Ya, Patrick is very humble good guy, throughout this reno period we've given him quite a number of last minute troubles (so very pai seh ) such as: 1) already painted my doors very dark colours, then changed mind to paint white instead 2) already drilled & mounted my wall fan on wall tile, then changed mind to move other place 3) already drilled hole for my wall lamp, then changed mind to other location 4) first wanted to hack hall floor, then don't want, then night before reno suddenly change mind to want hack floor, he had to last minute rush to re-apply the reno permit again.. and many others cos we are 1st timers, quite blur...maybe it's b'cos of people like us he's very busy So really hope not everyone is like us Even so, he still help us to solve all the probs without any complains - everything also 'ok, no problem', maybe not immediately but sooner or later he'll solve it. I find him very professional & understanding..i nvr regret my decision to hire him -
Hahah..pai seh pai seh ... i din actually measure, just based on estimation from pic..Thanks!!

Wah, flames & wok some more ..i can just imagine the smoke & smell Unless you have a super chimney, better to get a sliding door, even a simple one will do.. just my personal opinion....

Can i just give my opinion based on real life experience? The house that i'm living at now has bathrooms with half wall tile, half painted wall. However the half painted wall after some time starts to have mould & peel off. It could be due to the moisture or steam from the hot water.. It's very very unsightly & we dun hv time to maintain it. Therefore our new house we just tile up everything. So if you really want to hv half painted wall in your bathroom, would suggest that: 1) use really good anti-mould paint 2) probably can install exhaust fan to minimise moisture trap I think the above measures could only minimise the damage & all..i still feel tiling up the whole bathroom is better...think of it as investment...

Hi Jack i think the width for the sink area is abt 4ft (excluding the piping part) , and the depth is abt 1.5ft. The 2-bowl sink itself is 820x500mm. You can measure based on the number of squares you see on the floor tile - one square is 30 x 30cm (= 1ft x 1ft)

My Done-up Curtain 2/6/08 From Malaysia
Melissa Ng replied to flyersummer's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Hi Flyersummer I oso PM you for the curtains contact -
Hi Cherry, Is it really spacious? But i still need to squeeze dining table n fridge in leh Maybe it's due to the colours & reflections I did not change the opening door of my mbr, just re-paint it. The door u see above is actually for my toilets.

Here's to share my bi-fold mirror door, which has aluminium frame. I was quoted $230 per door

I went to house this afternoon, thought of taking pics of my new laminated floor, however the painting is still in process, so all the floors are covered. I think currently the paint is still 1st coat, waiting to apply 2nd coat Bedroom walls : Apple white (Dulux Easywash) Hall walls: Morning Dew (Dulux Easywash) with reflection of natural sunlight To those who had been curious on how my Mirror Bi-fold door looks like, here it is. The mirror makes my toilet 'disappear' - like david copperfield illusion The door frame is made of aluminium My Mitsubishi Starmex System 3 (Inverter) in all my 2 bedrooms + study room. You could try to squeeze him as much as we did ( but dun say i told u this ya ) I'll PM you his name & no. He can actually come down to your place to present to you without any obligation, no need for you to troublesome go down to their exhibition or showroom. His quotation is oso based on actual site measurement. When he first quote us it was for hall + 3 bedrooms. Later we changed our mind to do 3 rooms only. He didn't hold any grudge against us and still maintain the friendliness & price which he gave at first. Compare to other Supreme salesman we saw in Expo, we felt his customer service is the best (maybe cos he's the manager?), would give him a 2 thumbs-up

wow Cueball, ur 3D is very impressive So is your house For my laminated floor i bought AC5 wood by Supreme, at abt $4.20~ 4.30 p.s.f. during their exhibition in Expo. At the demo, in order to show the durability of the wood, they used keys to scratch it, then poured kerosene to burn it, use marker pen to draw on it then wipe it. In the end the wood still look brand new. And the sales manager we talked to was willing to give us good price ( after couple of hours of chatting & bargaining till all the shops close, he even fetch us home) Hahah, i guess we were easily impressed Here's one of the thread rgd laminated floors: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...c=12474&hl=

hi Yenming, Nice house you got there Your whole house very squarish, very good Congratulations! Looking forward to see your dream project becoming true

I have decided to go with Movers_101, i think their price is pretty reasonable for my simple stuffs . The person I talked to - Pearly sounds nice too . Will give feedback once they move my place at the end of this month. Shalom is actually quite professional when I talked to them, surf their web & receive their quotation thru e-mail, however it's a little pricey for me, esp since my place is not lift -level. They even have insurance coverage if you want. Maybe next time when i have more complicated things to move then i'll try them.

Abt 2 weeks ago (last week of May) my hubby met Patrick & Ah Keong to discuss abt kitchen cabinet. He said they seem to be very good friends, got talk & joke. My hubby didn't bring up abt ah Keong leaving.
