  1. Containers made from carpentry. Courtesy of Mr. Foo Good for storing umbrellas, brooms, mops etc
  2. Without top cabinet look sleek and spacious but will it be enough for usage? How many feet is the below cabinet?
  3. Apologies, I cant remember. Choosing was done mainly by CO and Mr. Foo. But I think the brand is Lamintek.
  4. Mounting of the TV in "frame" with full motion wall mount.
  5. I told Mr. Foo with what I want and he came up with the ideas and design. Along the way small improvisations here and there. If you want to do it my way, with a long enough wall and space (width of living room) to incorporate these monster cabinets, it is a good way to have more storage. These cabinets are full height, ceiling to floor, depth of 600mm. Average carpentry cost like $200 up per foot run (full height) , measure your wall and do the math. For eg. if doing my size of cabinet but to display DVDs only then I feel it is a waste of money as DVDs takes up little space (width x length). Further to this, if wanna display them, means either open shelving or a glass door cabinet. Open means dust collecting and agonizing when cleaning. Glass doors are another ball game totally. Cost will go up, on top of the average $200 per foot run, plus glass attracts dust, finger prints and stains. Wiping with a damp cloth leaves water. ie. High maintenance. TV console depends on if you wanna wall mount or use the TV stand. TV stand is straight forward; a flat top for the TV to sit on is good enough. If wall mount, do you wanna a tilt only mount or full motion mount. Tilt only is, well tilts up and down only. A full motion mount is one where the TV can be pull away from the wall and swing left and right, cater for viewing from different part of the house. However, full motion comes at a price, ranging from $250 and up, with or without installation. Mine went thru Samsung, paid $280 including installation. If dont intend to spend so much, Lack from Ikea has proper wall mount shelf unit for DVDs storage. For TV console, you can source from Tmall/Taobao, ranges from $200 up, $150 shipping (estimate). I suggest to go for those solid wood type, cost more to $500 up range, comparing with local price, still a great deal even after shipping. Hope this helps you with your planning and have a good reno journey.
  6. Did not visit Supreme, Krono was recommended by Mr. Foo who I later dealt directly with. He had used them in some of his projects and he find them comparative with others and pricing is also on the more reasonable side. I only did the comparison with Evorich and price is the dictating factor. At $1psf cheaper, it is a straight forward decision for me as I am doing approx 1000 square feet. I had both samples, felt them, hold them and dont see any major difference. Well, only point to nit pick perhaps is one might fancy the colors offered by either brand. Fumes wise, never smell anything or feel uncomfy till now, all is good and fine.
  7. Here goes the link. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.9.245.VsulNg&id=18649608056&_u=o1n55c8t0ed7
  8. More Pictures My new piggy bank, gonna take me a while to fill it up.
  9. The area now...... Still trying to mix and match to get the desire feel..... Tough job especially when I am the one doing the shifting around while "someone else" doing the ordering.... With down lights on With down lights off
  10. A little more update.....The little "box up" shelving earlier when bare and empty.
  11. Honestly, that is one expensive downlight! But the look is clean and sleek.
  12. Dont dwell on it. I bet we have the same bricks. there are also parts with "blemishes" as well. It adds character to the wall. Anyway this wall of mine is only about 3 meters plus only.
  13. Both color has their charms, it is personal preference. I did mine using the same color as yours, with warm lights on, create a cosy ambiance.
  14. Aesthetically pleasing and yet with great functionality. I like the idea of having the privacy when the door is open.
  15. Puggy, standby some of these adapters first since you are buying fans and table lamps etc
  16. Small but cute Dulton magnet clock on my fridge. From TB and cost RMB65. Solves the issue of no wall space in the kitchen or those who did not wanna drill a hole on the wall. But be warn, this is a real small piece, OD is 73mm only.
  17. Welcome to the Taobao Club. A handsome clock you have there. By the way, have you check out the Dulton magnet clock? Small but cute.
  18. Pardon me, must have misread the queries. The digital locks are quoted at $1500 plus installation. Gate itself is $1300 if I remember correctly. Separate vendor, from Sam and not Ricky.
  19. So far dealing with Ricky is a breeze, nothing out of common. Not too sure about other's past experience. I think he does non digital lock as well but main forte seems to be digital lock. Gate I got it from Sam HP 9632 1840. I did my balcony windows and all grilles thru him.
  20. My opinion, it looks just fine. The splashing is just a mind factor which your heart is tinkering with. Most kitchen I saw have the tap sitting on the table top and sitting on the sink, pardon me, is a little yester years design. Of course you can insist to change however your ID is gonna swallow the cost himself and will hurt his margin and lose his willingness to offer discount or more assistance. However you can accept it and use this as a leverage to bargain for freebies a more discount later.
  21. I got all my wooden doors and digital lock from Ricky Ang of An Digital. A very nice young man who made no less than 3 trips just to confirm the order. Trips include presentation of the lock, measurement of the doors, supervision of installation plus explanation. Such sales ethics are worth mentioning and deserves commendation. Ricky Ang An Digital HP 90998233
  22. The quoted price is $1500 for both the digital locks.
  23. For the main door, we decided to use Samsung SHS-P717 We change the main door as well. The push pull concept is one of the reason we choose this model. After you replace the main door, you need a lock set and perhaps a handle. Nice handles dont come cheap. Those we often see with a long vertical bar type cost $100 up. So add the lock set and the handle up, may set you back $400 or more. So topping up to get the digital lock does makes more sense. The 717 comes with handle, looking clean and sleek and sut the needs. Samsung SHS-P717 (Push Pull Door Lock Concept) - PIN/RFID access - Wide Touch Pad Screen with random security codes - Double Authorization Access (RFID + PIN) - Master PIN for any enrolment and deletion - Emergency external battery terminal - Emergency mechanical override key - Indoor wireless Remote Controller (Optional item) - Alert system for any possible intruders The reverse side (inside the house)
  24. Photo of YALE YDR323-G The remote comes with a wall mount as well. Approx. 12 x 7.5 (cm)
