Hi, Was wondering if it is normal for shelves in cabinet to be slightly misaligned and that laminates has bumps on the edges. Also is it normal for there to be holes that are covered with a white round sticker? when i brought this up to my id, they told me it is a normal problem in the industry.... and that it is normal to have those holes in the wood because of how they fabricate it.... that some company wont even cover it up with the sticker. Tried looking at several pictures in the T-blogs but cannot identify a picture clearly :( thanks...

Hi! I wish to ask some third party opinion. I got my marble flooring (white cored) laid fairly recently (about a month) and realised that there tiles with spots of grey/totally greyish in color. I checked with the marble supplier and was told that it is due to sealant being applied and that marble, being a natural stone have different absorbance level and that given time (up to 6 mths!) The sealant shld ne totally absorbed and it shld be the same color tone. I cant find any information to corroborate with what the marble supplier said so I am wondering if anyone has similar or knows any similar cases! Thanks in advance!

Hi! In a dilemma now. My dad wants me to do marble flooring for my new 4 room flat. I dont mind but I wanted to do only living room and walkway. He keep scaring me with stories of the problem with laminates, if spoil must change my whole floor.. build in stuff have to remove.. termites etc etc. But we feel laminates foe bedroom is very nice and gives a warmer feeling and not to mention it is cheaper. Seeking opinion on my delimma... go ahead do all marble or do marble in living and walkway, laminates for bedroom but my dad not happy..?

However, the quotes the other ID that I have thus far received is not very comparable because it did not include quite a number of things we wanted done. We wouldnt mind contractor over IDs but me and wifey job's places a lot of demand on us (very long hours) and we are afraid we cannot squeeze time to monitor the projects :\ Actually I wanted to know if the price is reasonable for the things that I wanted to do. most of the costs are from the carpentry for the study/home office with all the bookshelves and the wardrobe. I mean, we sat down with the ID to get a picture of what was quoted so I can at least safely say that we are satisfied that the quote includes most of the items that we wanted done but not sure if the prices are right or if our expectations are too unreasonable.
