i like your woody tiles. what color is ur paint? i choose to paint my in sail white, but the color turn out yellowish like yours. me and my contractor was there when they just started painting. quickly stop them and contractor change the paint to another white paint. sail white appear white in the catalog but turn out yellow. weird...

just before i left the place for my 1st visit, the bifold door for the toilet and alu grilles arrived. but during my 2nd trip back, only grilles in common room and yard are installed. toilet doors are no where to be seen. according to tiler uncle, they made mistake with the door, so contractor got them send back. hope that they are able to replace it by tomorrow. another problem... grilles are the yard has 3 panels. i end up having locks knocking on to each other.

kancheong me made 2 visit to the house yesterday. laminate flooring was lay for both common room and mbr. from far it looks quite nice but there are quite a few piece of mismatch planks. checked with a friend who used to deal with laminates, according to her it is unavoidable. if i want every pieces to match, i will have to buy alot of it which means very high wastage.

tv bracket isnt universal? there's different bracket for different brands? where to buy universal tv bracket? i need to have it installed by tmr!

anyone got any recommendation on where to get shoes cabinet? looking high and low for a suitable shoes cabinet but most are ugly and old-fashion. is that why most ppl custom make their shoes cabinet? my contractor quoted slight more than 1k if i will to make one. worth spending? my wall length is approximately 2.5m and most probably having the shoes cabinet at half height.

reno went into frenzy last sat. there's ppl doing carpentry, ppl installing light, measurement taken for kitchen top, ppl painting, ppl running aircon pipes. suddenly the place looked more put together. kitchen tall carpentry up, i got this super big drawers which contractor is using blum tracks for these. those tracks isn't mention on the quotation. dont know if he will charge me for it. but i didnt make the decision, he volunteered for it. but he did says that i should not put too heavy stuff into it, otherwise the drawers might snag. kitchen ceiling light from tb, didnt realised that there is a gap between the wall the lights. next time i will have to climb up to clean. down side of buying from tb, u will nv know what u get until its too late. but with the price, cannot complain lah. still happy with the purchase. really love the grey and white colour combo, the laminate used for the hole looks good with these colours. mbr aircon, platform and painting up. super happy with the colour, this is the only wall in the house which is not white. great decision on the aircon position. i have all the aircon pipe in the 2nd room instead. mbr has the minimum expose pipe in the house.

we have sort of decided to leave the water pipe this way. my way of running the pipes isn't fantastic either. was rather upset with myself for not thinking ahead with the pipe works. here is how the toilet look like after the installation of the sink and toilet bowl. with all these in, the pipe doesnt seems to show that much. we will probably get use to it after awhile. bought both my basin from tb, very happy to receive them with no issue. but the seller send me the wrong model of 下水器 and the toilet fittings i got from them isnt stainless steel (blame it on my lousy chinese ). not going to use those stuff for the toilet, sort of lugi a bit on those stuff. all in all i did save quite a bit on the basin, so no complains.

someone help me... is this an acceptable way to run the water pipe? will it be better if the water pipe will to drop immediately once it enter the toilet and run across the right wall connect direct to the mixer? according to contractor, my method is a lazy way to run the pipes, things will look nicer with the pipe running down with the main waste pipe. but with the pipe run this way, it will take longer for the hot water to reach its outlet. seriously confuse if i should get the contractor to rerun it. he got another 5days to complete the reno but there's still tons of stuff to do!

the best tip is not to buy synthetic leather sofa i got a synthetic leather bench at my old place, last me less than a yr. my friend got a synthetic leather sofa, cracked within a yr too. maybe you could try those leather care product. not sure if it will be effective.

my cost for re-pipe my system 3 aircon at $900. yours should be lesser than that since you could probably use back your current pipe. i do think that this is the ID fault. like what vuzu says, will the ID run the pipe like that at his own place? not sure what you mean by this. they ordered the wrong tiles or have they already lay the tiles? do supervise your reno carefully. your id doesnt seems to give a **** abt it.

it sounds more like a 50k job. if your budget is small, minimise hacking. overlaying toilet tiles instead of hacking. consider vinyl flooring, since you dont like laminate. cut off all carpentry work, other than kitchen cabinet consider painting existing doors instead of changing. maybe can try painting on your own. even then 20k might still be tight to work with.

nope you are not allow to change the pipe on your own. my cousin flat just got theirs changed by hdb, cost them $600 to revamp 2 toilet. if you can, leave your toilet alone and wait for HIP. it will save you a bundle.

maybe you should insist the aircon trunking to be re-run. we just installed aircon at my father place, we have no trunking running above the skirting. my mil place aircon was done donkey yrs ago, and she do have her trunking like urs. quite a pain when u cant push the bed against the wall. with the gap, u will have to dust the trunking every now and then. another way is to get ur ID box up the whole recess area. and since it is his mistake, he will have to pay for it. but that will take up a bit of your space. will you be able to move in before 7th month?

LHWH, old hdb doesnt allow concealment of wiring, water and gas pipes. i was very disappointed when i 1st know abt this after i got my unit. to self console, i keep telling myself that i will get use to it. but for ur mixer connector, i think there should have a nicer connector, without seeing the copper part, everything stainless steel.

another trip to the house yesterday afternoon. 12 days to go for the handover and there's still quite alot of things to do. aircon pipe electricity work water and gas pipe laminate for 2 common room glass panels for kitchen and yard window grilles toilet fittings painting carpentry work contractor says he will handover in time. hope that he deliver... pictures of the kitchen and yard... cement screed wall... give a rustic look to the place. nice?

Good to know that gloss white is easy to clean. I think all white laminates turn slight yellow after awhile. If u are using kompacplus maybe should use a solid color laminate, grey? Since u r bored with white. Wood laminate with kompacplus might be messy. But im not a expert, horrible with color coordinate therefore i tend to play it safe. What did ur id suggest?

Yes, my old matt white cabinet do have stains that i cant clean off, not obvious but its always there. Really drives me crazy every cny spring cleaning. Im a little OCD on this it could be just me being picky. Think of it this way, white is more everlasting. If u get sick of it, just use some color deco to change the look. But wooden laminte might be tough. My dad place used a pattern laminate for his kitchen, it look very dated now although reno is done just 5yrs ago. How's ur experience with gloss white laminate? Easy to clean?

photos i took during my last week visit... tiler working hard with my concert sink support. got the sink from taobao, very good quality and the tap that comes with it is super solid. good buy. cant wait to start using them my wavy subway tiles with grey gout. super love this wall. simple yet very striking one of the reason why i choose to have a very plain white laminate and table top for the kitchen cabinet. all attention will be on the wall tiles. plus my chio chimney bosch hood. cant wait to see the end result...
