thanks for your info. Is it the same as marble that can suck up the stain? Means they need a kind of equipment to do it? Or just buy some lotion and rub rub rub rub until it is clear again?
  2. Contractors will give you a padlock key, so he is holding one key and you another same key. Means wooden door and metal gate not lock. Only use padlock, thats all.

Hi RAL Dark patches (some sort of liek a water marks) (at the 4 sides of the granite tiles)?? That is what I want to know also. How he (contractor) can actually remove the stain. Maybe you can ask your contractor (asap) since he told you that he will do something about it. What will he really do? Can he do it now?

Good morning BUL 1) Using wax is to patch minor chip.....(Means the tiles are not good? Or in grade B or C? Or is ex-stock??, that's why need to wax to patch minor chip?? Am I right to say that?) 2) ....cheap solution....(So means what my neighbours told me is true, I mean the contractor actually has the ability to wipe out the stain? What solution they use to clean/wipe out the stain from the granite??, the contractor said he is the only 1 in spore that is able to do it.) Thanks! HAPPY
  5. Maybe you should also try to hunt a few more..... Mine is Uhome (Dianel), nice guy, very patients, distrub him a bit, ask impossible questions, and he still keeps his cool. A bit pricy....
  6. Hi OOI I love your kitchen layout, especially the glass panel! Wow very class!! I dont know whether mine can have it or not. Is it expensive??

Heard this, he claim he is the only one in spore that can wipe off the stain in the granite. Provided he/she let him renovate the house. My question is: Can I actually use some chemical to wipe off the stain from the granite??? Is there should a chemical??
  8. This evening around 730pm, I went up to 24th floor (happen to see the lights still on). It was near 95% complete. 1) Flooring (Living & Dining) - granite: worksmanship = ok not bad, but certain tiles is very dark in colour. Means can see patches. The tilers should actually discard the tiles away as it is very dark. Line is smooth but of course certain area not even lah. Also feel like the granite gana soak in water..maybe they still have not wash (chemical).... 2) MBR - laminate flooring: worksmanship = Feel as if it is I was walking in the air, nice colour, very warm feeling. Very smooth! Good worksmanship. 3) Kitchen - Cabinet is nicely up, the whole area looks very big indeed. Can even put a small table (buy those small table that is solid adn heavy) beside the window, next to the toilet. 4) Features wall - Very nice design. Simple and elegant! 5) Lights - Nice shape. Except the dining area, the lights a bit low. ****Yes I see the beam on the wall facing the living room window. Lastly, no wind lay!!!! Go take a look in the evening......
  9. Hi NEM Initially when I hunt for contractors, I dont have anything in mind. Blur blur like sotong, BUT REMEMBER DONT SIGN ANYTHING!!!!! So, when talk to id/contractors they usually give you this and that. Wow see the cost, heart jump very fast! Gradually, I find out that certain things I dont need at all. So, I decided to draft out what I really want for my house. And then sit down and carefully think over is that what I really want (with you darling lah). Then write out the final item lists, together with photostated floor plan, start calling and e-mail/fax your floorplan and the items you want and ask for their quotation. Remember always stick to your final item list (so that it will be easy to compare the price range). After each discussing, ask them how they do, this n that lah etc.... Also, maybe ask some features design and ask them to quote again. (this way, the id will have to take another 1 to 2 weeks to quote n you will have time to sit and read their quotation, heehehe) I also find out that packages is a bit dangerous as there are many hidden cost. So, better ask for item list price. Once feel comfortable with the them, ask them to bring you to showflat. No showflat, can kiss good bye! Then another day (or weeks) ask them to bring you to see tiles! Take your time to choose, record the tiles number. (why? so that can ask another id that you want this tiles!) I dont know whether they will bring you to see tiles (as it means you are confirm!)
  10. Talking about bases...only wm n fridge got tiles surface except cabinet base. I have talked to id requesting to put tiles surfaces on it and they said waste money and cabinet lay on it, cannot see the tiles and it will be uneven for the cabinet. My wife told me in future if the cabinet spoilt and wanted to buy cabinet from funiture shop (comes with 4 legs), at least the surface is not cement.
  11. I feel it is better to have a base for wm, fridge and cabinet. I have this experiences, I forgot to close the kitchen window and happen that in the moring (I am in the office) it rains very very heavily and water splash in until my kitchen floor sock with water! Luckily, wm, fridge and cabinet not spoilt as there is a base! Another incident is washing my cloths, I went out lah (never sit and wait for it to finish), somehow, wm spoilt and splash out all the water! Also, once in the blue blue moon, it is better to splash water and scrub the kitchen floor, at least kids love to play with it hahahaha...
  12. Mine is 25b. Got problem liao. Jan 08 take key...very near cny!! If cannot find contractors, die on the spot!!
  13. This is what I learn. When you purchase a resale flat, it ie better to bring along a baby or small kids (maybe 2 yr old), when they step inside the house, if they laugh and happy and smile, means the house is good. If they started to cry out of no reason, then dont buy the house.
  14. Dont worry about owners see our views. Blame it on the contractor worksmanship. But if you compare to the condo showflat, it was such a drastic different. The worksmanship is excellent! I think they (blk 25a) forgot to do one thing. Turn on the air con. Pple mind will change!!
  15. Actually my id also recommended me half shower screen (save half of the cost) and I find it practical as I dont need to open the door, close the door, open the door........
  16. Hi If lemon can remove the stain, then can it apply to the granite flooring?? I mean if stain, can I use lemon to wipe it off? Please advise and thanks!! HAPPY
  17. Hi Any picture to show what is under and over mount??? Thanks! HAPPY
  18. Hi MS BEAN You live in blk 25b unit 108 (5 room)?? Oh, then have to wait until jan 08...... Oh, so it is WeiKen showflat! His shop is at blk 29. Hmm...my friend also want to let him do. Nice guy and look serious in doing business. For Wekin, I have no comment. You know lah, I kpo kpo talk talk to the uncle and auntie and heard that the worksmanship is rough. I have yet see their 'near completion' showflat. So no comment really!
  19. Thanks, I already stirke them off my list a few weeks back. Oh really that bad for the top cabinet??? I heard that 4th floor also have show flat. Anyidea belong to which contractors? hopefully not Tong Hong and Homemakers!!!!!
  20. Yes I am everybody would like to know who are they so that we wont gana con by them. Actually I also thought of changing into copper pipes...now dont need liao. Save money!!
  21. Hi RED, plse tell pm me who is the contractor so that I will take note of it. Thanks HAPPY
  22. If no design or features wall etc... I think about $20k will do. But depends on your floor area.
  23. Hi CRA Ok, pm me, that's what I want. I dont want to go down, my first priority is the price. If the price is within my budget, then I will call them and meet them to discusss what I want further. No point going to meet the contractor if the quote is way out of my budget. Yes you are right, like for instances I went to one of the company last week and they should me (not 3 d design), just a plan drawout about wiw. And I just wow, how come I did not think of that??? But my pirority is budget. If within my budget, then go down to discuss further will be better. At least you will know whether you can shortlist him/her or not. I also went to one contactor and they quote me about $34k! Way way out of my budget and waste my time travelling there, talk about 2 hours (heart already say no no).
