Hi DRA Ironing also consume much of the electricity right? I seldom iron nowadays. Buy those that is not easily crisp. Same as what you mentioned. So far (1st day move in) I only on the air con less than 1 hour! My bill for the 1st month is ard; $20+ c/w rebates. HAPPY

Better dont tiam tiam (hahaha ask MUD said)), tell them again and dont assume they know what you want. Assume they dont know is better than assume they know. For shopping I prefer to go with my family...though very siong but enjoyable as every family member got to see and visits all those shop lights and accessories. If no time, then as MUD auggested, go with you ID. Beware that ID/contractors might earn some commission when they bring you to shop. Mean, price will be much higher than walk in customers. In that case, report to BSC and ask their sub con plumber to check. But I am not sure Karin will entertain you or not cos for my case, she told me to look for my own plumber!!!! If they got sub con plumber, what for I look for my own plumber? You may try....but no g'tee. If you found out that it is the main con fault, you shot mail and call hdb and call main con for compensation! The plumber need to take out the bowl to see inside. Hi VIT...you may send as many defects but that BSC Karin will tell you before reno, you should submit the defects list. Will give you a kind of displeasure looks! I am waiting for Karin company to credit my $100 to my account. Anyway, gonna call her company again to check the status and any action taken again the attitude problem Karin.

Hi DROP...not the smell, whenever I pass motion, I flashed and it suck out very slowly. Urine is ok but no pass motion. You has to pump it out! You may see the jalan membina blog that I post to the bsc office..terrible. I send mail to hdb, to the main con, called them up...lots of mail and calling until they come anc check. Yes, remove the wc to check the pan collar, the pipe...suggest you ask the main con plumber to take out the wc and check the pan collar and the ground pipe whether in aligenment or not. Might cause the bad smell if not aligenment. That is my assumption lah. Might be wrong. But to check, the whole wc must take out and see. HAPPY

Hello Friends....maybe this might help a little. Sorry I am not from your area. Try to go outside of the house, look up at your unit, see whether your kitchen facing outside or not. If so, better to switch on the kitchen lights. You know, robbery tends to look upwards for any dark units. If they spot light at your kitchen, probably they will change target. That can be done on your living room or one of your bedroom. Just leave the lights on when you and your family go out, be it 1 hour, just on the light. It wont cost you much on the elecdtricity. Agreed with Uncle MACE...kekekekke....my unit also have a very little reno, no features wall, no false ceiling, no L boxes (majority of the owners are having this)....my ceiling only have lights and ceiling fans. Feel airy and not feeling pressed down. Unique? I think so....kekekekeke...

Hi WON...yes, Karin company is actually the main con. Submitted to their HQ and complain about the poor services and attitude by her. Anyway, the head (I suppose) so, willing to pay back the compensation to me. Sometimes we jsut dont want to go that far, but she make me do it this hard way. Just rec' a mail from her company and quoted: "...We will certainly look into your feeback and will investigate on the whole matter. We would not hesitate to hold an enquiry for my staff, and if it deems necessary, we will definitely take disciplinary action as in accordance with our company practice of handling attitude problem staff....." HAPPY

Hello Patsy...maybe I fall under your age group! Maybe youngster go for the in-thing for their house renovation. For me and for my age, I prefer to keep it very simple (as you can see my blog), nothing special at all. No features wall, no L box, no false ceiling. Just a nice and spacious space to move around. At the end of the day, you wont feel 'sian' when you look at your house. Maybe I am those interest die easily. That is why 'theme' is out for me. I afraid I might feel 'sian' by looking at the same features wall year after year.

Hi APA...yeah, actually SP stick a notice on my door saying the meter shot up very high, asked me to check any leakage. And my floor tiles has just began only. I took the notice and let Karin see and she say all sort of excuses like I should submit the defects before reno...how I know. Good thing is that one of the SP guy called me and told me to tell the main con to call him as he will shot back at them for spouting nonsenses especially Karin. Btw, normally we test the flashing afterthat, I close the cover. Probaly that's why I couldnt hear the water flowing out. Good things my tilers saw it and he switch off the tap. Wow, you are so lucky...but anyway, the plumber told me a few units need to attend to. I wonder whether the units are empty (have not renovate).... Pasar malam coming!!!!!!!! All the makeshift tent arre almost really. Will be pretty noisy and fun!

Hi APPLE...yeah, my mum unit same as yours: Blue Perl ($95psf)...kekekek cheaper $5! Mine is Imperial Golden, so far so good, no scratches and can withstand heat too!
