  1. Hi neigbour! I haven’t logged on in a while and the first time I did after so long, the first post I came across & was reading, I found the view very familiar^^ I really like your platform area with your plant rack, it’s like you created a mini balcony out of the room. It looks cosy & relaxing, great idea!
  2. I'm using a 90cm round table (seats 4) with the diamond-shaped pendant in the smallest size (38cm) paired with a single edison bulb 40W in yellow light, so far quite ok. I think the size of lamp doesn't matter, but the brightness & type of bulb you use?
  3. Some improvement for my playroom: Bought these pink cubes (1/2 price!) from Howard's Storage = increased storage space. One holds accessories & a lamp on top while the other became my manicure centre. Finally found a clock I like that fits my room. Can always tell time easily now. Bought the white cable box from TB. Very useful indeed! Can hardly see the wires now. Previously was a mess of tangled wires... Fave design from Ikea so far, the simple black & white: Loving our choice of window & doors^^
  4. Since we added on the air-fryer, there hasn't been much space on our countertop, so TB to the rescue again! Bought this simple stainless steel rack to maximize the space: So now we have the microwave + oven + pressure cooker + air-fryer placed neatly together: What we really liked about our place is that the windows are almost full-length, so we get alot of natural light in the day. Taken on a dark rainy day: very cosy to read on the sofa. Added a mini garden. Everything from Daiso^^
  5. Hi lianaalin, So far they are holding up ok. I guess it's cos we don't have alot of clothing. The thing is not to over-load them. Like what ricepapergirl mentioned, kids' clothing should be fine^^
  6. Very nice!! I love all the black & white. We got the same duvet, step ladder & Kallax, don't you just love Ikea?
  7. I like all your TB buys. My fave is definitely the bookshelf for your study room. It looks unique!
  8. Hi! Welcome to Kovan! Just read your blog & realized your layout is exactly the same as my parents' home. I used to occupy bedroom 2 until I got married & moved out hehe. The size is definitely much bigger than current BTOs. And very informative blog you have, I enjoyed reading it very much.
  9. I really like your light choice #6 & your clock #9, really has that Parisian feel!
  10. Found a nice metal bucket tin & with some roses, set up a mini garden in our MBR: Changed to new F21 x Kitty Antique Design bedspread & matching cushions: And finally put our oven to use by baking some Kitty pineapple tarts: They didn't look as nice after they baked to a brown tone, but still tastes yummy. Shall improve on them again. Happy New Year everyone!
  11. In view of CNY, have added a few decorations around the place. First up: a DIY shoe rack /mini garden for our main door assembled with items from Daiso: CNY Kitty deco for our MBR door: Matching deco for our playroom doors: Purchased a black step ladder from Ikea & it is designated as our orange area with a basket & a poster^^
  12. Hi! I'm intrigued by your theme of bohemian.& I like your lighting choices. Looking forward to see how everything turns out
  13. Wow, I love your colorful place. Looking forward to more updates!
  14. Christmas edition #2: DIY-ed a Xmas greeting poster for our bar counter. set it up with my fave neon pink tree: Cut some silver snowflakes for my playroom window for that Xmas-sy touch: Convinced hubby that we needed a tree now that we have our own place & Christmas just isn't complete without one. We had fun doing it up. Turns out hubby was great at draping the lights & garland & ribbon & I hung up the ornaments. It looks pretty magical lighted up at night! Here's a shot taken from the sofa facing the main door. Turns out we have 3 Xmas trees now. Loving them!
  15. Christmas edition #1: Having our own home means I get free reign in design when it comes to special holidays, super happy!! Started off by adding Xmas wreaths to our doors - MBR & my playroom: Added a mini tree to our coffee table along with a pot of Xmas plant: Added a card to my chalkboard:
  16. Been living-in for coming to 6 months & still loving every bit of our new home! Always on the lookout for cute & unique stuff to add on^^ Came across this super cute cloud lamp the other day & just had to get it! Added another occupant to our sofa: And set up my mini Zen garden:
  17. Hi dazzlingeri, The ones with colorful prints were purchased from TB (http://world.taobao.com/item/40714516386.htm?fromSite=main&spm=a312a.7700846.0.0.Wd2cpZ&_u=h1taaa02b7ce. The rest were purchased from Bangkok. I forgot the name of the mall, but most major departmental stores will carry Sanrio licensed products. Don't worry! Pink Parfait was one of the colors I was considering too. It is a very pretty candy pink. I gave it up cos I needed something lighter in tone. For MBR, I wanted a very pale pink with a tinge of beige. Some of the colors I was considering - Shadow Rose, Bashful, Evening Blush, Fragile Pink & Heirloom. This was after narrowing down. All the soft pale pinks in the Dulux series look so pretty it's hard to pick just one. Finally settled on Fragile Pink after dragging hubby down to the paint store & comparing paint color samples. Hard decision to make but happy with my final color choice^^
  18. Hi dazzlingeri, Thank you! I love the eiffel tower, so I was very happy to find this TB seller who has a lot of colors for it, there's even a rainbow-colored one, but my fave will always be pink^^ http://world.taobao.com/item/35243547814.htm?fromSite=main&spm=a312a.7700846.0.0.WncOvq&_u=81taaa023127 The link I bought the mini jewellery holder from is no longer valid, I found another seller with the same item: http://world.taobao.com/item/2270928444.htm?spm=a312a.7700714.0.0.S7pFPn#detail The mini cupcake stand is very cute & very inexpensive: http://world.taobao.com/item/36390025363.htm?fromSite=main&spm=a312a.7700846.0.0.hP1Gob&_u=81taaa0268c6 I have quite a number of Kitty plates, let me know which one you are referring to & I'll try to get more info for you? For my toyroom, I was very particular about the color cos I was looking for the "right" shade of pink, it has to have the right amount of purplish tone to it but not too much & not too peachy either. So after narrowing down to the final 2 pink colors, we tested 2 sample patches on the wall to see the effect. Not too sure if you can see from the pic,, the 2 pink colors. Top one looks more subdued. Pic taken in daytime with no lighting. So in the end I went with the bottom color - a very pale pink called "Lilac Lace" from the Dulux Light & Space series - it is supposed to be using some technology that is light-enhancing & so will brighten up the space. If you are not sure about the color, it is always better to test it before using it for real.
  19. Happened to see this view the other day so today I took a photo. It really shows the contrast between our playrooms. Only similarity is we both chose to place our pcs directly in front of our windows. Other than that, the feel is entirely different. Mine: His: Good to have our own spaces^^
  20. Recently... I finally managed to find a bedsheet set in the perfect shade of pink to match my Liberty of London x Hello Kitty quilt so here's our current bedding, isn't it cheery & happy? On the domestic front, from the Expo sale Fri the 13th, we bought our very first air fryer! It turned out to be a very good purchase cos we have been using it so much. It's so convenient & really saves the hassle of cleaning up after cooking. I baked a moist choc cake & it was really so easy i couldn't believe it: And today our dinner was this Hong Kong style char siew, again unbelievably easy, just follow the instructions. Really good buy.
