  1. Alot! But the korean manhwa is even good. Honggane, Shinwhamong and Goong are cute comics. The artwork is not bad. And for japanese manga, there's tenshi na komanishi. My avator is of the 'girl' in tenshi na komanishi, Skip Beat, Ai wo Utau Yori Ore ni Oborero!, Absolute Boyfriend (This is one teary romantic but sweet story, the drama adapted from it is airing on tv now) Haou Airen (Its a mature manga but still a romantic one), Then the chinese version, The One (the characters are soooo hawt!) The list can go on literally for mangas cos I've been reading way too many. =x And yeah, i've watched anime shows online before they got licensed, sad to say. Saiunkoku Monogatari I and II are good. It's a fictional japanese style but with an oriental twist. And there's Vampire Knight too I do beat my cupcakes with a mixer. cupcakes and cakes share the same basic cake recipe, just that the style is different. Whisking manually is meant for airy and light cakes while beating is for heavy and moist cakes. How long do you beat the eggs and do you fold the mixture till its smooth or lumpy?
  2. newnyew & rondy: yeah was late cos i was reading anime manga online. So not dreaming of cakes definitely I'm too hooked on manga. Paiseh, just realise its your cake. Hmm what's your cake recipe? Hmm..you beat manually or with a mixer?
  3. The cream is not a fruity one or whipped cream either. It's a plain sweet italian meringue buttercream. The next time I want to make Swiss meringue buttercream. Cake is a very light sponge cake. Cheesecake is very versatile, its easy to experiment with the flavours but I'm not very good with cheescakes myself. Should bug precious to set a date kekeke Btw, Rondy.. I just saw your muffins! But we need to see your recipe for the muffins so that we can help you ascertain whats the big problem.
  4. Thanks for the tip. Will try it out again next time.
  5. Ya cos my friend requested for alot of fruits and a light cake for her mother's bday. I'm not too sure about the gelatine part as I looked up online to see whether must add gelatine since gelatine is similar to Jelly when set since its supposed to hold the fruits in place. Surprisingly, couldn't find any mention of dripping gelatine on top of fruits on an iced cake. Need to look up again. Thanks angel81, it's actually my first attempt in doing a fruits cake. I haven't heard about that but did you sift the flour before adding to the mixture? Sometimes the recipe may not require to beat the mixture when flour is added, it might involve using the folding method to fold the flour into half into the mixture.
  6. Thanks for the reply back then. I'm putting up pics of my latest cake pics for your viewing. My apologies for 'hijacking' ur blog for the pics, hope you don't mind it. One of those days i try out your recipe for cheesecake.
  7. It looks very gorgeous but would look more cozy if you threw in those sofa rug(the pashmina feel) and a bit of country decal at some corner like that.
  8. I agree chasing HDB Officers is a headache. I chased mine every then and now for updates regarding the keys to my place. All fast withdraw cpf money but when it comes to action very slow leh.
  9. Kekeke its not really an issue to a bachelor or bacherlotte living alone right? But your renovations will be ending when?
  10. Wow.. a penthouse is the ultimate bachelor pad with the roof terence. Can have a small party like that le.
  11. It depends on the factors surrounding angelwrath's situation at work I think. Next time order from your pet site if I need something for my hubby's doggie
  12. Yeah paint is not cheap. For us we spent close to 300+ for them since we got the paints from nippon warehouse sale over a year ago. Its more economical to save this way if there's a sale going on.
  13. Yep have a blog but i took down some pics for some reasons. I can understand it is very tiring, even when I was doing up my place with my hubby, we would go down to the place for 2 weeks and work till almost midnight. I even fell asleep in the balcony at one time since the whole area was too dirty & the balcony was the only clean area, having washed it a few times. The killer itself is painting the ceiling & painting the doors with oil based paint which is not washable with water but tupertine! In the end, its a cosy home to us with all the efforts we'd put in.
  14. Wow, that is alot of paints. Never mind abt the cost of the paints as long as you're happy with your own home which counts most.
  15. You guys painted the whole place yourself? Your place is looking good with the carpentry. It's definitely tiring to paint the whole place. I painted my own place with my hubby in just 1-2 weeks back then. Btw, the cans of paint costs 1k or is it for the paint job?
  16. Hmm, the system looks very interesting though. A fellow forummer, Smallboy here design her kitchen into 2 areas, wet and dry + her planning for storage is good. Maybe you can pick up a tip or something from her blog
  17. I've had mine for 1 yr odd already. I still do not have any problems with my laminate flooring to date. Except for one time when there was gaps showing, due to the flooring expanding. (This was resolved easily by the laminate guys) I usually mop like every 2 weeks with a sponge mop, using the detergent for laminate flooring. But I read somewhere else before can use a mix of vinegar + water to mop the floor also. AC3 is cheaper and generally suited for moderate human traffic in the bedrooms. AC5 is slightly more exp but suited for high traffic. Which is why they are used in commercial buildings and can be used throughout the whole place if you desire.. this is what the laminate guy told me before. Thats why I got the AC5 for all areas except for wet areas.
  18. Paiseh, think I'd got to give the outing a miss today as we'd have something on today. We'd join the next time round. Can pm me if there is any outing since I seldom go into RT much nowdays.
  19. Eh... wait.. is the outing at bliss in the day or evening?
  20. Np about that. I let you know after I've asked Mr Bun.
  21. Yo all. Been a while since i dropped by. Sky: It'd take a week to recover right? So it would not be so bad by the time it recovers. apple: Found this when i was googling other info. http://www.moderncat.net/category/beds-loungers/
  22. You're really very good at planning the kitchen storage esp the blum pull out drawers. I might KIV those for future planning next time. Care to share the total cost for the kitchen?
  23. Wah a hello kitty theme. I wonder if there's any other home in singapore having this theme I remember reading about this lady who did up a 2 storey home & a basement with the hello kitty theme some time back. Not just toys but custom-made stuff like mirrors, bedhead and so on in the shape of hello kitty. If its my hubby, he will be too overwhelmed with the colour pink and the kitty I guess.
  24. I like the MBR light, how much you paid for it btw? My thought about skin care is that, irregardless of whether its inexpensive or expensive.. the main point is the skin's reaction to the products. And to care for yourself & body is about loving yourself while understanding the needs of your skin, health, not the cost or going under the knife to prove it.
  25. Ah your home is very cosy and very mei mei leh. But your bed is very inviting, can i pop over and sleep on your bedsheets? *kidding lah* Akemi brand is pretty good, got different colours & patterns also. I love bedsheets, this drives my hubby nuts as we have only 1 bed and I always keep looking at bedsheets. But personally i feel that life itself is short and we all are busy with work and family not to mention other commitments, sleep alone is such a big luxury nowdays. *sigh*
