  1. Long time no see you in RT. A pity that you and your wife sealed up the floral wall cos it is an asset to have a vintage look sometimes. When are your furnitures going to be in? Can take pics of your lights that are up now in your home?
  2. What is your budget huh, SF? I sort of practically contacted almost every MUA in town except for the very expensive MUAs like the celebrity MUA, andy or Dily Wang(There are 2 Dilys from what I understand.) Also it depends on how many changes of outfit your wife will be having for the evening part. Some MUAs charge extra for 2nd change too. Frankly I would adopt 1 evening makeup & hairstyle for the whole duration of the dinner, no point spending extra for 2nd or 3rd change when its just purely makeup. (I would definitely prefer to use that extra bit for something else) Angel Chua was one of the MUAs I'd contacted previously & she seems an enthusiastic lady but I don't know about her skills cos I never use her.
  3. You mean the taiwanese born MUA based in sg? Her porfolio looks good though Never tried her before. I contacted her like last week but too early for me to have my makeup done as she got another customer on that day. So have to skip her though.
  4. Looks good to me, it does look very well maintained as well. I envy leh, I want to have such a pretty window view from my place also. kekeke.
  5. For some of the details to finalise like photo changes, there was no need to go down. Only corresponded with the BS via email on the photo changes & calls for other details. I think we made a total of 4 trips to the BS there only. It probably would be time consuming for you due to your flt schedule.
  6. If you need a good but cheaper package, can source from JB side too. I got mine from there too, about nearly 2k sgd that covers everything except the MUA part for the AD.
  7. Wah your mum really throw the kittens and cat away? No give them away to other people who want them?
  8. Yup important. Lol I more spider practically go check out almost every MUA see who free. So far, the most popular MUAs charge high price for day & night makeup.. Mind blowing but those who charge cheaper can do a decent job as well. Most impt is to get a trial makeup to see if it suits you. You sign up with your BS right, ranval? Now my problem solved & going to check out the mua's trial makeup before my AD.
  9. Wow your place looks good! The colours are kinda solid, has that kinda chic utlilitarian look. Your living area is longish, what are you going to put on the far end of the living room?
  10. Ya they do provide but as I took only the basic package with them only so its different
  11. YES photographer got to book early. It depends on which days are the hot days for getting married though.
  12. MUA is short form for Makeup Artist. AD ah, I pm you
  13. Your service balcony light looks very special. Wonder if any bird will fly in and make that its own nesting in there. Btw how much did that partitioned glass cost you?
  14. The toilet colour scheme is still the same~ as we never change the toilet tiles. We left it as it is by HDB. Only the common toilet tiles was changed & retiled by HDB due to hollow tiles. My blog was put up long time ago hehehe just that not much pics in there now since had to take down some pics as my hubby request for privacy sake. In the beginning, I thought the green colour in the kitchen was a bit ugly but after carpentry & the basic things like fridge & washing machine is up, its not so bad as white colour offset the green better. For glass table, it depends on your budget. Some tables are like 1.5k depending on the material & whether it is big enough to seat like 4-6pax or extendable?
  15. Yo ranval, haven't seen you around here for a while. You got plenty of time to prepare for your AD next year unlike me. Im practically tearing my hair out looking for a MUA urgently for my upcoming AD due to sudden last min plan.
  16. I think his name is jimmy? Not too sure as I didn't catch his name totally since we didn't chat much. There are like 2 or 3 make up artists at venus if Im not mistaken. One of them is a guy who was my MUA for PS.
  17. Hello Fifteenmay, Long time no see u around in RT. Any idea whats Liren's charges for day or day & night? I dropped her a sms the other day & she haven't replied to me though. Did you choose your gowns from Venus yet? I was at Venus to choose my gowns for my AD 2 weeks ago.
  18. True, it is very tiring to clean big places esp glass
  19. Yup that was the first reaction when my hubby and i went to view a show flat with the same layout as my place in the same block. (Note: my place is like 5-6 yrs old only, a first hand) We were like .. "so small".. with all those furnishings done up 'cos of the living room layout that was done up. Now, It doesn't feel so small after having moved in since we never do built in carpentry. The newer 90sqm units are a bit small with the bedrooms IMHO which is a bit sad.
  20. TYM answered for me already. Nowdays alot of abbreviations or short forms. Must catch up le, CPE. Anyone can share their experience with their own MUAs?
  21. As per topic above. Can share who are your MUAs and are they good?
  22. Your daughter is very cute with those eyes! Pinkpetter: Painting takes alot of time & patience but it is less time consuming to paint just 1 room actually compared to painting the whole hse. I did the painting with my hubby for my current place in less than a week, super rushed also cos we had to move out of the previous place last time. Not to mention that we were having furniture coming in on our official shift day, so we'd only did the painting for the important areas first. The other spare rooms haven't paint yet since not really in a hurry to paint them.
  23. Relax relax okie. Think of it for long term commitment since you and your hubby going to stay there for sometime or for a lifetime. Either way, you will be glad to have the problems rectified & it will be easier on your pocket in the long run.
  24. What an unique layout. Your block must be one of those older block of flats. I personally feel that the older block layout are better than the newer generation block's I can't wait to see how your place will look like after the renovations!
