  1. Marshmallow: Yes this is the recipe. Her cheesecake photo was posted in the animal party thread started by preciousjam about 2 years ago. Not sure if it is still around in RT. You might want to do a search for it. For cream cheese, I use a electric mixer. But for better results, its best to beat the cream cheese when its at its room temperature. If the cream cheese has been taken out from the fridge, you have to leave the cream cheese in the open for 4 hours to let it return to room temperature. Its also easier to beat the cheese till creamy. For digestive biscuits, food processor or blender that has a blade attachment to crush or mince food ingredients. Back then when I baked this cheesecake, I used to pound the biscuits sealed in a ziplock bag inside a pestle mortar, then crush the biscuits finely.
  2. Froggy: Thank you, but its not mango. It's peach decorated actually. Your cake looks very good! What cake is it and how did you do the chocolate around the edges?
  3. Marshmallow: Actually the recipe can be found in Rondy's blog, between pages 20-24 since I remember that I took alot of time to look back through rondy's blog for that recipe. Yes I still have her recipe. Can pm me your email add if you want? May: Thank you, Newnyew's cheesecake is the original! In fact it was her rose design that I tried to do copy.
  4. Mae: You don't look your age. I don't see any sign of wrinkles too, you keep yourself in good shape!
  5. I never saw canned mangoes at all. What you do is, use mango puree for mousse, use a few, not too many mango cubes/slices to decorate the top. unless you want to aim for something like one of my cheesecakes? Rondy probably should remember it. hehe. Ah I found the pics. See Post #236 at http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...mp;#entry442129
  6. No music - I seldom listen to music one. Hmm even for school work as well? Books take up too much storage, plus waste money buying. Might as well read for free.
  7. Well I mean is 1. Read mangas ONLINE - Die die must have mangas to read 2. Surf the net 3. Doing projects/work related stuff on it. HOW?
  8. Use mango puree if no mangoes available. =x You can try mango mousse cheesecake?
  9. For me, its more for reading mangas and i don't know if its worth doing work on it also?
  10. Say what you think about the capacity for 16GB? I know 32 and 64GB are better to get but a few did tell me that 16GB is good enough esp if have external disk drive to save all your files to instead of the ipad?
  11. Yes there is a online spree for it but got to check if the spree is still on if you want to get anything else?
  12. LOL, ya cheaper but I don't go HK often as marshmallow does compared with malaysia. Ya the malaysian address not a problem, cos got someone to help me out with this
  13. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this part. I believe the 30Amp applies to the voltage required for each electrical appliance so it has no relevance to the electricity usage. As long as ALL electrical appliance have between 10-30amp and not above 30amp, how you use the electrical appliances together is not really a problem since I can use both the oven, cooker hob, airport and the heater on at the same time at my place.
  14. Is it? How much did you pay for your iPad, may? I want to get also. It's slightly cheaper in malaysia though but need to order on apple store malaysia and have it delivered to a malaysia address Now SG put a tax fee on designer bags, electronic stuff, jewellery coming in through customs.
  15. Or you can join a spree with other people ordering from cakediy.com - also from HK. I bought my Hello Kitty mould through one such spree. Lychee champagne nice or not, marshmallow?
  16. The small bits from the biscuit base slathered on due to the woobly jelly during cutting of the cake It should be fine, just need to add more gelatin to the mix.
  17. Taste wise, not bad. is a little sweet though due to the lychee syrup used to make the jelly. I think the jelly part can be omitted though
  18. Happy Chinese New Year! Sorry, I had been busy due to CNY to upload the picture of the sliced lychee cheesecake which I mentioned in my prev posts. You can see the wobbly jelly bits - not nice and very messy to cut.
  19. Dizyweds, You're welcome! Actually, I posted a thread on the furniture shop and curtain shop before, you may refer to this thread http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...c=30602&hl= The people at the furniture shop and curtain shop in this thread are friendly and will go far in suggesting recommended models to suit budget. As they were recommended thru' my relative, I didn't have a problem with them. After 2-3 years staying in my current place, I feel that the furniture are worth what you buy as my current furniture are still standing. In fact, some of the furniture pieces are quite heavy to move about so there's very little moving and shifting movement in the house. Therefore, you can be sure how the furniture quality is like. But to put a note here, different people have different experience. So other people's views may differ from mine in this case. I did mention before in the forum that some shops do waive certain fees if you buy alot of furniture from them. Some furniture shops do provide free delivery. But no matter what the gimmick is, be sure to ask the terms and conditions of the warranty and whether transportation/gst charges for a new replacement is included. It can be a hassle to coordinate the delivery and etc but you need to examine carefully the furniture because I already mention in my earlier post, the delivery guys will ask you to sign an invoice to confirm that the furniture are received in good condition. The point is, check all furniture for any defects before signing any invoice. Plus you need to ensure warranty, t&c is covered in your purchase copy and the shop's copy.
  20. To add on this, sorry to hijack a bit. Normally, for furniture delivery, the delivery guys will ask you to sign an invoice that you have received the goods in good condition. But if you find some of the furniture in not good condition, you do not sign that invoice first. Just call the furniture shop on the spot when you find the defect to tell them and make sure the delivery guys are still around while you're on the phone. When you have settled the issue with the furniture shop over the phone, you can tell the delivery guys of the situation and ask them to write down what needs to be replaced on your own copy of the invoice as well as theirs. The next step is just as what dizyweds say, take pictures to verify your issue. Now, sometimes furniture passing thru customs checking might be subject to scratching, I had a few minor scratches that is not very noticeable on 1 or 2 furnitures from JB but that is acceptable. For warranty issue, better to confirm the warranty provided by the shop and ensure it is listed in the sales/purchase invoice for customer and shop copy.
  21. Wow, nice and perhaps I should adopt your idea of chaise lounge for the living room the next time I move house. hehee. The flower motift set, my parents have it and they are quite lasting. These are probably rare now cos I doubt you can find them anywhere else in sg unless there are other places I've never looked in yet.
  22. I think their lift is the small squeezy type? It would have to be the lift size than the mattress size for some blocks.
  23. I love your white bedframe. How much you pay for it? First time I see 2 sofa chaise lounge in the living room, looks very inviting to snooze infront of the tv
  24. Correction: It's not for wok frying but for stir-frying in a flat pan. =x Wok frying I ask my hubby to fry better if need to use the wok. Using a frying spatula isn't one of my handy hand talents either .
  25. Ya lor, I also jealous you can still wear size XS. I can gain weight easily if not careful - metabollism is not the same as before
