Wah, you serious can go out dressed in wholly pink head to toe? I don't wear alot of pinks, just that i tend to wear dark colours more as I have few pastel colours in my wardrobe, guess im considered a bit of 'emo-gothic feel' type? Hmm are you born in the year of the pig btw?

kekeke so cute leh, but better be careful and don't move in any costly stuff in there yet till reno complete~

I like the colour pink too. Goes well with white too. Hints of feminine touches & cosy feel in your 3D drafts of your kitchen.
-
You both reached a compromise so its not that bad.

Its not that they do not want new business. As per mentioned before in this thread, patrick is very busy and may not have the time to answer his phone or check his email. So it is better to get his office number and call mrs quek to help assist as mrs quek helps with his work affairs. Do take note. -
Oh dear, you better tell the contractor upfront that you know that this type of wood is not used for kitchen if the material is not good. Just arm yourself with facts on what kitchen materials should be leh.

Just to give you an idea of whether a chandelier is bright enough? It depends in which type of light you're using? white or yellow light? white light is already bright enough, somemore with multiple light bulbs on one pendant. So you can imagine the effect will be brighter. But as there are frosted shades to cover the bulbs, the effect will not be that bright, just sufficient for visibility. Yellow light is dimmer and gives a "romantic" feel esp for a cosy ambience. Simply cos yellow light is suited for some parts of the house that don't need to be too bright & give a soft, warm ambience.

No. JW area, at st 25. First base of coat, your red colour is not bright in the daytime as the colour tone indicates. It is a bold statement, eye-catching to any visitor. After the 2nd paint, I think the colour will be moderately med light-dark tone in the day time if not much sunlight coming in, think so leh It will be much brighter at night ba with all those lights installed on the arc including chandelier.

where's your floor plan btw?

Better check properly on your kitchen to see if plywood or not. Btw, your laminate don't look too bad. You might want to have a nicer countertop or solid surface to give it a different look. But if you really want to change, its better to do now then wait for full carpentry to be up. Counter top are those that have curved edges you see. those reminiscent of the 80s-90s styled kitchen I think. My MIL have this also. While Solid surface comes with corner edges.

It would be difficult to do an open concept kitchen as the HHS is beside the kitchen. There's a small wall that partially juts out at the point where the HHS is and so planning for an open kitchen layout is also very tricky given that my kitchen is 1 long slim rectangular area, not a fat square. But then I can't cook but just starting to bake. Finding that baking is fun I guess so probably not good if an open concept is not for cooking? Do post more pics of your reno process.

Wah... im totally bowled over your red arc. a little retro & futuristic. Btw im also in the west side but not at your area though

Can't say about them cos never engage them before but my next door neighbour's unit and another one on the other side on same floor also done by them. Seems their workmanship is not bad, even peeped at my next door neighbour's reno. Their tiling works are quite fast too judging on the progress esp the tiling of kerb at main door. Even I was surprised to see the tiling already done. -
if you considering full height types, those types will require 2-3 mirror parts to join 1 big mirror 'cos it will be hard to carry a very big piece of mirror up to your place esp if you stay high floor. Other than that, not sure if ok with having 1 piece of mirror for dining area in terms of FS

Daiso have leh, Saw before at IMM, you got to look through the knick knacks there 'cos alot of people browse, then anyhow put here and there. Alternatively, can try bugis. One of those push carts got sell I think.

Very nice also. From your floorplanner drawing, it appears that you'd going to remove bedroom3 to make space for a proper dining area & open concept kitchen which is why the living & dining area will look big upon entering the place. Only one room left for you as study room right? I like the open concept kitchen too, pity mine not able to go for an open concept kitchen due to the kitchen entrance actually. My kitchen entrance is like the width 2 doors facing the passageway but next to it is the HHS so cannot la. Lucky you

Heh at least your ID is rectifying it ma, he will make it swee swee for you, I believe that you have less reno headaches compared to some who have more problems even if Kajua is one lucky person to avoid any reno blues. Heh but remember to knock on the tiles to be sure no hollow sound after its tiled up. Btw Vhive got L-Shape table, I saw a L-Shape glass table which is slim in width compared to the width of the L-Shape wood table, at IMM. I currently have a small table from V-hive in Cherry colour bought from the one at IMM, quite solid also.

Hey greycat!!!!!!!! Er, i didn't use heavy cream. I was trying out the royal icing but it failed. Doesn't even form stiff peaks. So i switched to buttercream. Buttercream is better as it form a thick paste but not stiff enough to do piping. It basically consist of coca powder, a bit of icing sugar & butter but no cream.

Got to see whats your budget first. There are a few recommendation in here i believe. One of them is ColoursofTheWall which is only opened on weekends. Otherwise, if you happen to travel to BKK, you can grab some paintings off there, some are nice and cheap. I bought my painting from IMM there which I consider it to be of reasonable pricing compared to what one would spend over 1k and above for 'art designer' painting I suppose?

Glad to see you back in RT, apple!

Very cute the decals! It's the baa baa one from winkplay right? If add "Zzzzz" big, that would be more or less perfect. I also have a wacky thought. You know the serta sheeps that are numbered right? If you number those sheeps randomly that would be an ode to the serta sheeps

Just remember that if some of the things are beyond your budget, just cut to the minimum since you can do up your place slowly. You got time on your side, so no rush to do everything together also. As long as those that have more piority like the kitchen or whatever needs to be done or fixed, Just do the major works first. the least minor works can be done slowly. This means you can save more money for the rest that can be done slowly & you won't exceed your budget for the major works instead. -
Hmm or maybe can consider a wall mounted side table instead. If you need storage, you might want to consider maybe 2 planks to form shelves on the wall at your bedside so that can have some storage underneath too. It wouldn't be heavy seriously since it will look less cluttered than on the floor as per skywolf's suggestion
