wow PRADA~~~

No wonder. keke Can, no prob for the painting part. Get a paint catalog of your preferred brand, Nippon or ICI, - Decide which colour you have in mind before getting the cans of paints, to go with your choice of theme. - Remember to get Glossy paint for doors/gate only. - 2 Roller brush paint boxes - 2 roller brushes, 2 paint brushes, 1 art paint brush with small brush head for touch up in small places. For roller brushes, just get refill packs for the roller head. Don't need to buy another roller brush too. - Newspapers/protection sheet for flooring - Masking tape for covering switches/around door frames before painting - Gloves to be worn if painting gate/doors with glossy paint as glossy paint is oil based compared to other paints for walls which is water based. Its very sticky and will take some effort to clean off. Im having this trouble now 'cos im currently painting the doors. Regret big time not to get gloves! - Scrapper for scrapping away small lumps on the wall if necessary, to ensure wall is smoothened down before you can paint. - Putty to fill in any existing hole, this will come in handy esp if you need to paint a wall & cannot stand seeing holes in the wall. So apply putty to the wall first as per instruction on putty label before you proceed to paint. - Damp cloth to be around in case paint spillage onto other surface which you can clean up immediately before it sets. - Tupertine/kerosene for washing off paint esp glossy paint. - Cap or something to cover your head, keke you don't want paint streaks in your hair also. Lastly, remember to have at least a few sets of OLD clothes you will not use again in future with the intention to throw away, since those few sets will be for you and your FH to wear during painting. Painting works might take you over 2 weeks to do depending on your floor area. which is why you need to have at least a few set of old clothes, not just 1 set. Since you're doing the painting yourself, just paint the ceiling first as the ceiling is more important since you do not want the paint from the ceiling to fall on the painted walls & the floors. Its also easier to get the lights installed straightaway after completing the painting of the ceiling. For uneven walls, you will need to paint more on uneven walls since no plastering done to even the wall surface. Just apply 1 coat of paint over the uneven wall 1st time, then apply a thicker coat of paint 2nd time. You'd might not really see the paint patches here and there if the area is a little dark for you to check for paint patches in the day time, so be sure to have the light on to check for any paint patches that are not even with the rest of the painted wall. If any paint patches, just apply another layer of paint again before you are satisfied that the paint is properly done on the walls. Hope this helps!

Wah all so romantic. Agree that not proposing does not mean the guy does not love her or that if propose to her will mean he will love her forever. Its kinda pragmatic but a little contradicting since once the vows are taken, it should be bound by honour & love for each other for a lifetime ba. Nonetheless, women have a long memory for the little details so guys should not forget to give their women their once in a lifetime memory. Proposal is just a formality but what happens is better than the formality.

im curious how does dog biz affect marble flooring btw?

Hmm next time go BKK, i go try the spas there. keke
-
Wow, sounds like you guys pampered yourselves really good there. Service good or not?

No prob. Counter top comes in different materials. Granite, silestone and etc. Be sure to ask about the pros & cons for the materials used for the counter top as it depends on how often you use the kitchen. There's a topic on this in RT which you can search & refer to it for your reference. Starscream, that is ex leh, that time my MIL's lobang quote us 4k+ just for top, bottom cabinets + box up of pipes & a tall cabinet as well. Try getting more quotes to see if the range is about there for what you were quoted. This will give you a better idea of what to expect.

Nice~~~~~ How much is the ikea table btw????? Maybe I get that also. *notti*

How come 10 pairs of chopsticks btw? Greycat, no worries about the cupcake recipe, got one more recipe which is the choc brownie cupcake. Am going to try baking a cake properly real soon. Just went shopping at Poon Huat this evening. If it works out well, I share the recipe with you. Ya a fruitful trip though a bit tiring. Diva, yah! Noodles in BKK cost like 30 baht!
-
wow, how much you paid for it? Thai body massage =250-300 baht for 1 hour foot massage =250 baht for 1 hour From what I noticed, its the standard price at most massage places except those high end ones with spas.
-
I see That time I got leg cramps, I went for thai foot massage. It was a peliculiar feeling at the same time 'cos its my first time going for thai foot massage

Hello! White with faint green as design is a bit of a challenge. My kitchen tiles are all seagreen... Original colour is supposed to be light greyish blue tile but end up HDB ran out of stock for the colour. So I didn't quite like the colour then when we first got our keys to our place But we reckoned since white is a 'universal' colour just like black colour, easy to match with just anything. So we got white kitchen cabinets with black solid surface. Even fridge & washing machine are in white colour too. Now the green colour is not that glaring 'cos of the white combi. So you can consider using a neutral colour like white to blend in, for bold colours, have to see what your tile really looks like. Can show pics of the tiles? -
Nice colour for vintage yellow. Match that with near transcluent white curtains to go with the 'feel'
-
lai lai, got lelong for the 2 doggies in question, courtesy of skywolf !! *me runs away*
-
Got leg cramp or not? Funny also cos that time we were there, no need to go toilet also despite drinking lots

For psf, just check with any kitchen contractor or the ID what is the price per foot/feet then you see how big is your kitchen layout as in feet. That is how kitchen contractor works it out by the feet of your kitchen cabinet vs the price they charge. Only thing is the way they do the measurement differs & varies depending on your kitchen layout for eg; L-Shape, Straight line or U-Shape? Then there is the cost for Solid Surface or Normal Kitchen counter top that is not part of the cabinet cost. Need to pay slightly more for the type of material for the kitchen top. As for roller blinds, I can't give any advice for the pricing in sg here as I got my curtains from JB but there is a thread on curtains in RT.

Kekeke then can go night market & sell the excess? or maybe can barter with an exchange of goods like that? lol
-
Kekeke, BKK is really cheap with all the buys, only thing is that some material for clothing is not strong due to stitching so got to scrutinise first before buying. I kena one time on my first time to BKK & had to return back to the shop for an exchange. Luckily I got an exchange.

I saw the Asia hotel when Mr Bun point it out for me from the BTS train I was on when I was in BKK. Its all reflective window like some commercial buildings use to reflect light.. i think?
-
Better to book early for hotel if hotel have promo/discount for that period. Other than LeFenix, my view is that you guys should look at the reviews on other hotels by other travellers if you have the time to google for them. It will give you a rough idea of which hotel is good is based on reviews. But one thing to note le, I wouldn't stay at Asia hotel for one thing after hearing from Mr Bun that he read some stories by travellers online that its haunted.

but no worries la, means you both are good with saving money like this when it comes to recycling.
-
Now I see your blog, Im prob the last to spam chop here. Your place seems to be in good condition before reno. Like the white floor tiles.. are you retaining the original tiles for the living & bedroom since I see only toilet tiles you choose.
-
Hehe it sounds like your hubby is a closet hoarder. - Hoarder is a term to define people who are closet junkies stashing away items sometimes to recycle all over again & to keep those that have no value but left only to lie in cow-webs in closets
