But maybe you should ask for a quote before you tell them, its gonna be install in a landed property. Just my thoughts, maybe they feel you rich so wanna "chop" you.

if urs is new flat, can ask HDB screed for you. Its free. But then presentable or not is another issue. Dunno if its what you want. You might wanna check it out. Maybe can save some money?

I also water my hubby also fire.. people always "shui huo bu rong" ... But end up we still get married. True.. I am those don't really believe in fs.. but those very basic things, I will still look out for.. Like avoid placing the bed facing the door or the toilet door. Which is why I knock down the wall of the bedroom which is link to my MBR in order for my hubby and me to sleep there. (=_=").. But my in-laws always ask my hubby go see a "sifu" then ask them where to place this and that.. in the house all these.. I'm not very happy abt it also. Cause i feel, if don't ask, then no problem, if ask liao, don't follow afraid is bad for us. Then if follow if the design doesnt fit mine. I also very unhappy. So very angry when they always wanna go ask the "sifu" this and that! Always tell my hubby, wanna go ask, you all go yourself, don't ask me along. I dont like such things. But very basic fengshui I will still follow. Only won't go into very detailed stuffs.

Actually for timber flooring, not all will haf the chance of having termite infeastation. I will be having timber flooring for my new home. And the type I am using will not have any termite infestation problem. Try asking for iron wood. Those really hard 1. Even when using hammer, u cant nail something down unless you use an electric drill..

Oh lucky for us, as we decide to meet on the day itself. So he didnt forgot our appointment. And when he was at my place, my neighbour saw him and told me Eric was his electrican also! It can be done. They will 1st fixed something at the area where u wanna haf ur ceiling fan. Its a board or what. I am not sure. Ask contractors and those ppl selling fans. Thats what they told me. I having this problem also. But my main concern is not the support. Support shouldn't be a problem I guess since a lot of ppl has done it. Its more of the height issue. My hubby is about 183 and my contractor says the ceiling fan might be too low. So haf to wait for my false ceiling to be up.. flooring done then we decide wanna fixed a ceiling fan or not..

He fax me a quote using his company letter head and I issue chq to the company name also. But he seems busy too.. His hp rings non stop. Ya and his is progressive payment. so not so scare also.

If you like the feel, you can try timber flooring. Ask for iron wood. For sure, it wun warp. And if you scratch it after a few years, you can always ask them to "so-call" polish the flooring.

Hi... I have engaged Eric to do my electrical works. I have counted. Total I have abt 34 New lighting points. The rest are existing. and generally a lot of shifting here and there. New switch point, new socket points. He give me a lump cos we told him its ok to give us a lump as long as price is cheap! Really like his service, he listens to ur needs and design attentively and offer alternative suggestions to hide the trunkings in places where he think can hide. Unlike the previous electrician, never listen to what my hubby says and everything ok ok! Then quote us 3k the next day with all the points wrong and such! And still got the cheek to ask for 50% downpayment. My electrical works starts today and will the wirings and points will be done by monday. Payment scheme also very gd. 30% 30% 40%. If you haben found 1 electrician, maybe you would like to try Eric as the others forummers always recommend!

My EA also 131sqm. Currently waiting for another Electrician's quote. The 1st electrician quote me 3k. I wasnt happy cos no rewiring done. I feel its not really worth it. I got abt 40-50 lighting points. Will update here when I get the quote with the Electrician I met today.
