  3. For me, my ID's electrician charged me $95 per relocation of SCV point.
  4. No it means that Blk26D has cable point ready for use.
  5. Wats left now is a suitable carpet.. Any ideas of wat kind of carpet or do u not intend to get any?
  6. I think this unit is opposite Tiong Bahru Plaza one.. Tats why the selling prices looks so impressive! My fren also stays there and he got his unit the same price as my unit but his was the relocation scheme.
  7. Hey YG.. Nice place u got there! Remember to invite me if there's an open house yeeehh? Heeee
  8. Firstly to @makemefly and @binzz, congrats on the completion. Got any open house? Can I come? @h4happy, @yang guo and @nemofc, Yah thanks for the show of encouragement. Seriously I was quite frustated before. The reason is simple. My ID was confident at the point of contract signing he will complete EVERYTHING and handover by end'07 or latest 1st week of Jan as per their time frame of 6 weeks. So ok lor, we went to search for furnitures, electrical appliances and made a delivery date at Jan 5. End of Dec came, not much done up, asked for explainations. He gave reasons of holiday period, lack of workers. When he said tat to find workers willing to do the job must top-up cash. I was like "wtf" sia. In my heart, "Its your problem lor, u supposed to tell ur contractor to do up lor with ur own $$ resources. In the end, he told us (me and my fiancee) tat he'll do up by Jan 15. We then called up the several deliveries to postpone to Jan 16th where I took leave liao, to clean up the home and all. Yesterday was Jan 10. I know carpentry installation will take abt 7 days. And these contractors dun work on a Sunday. How the **** are they gonna complete and hand-over by Jan 15? My fiancee called him and asked him wats going on here. Yada yada carpentry not ready yet, will come around Jan 16 to install. Will be done by end of tat week. So much for applying leave on the 16th and cancelled it. Now feeling so paiseh to call other deliveries to push back the date. This time, I'll push back till end of the month just to be sure of any "unexpected" delays. So much for a promised 6 weeks completion from my ID. After getting adv from u guys, gave him time to do up a proper one. And thanks to my friendly neighbours, I calmed down and feel blessed that our decision to stay in Jln Membina is a good one. Thanks all for hearing me out...!
  9. Ok guys thanks for the kind responses. I'll just grit my teeth and be patient. With this I wanna extend my apologies to all who intend to come over my place for a view this weekend. The place is kinda bare without carpentry. I guess if as promised by my ID, next weekend will be a good time to drop by and have a look ok. So sorry neighbours! @makemefly No.. there's no stipulated time frame in the contract stated specifically. I just want my home to be ready by the last week of Jan.
  10. Hey I am back and I am getting frustrated. Its been almost 2 weeks since my ID promised at the point of contract signing (6th Nov'07) that they will complete the renovations by the new year. My fiancee just got a call from him that the carpentry works will only be installed on next Wed, which is Jan 16th. Up till today, works has been very slow and it is agitating me. We have been pushing our furniture deliveries from start of the year, to next mid-week. Looks like now we have to push it back further. I'd like to ask, which is the best option now? 1- Ask for some compensation or discount. 2- Push him to hasten the works. 3- Or be patient and wait till works are done. I'm at the loss here. Anyone can offer me a good solution?
  11. Wow very nice features!! Nice whites in ur home!! If u are having open house, may I come??? -shameless freak- LoL
  12. Can no problem. Curtains attract dust easily especially form the shelter if u open frequently. If your household have no pets such as cats and dogs are fine. Some people have sensitive nose (like me! Hahaha) Curtains close will act as cover rite? I assume the handle of the door cannot be seen. If there's kids running around may hit the hidden handle and cause injury, unless ur curtains are thick kind. Must get a couple of curtains, unless the one u can wash instantly and then hang. Hehehe.. As far as I can see u doing up till the door so its cool. For those lleaving it as it is, there'll be unused space on the wall. Like kinda wasted Its just our opinions when we trash-out the pros and cons. The pros however u can have different curtains different occasion so it wont be dull one colour all the time. Another reason, its a cool concept instead of a wall feature. Cost saving also. Well, its up to you guys to decide.. Hehe
  13. I dunno abt that tho Zlia.. is your unit the one which kitchen window faces the floor's rubbish chute? if it is, i think the aircon people can slide the compressor over to the ledge using a plank. i think i saw some people did tat, but its on 3rd floor lor. I dunno if high floors the aircon guys wanna risk doing it. For a desirable measure, I think u should bring the aircon guy over to your place to look-look-see-see-measure-here-and-there before committing to any kind of unit/brand. Saves u a lot of trouble.
  14. Allo Kenn?? Where are u???? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
  15. My initial thoughts of doing it the same too.. But there are cons to it. As we are pretty much "bochup" couple, we think think.. we in the end made a sliding door with the remaining parts mirrored.
  16. My bomb shelter costs me $2.4k Its made of full length mirrors and sliding door. No shelves. Not done yet tho.
  17. WoW! Nice kitchen!! I kinda like the pull out table. Does it compromise the space in the kitchen? Anyway the top cabinets, izzit glossy laminate or u put white glass? Brilliant colours..
  18. Hey Happy.. dun worry dude.. will invite u guys one.. Anyways, somehow or rather, my ID is facing the problem of insufficient workers. my handover is delayed till mid jan. so the carpenter came by yesterday to do up measurements for all the carpentry Sigh.. another long wait..
  19. Hmmm.. i keep wondering, how to wire the tv to the players at the tv wall feature console. keep wondering as i'll be having a wall feature too Anyway ur glass wall feature is co0o0o0o0oL
  20. Wo00o0o0o0o0o0ooT nice!! Glossy eh?? Then tat long standing thing.. is ur shoe cabinet?
  21. Thanks man. To me, green is soothing. I love greenery around me.. But not the NS army kind hor! LoL If not mistaken its WILLOW GREEN. http://www.nipponpaint.com.sg/downloads/V5000LOr3.pdf My ID recommended pure black. Me and my fiancee rejected it straight coz we dun wanna black in the living room. So we decided to go with Galaxy colour.. a lighter shade of black, a darker shade of grey! Hehehe Yeah I wanna see it too! But my false ceiling haven't cut out for the lights
  22. Apologies for the hiatus. Holiday season looming, many colleagues on leave so cover their a$$es for them at work. Anyways some updates; House is starting to look nice. But first coat of paint.. 2nd coat will be applied once carpentry are up. Pls come in The Living Room from the foyer; The Living Room from the full panel windows; My Greenroom, a place where I relax and unwind; Anyways I love my ID's workmanship. Really great and class, My tiles workmanship; Nicely placed skirting in my Yellow MBR; White homogeneous tiles with wavy grey and a tinge of brown;
  23. Your tap looks exactly like mine! How much does it cost there?
