  1. Mr Mace...cant find your t-blog...wanna ask u...how to use the 3M stainless steel cleaner??? sorry to tag onto this page..cos i cant locate u..hehe..thanks thanks
  2. only 5 years old...still new lah...can use for another 10 years then u consider to change. to have dust free, maybe u consider to do new laminate loh... it is super super dusty...from wall to ceiling..to window grill to all skirting...u got to clean whole house...but the renovation contractor will not do for you....
  3. i do two toilets (overlay tiles, change toilet bowl and basin, new ss pipping) and plaster a bedroom. i even went away for 13days...also cannot finish..come back to a super dusty and dirty house. unless you can cordoned off the kitchen and living..from floor to ceiling with thick plastic sheet...maybe still possible to live inside..
  4. hi everyone, thanks for the help. I bought my stuff from choo chiang, really cheap.
  5. hi, anyone bought switches ans socket lately? hows the pricing? at where. Though of going tomolo (sunday) to choo chiang at AMK to get them. All seems to close early on sat....and close at 6pm on weekday.
  6. Hi everyone, need advise. I am painting my MDR. My bedframe is fabric-wrapped, and the fabric is purple, not the darkest purple but rich enuff. What would be the suitable color for the walls I am using white and yellow lighting. My day and night curtain is white (flower print) and maroon.
  7. actually tiles do pop up suddenly especially for old flat. My MIL flat is 18 years and suddenly the tiles pop..one straight line across the hall. I think apple jie tiles also pop suddenly over night if u read her reno blog. My house is now 20 years and hubby find that the room door cant close smoothly recently. He notice the tiles are no longer even. We also notice it around the whole house that tiles are not as even as compare to 8 years ago when we shift in. But for new house, i dun think it is a prob lah until 15 years later. maybe by then, owners would have shifted.
  8. if there are things they did on their own discretion without seek permission from you, and you dun wan to pay for it, tell them to fix it back to the original state loh. For example, they vanish the wardrobe without telling you, then, tell them to stripe it off and return it to them.
  9. my family clan got our sofa from St Louis at Imm. So far, after shopping many furniture shops, i still like the quality of their sofa. No prob with delivery too. We got 3 sets for 3 family members. Personnally i get negative if a salesperson keep giving discount and cutting prices after hourly long bargaining. If the product is good, unique, y the low prices? i also got my bed frame and mattress from them and delivery would be May. Hopefully all went well. Those interested to see my sofa can pm me and i will take pics.
  10. my new king size bed is purchased from a shop called St Louis and it smack on the floor. The 12" mattress has a latex on top. The mattress sit inside the bed frame. The frame is made of timber or solid wood and wrapped with scratch resistant fabric. No more cleaning the gap for me. my sofa is also from this company and my family loves is when they come over. So now my parents and bro also has the same sofa in their house. So far, no prob, good quality with high back rest. will take photo when bed arrive in May.
  11. oh...my reno will begin 18th to 29th. Aircon installation 30th apr..relative dinner wedding also 30th apr. maybe not as bad as 7th month ba. pray pray pray.
  12. hi all, need advice. What the diff for laying toilet tiles in horizontal manner or vertical manner? Horizontal will make toilet look smaller or shorter? mine is 30 x 45cm.
  13. wow i 1st time hear this, i din know it is no good. i have been hanging my mirror facing my toilet door for the past 8 years and will continue doing so. I find it nothing bad leh..i even find it convenient to look at myself in the mirror without stepping into the wet toilet tiles...
  14. many pple selling 2nd hand in yahoo auction, not yet why. if so good, why pple sell? Same for the roomba..and osim mermaid..many are selling
  15. hi ebione, jus to say thanks for this blog i get to know what is Eubiq which is really cool and will do that for future projects. thanks, ahjane Something to add. I am now using a divan bed set queen size and there is a 3inch gap between floor and divan. Having cleaning it for the past 9 years, i had enuff and will be changing to a bedframe with no gap at all. It is really very dirty and dusty when i clean it like once every 4 to 6 months. You can really see the thickness of the dust ball. The gap is not big enuff to vacumn entirely and yet big enuff for anything to seep in and remains there. Do consider if regular cleaning especially those gap below bed (with low legs) and sofa too.
  16. yah..i though they could finish by 5pm...i was wrong. They only wrap up at about 8pm..luckily i keep vacumning and sweeping those dust and bits of cement from all the drilling so as to minimise dust in the house. By the time they almost done, i am already mopping the floor. Mine is not a new flat, but a flat i have been staying in. I bought Mit Starmes Non-inverter sys 3 $2139.90 (credit card instalment).
  17. Hi, Should be Royal Fanco. 135 Jalan Besar.
  18. Means you already have that strong tv console, so no issue, you can continue the fish tank. For those who haven buy any tv console, i dun think those nice glossy tv console with tempered glass can withstand the weight of a 29inch fish tank tv. Since starting fresh, can buy LCD liao..with slim tv console
  19. tv less than $1k, maybe 21inch flat? then buy a small slim tv console can liao.. dun get those fish tank size tv, cos you end up spend more on a tv console which can withstand a 100kg tv.
  20. wow very good ideal hor..no need to walk over to tv to change disc...jus access at sofa area.... the tv area look neat and cool too...i like this ideal. as for the wire...in LONG run..the cost should be balance lah...depreciate over 7 years? your sun shine on the wall of the window? if so, might not be too healthy for those console and players...
  21. my contractor quote $150 to $180pfr depend on quality of laminate, whether interiors are laminate finishing and types of door. Found it reasonable but i KIV this project so din ask further. My mum wardrobe (casement, swing door) made by the same contractor and she has used it for more than 10 years, still good.
  22. I prefer use credit card to make payment, at least can earn points mah.hehe Since u pay many stuff in cash, with only one loan to finance, guess it is easier to monitor the expenditure ba. Means got money then can buy, if you took housing loan, reno load and use credit card instalment, too many things t finance, might get out of hand. my place no sheng shiong, i dun like sheng shiong (not fresh) or shop and save (smelly). Skip Ntuc cos by the time i go, all good stuff snatch aunties and housewives in the am and pm. Buy my stuff at cold storage, using cold storage card which is link to HSBC, can earn points too. Fresher and better shopping environment. -> guilty guilty i mean my OA now can tahan 10 years if i jobless lah. if i buy EM, think will cost 150k more than my 4 room? means i pay double monthly payment.hmm.... buying an EM is a dream, cleaning it is a nightmare. It is already so tiring to clean this house.....cannot imagine i have to mop the stairs... shall think about it when the property market is cool and frozen..haha
