to save cost..u can do away with wall tiles..and jus cement screed or paint job. There is no need to change the tile hidden by the top and bottom cabinets anyway...no one will see them....also those behind the backsplash..no one see them too. Do bottom cabinets 1st....save up abit and do the top ones later.... Do away with expensive granite top and switch to cheap postform....more care need to maintain..no choice since u have financial budget....u would have to have bigger time and energy budget. still cant make it 5k...at least a few k is saved.

my fren did that...purchased the rational drawers and runner...and ask the carpenter to install it. Hence the measuremnt would follow the drawers width.. i also wan to do that to my kitchen, my contractor say ok. Of cos since my contractor did not supply the drawer, there is no guarantee it is a perfect fit cos the drawer can be not accurate in measurement.

ya..got to factor in cost of re-locating the storeroom light and switches which will be affect by the hacking.... unless u dun wan that lighting point anymore...and no affect of switches...then ok lah.. hacking the storeroom sure damage some of the flooring....patching up the flooring need cost too. unless u ok with no patching up... i hack away my storeroom in my kitchen reno...and built larder storage unit instead. dun wan to build another storeroom...jus built cabinet lah...same..

i brought from edison lighting before...nice experience lah. my light spoil within 1 week and they bring back to repair. after instal still spoil within 1 hour..came twice to repair..

mine contractor quote $350 for hacking fee only. excl haulage and watever cos i hacking kitchen floor also.. permit fee is FREE....he apply for me and din charge me for this service. If HDB think need engineer to come check....need P.E..and additional cost. so at this moment...$350...and any further..subject to HDB.

paid deposit...deliver in january...i can also change my mind to change the lighting design..before delivery, of cos.. i got my own ID guy to fix the light for me..if not u can pay for their electrician...or u DIY ba.

give them house rules. For example can only on fan or aircon after 8pm. They can stay in aircon shopping mall if they want. Daytime cannot on aircon even for weekend. Cannot on tv or play games whole day cos to much electricity consume. Tell them to clean up their own room-pass them the vacumn and mop pail. Of cos, u earn their money, u should clean a bit lah..like the kitchen...dun expect them to clean ur toilets right...but they susposed to clean their room mah.... Ask them to sun their clothes over the weekend, of cos u got to allow them to use the hanging poles lah...if not, how u expect them to wash and sun. If u dun allow them to sun their clothes...they can only air dry in the room..with a fan constantly blowing... for win win situation, work out laundry schedule if u wan to use it during weekend, they can use it during weekday since they are back at 5pm..plenty of time for washing. if they wash their clothes often, u might think they consume water. if u dun let them use washing machine...then they anyhow handwash...end up not clean, smell not nice....lose lose situation leh. 3 boys in a room, where got space for hanging their clothes...not healthy for them, if fall sick...spread to everyone... give and take lah..your cousin somemore....hygiene and cleaniess is important.

i have bidets in both toilets, good for washing toilets, wash legs when come home from outside...guest can wash their legs too. It is good to give the toilet a spray after use..incase mis-aim in the middle of the nite..hehe...for men lah..

mine quote me $350. I think they hack the whole tingy....and if u wan, rebuilt a new wall for you for additional cost. After all the hacking, the original structure maybe be shakey and not stable.....hence maybe advisable to hack the whole storeroom and built a new wall.

if the suction is bad, dun think it can protect any of the top cabinet. might as well do without the hood cos u gonna clean the top cabinets anyway. Either get a better hood....or no hood no top cabinet.

put charcoal? pandan leave?, air the cabinet once a while?

har..cannot have red in kitchen mah? i thot i saw in t-blogs that many use red and black kitchen cabinets wor.. as for sink and stove, it is more of a cooking and preparation procedure. moving prepared ingredient to stove area...water might drip drip on the floor. when two person in kitchen cooking...one wash one cook..if sink and stove face directly, in between might not have enuff space for 2 pax to move freely... when cooking, you need space around you and to see clearly if anyone behind u...unless u are the ONLY person cooking with no one to help. For example, after cooking, u wish to wash the hot pan...u got to turn around to ensure there is no one behind before you move the hot pan to the sink, if not might scald someone.

u mean small pc of stickers or very big pc of sticker. but might be uneven due to grouting..u will see all the lines..

think might as well save the $210 cos it aint gonna do much for you except consume electricity.

this is a good example that bad quality employees spoil and degrade the brand name that others work hard to build. I think the employees at the cus svc must be non-efficient, bad quality, total lack of initiative and thinking skills, or any other skills to make them suceed in whatever they do. Dun be mad at such loser in life....there are plenty. You should drive this point to the PR and marketing department that their sales and images had been badly affect by such lousy cus svc..who happen to be at the frontline. i am not their competitor and i dun sell goods

I thought they claimed themselves to be ex-police officers? did you incl that in your police report...if not..they could have violated the law by pretending to be a ex-law enforcement officer. This also create a bad impression for our singapore police force.

not really. my dinning hall light cost $800, long island lightings with swaroski crystal cost $500, kitchen light x 2 cost $220, MDR lighting 400, 2 toilets lighting 80. still haven finish other rooms and livin too..still thinking of design and style
