http://www.straitstimes.com/st/print/443132 A lawyer was charged on Wednesday with 31 counts of criminal breach of trust involving $1.4 million and forgery. Tan Tiong Hian alias Raymond Tan, 44, is accused of misappropriating sums of $13,169 to $181,501 from his firm T.H. Tan Raymond & Co's clients account by transferring the money to seven individuals and four organisations who were not clients of the firm. The alleged offences took place between June 2009 and November 2010. He also allegedly forged a letter purportedly issued by an official of the Insolvency and Public Trustee's Office sometime before March 14, 2009. ================ I use this lawyer before. Super screw up until we make a complain to Law Society.

buy a adaptor or change the washing machine tap (ur 2nd picture) will do. Bring both photo to the HW shop and ask the person there. They can advice you. It is quite a common problem. If I remember correctly, my spouse told me, the HW shop uncle say the screw type not good, suggest another type. As I'm not there to see the installation, I had no idea what the hack he is talking.

Best. Check with HDB Every HDB unit is different. That block can. Does not mean your block can. Regardless what you still need HDB approval.

Your understand is all wrong. The 2 % commission you pay. NOT all 2% belong to the agents. The Company Took some est 30-40%. The rest then goes to Agent. And agent will only collect this money, est 2 mth after you pay the commission. As for the 7%, if you don't pay. The agent has to pay for you. Eg. You pay $4000 commission and don't want to pay GST The company took 30% of $4000. $1200 Balance = $2800 As you didn't pay the GST, the agent has the pay for you - 7% of $4000 = $280 The agent only receive $2800-$280 = $2520 --> 2 -3 mths later You might say $2520 is alot. Let me ask you. CEA register no need money? Property guru membership no need money? All the time and effort , transportation. FREE? They no need to feed their family? They no need to pay CPF - medisave? Don't forget. They don't have annual leave. They don't have medical leave They sick, they see doctor. They cannot claim from the company. THEY don't have CPF contribution - 16% from employer Not all property agent earning BIG money.

http://www.iras.gov....e04.aspx?id=824 GST registered business must show GST-inclusive prices on all price displays (e.g. price tags, price lists, advertisements, publicity brochures, website). Prices that are quoted, whether written or verbal, must also be GST-inclusive. Failure to do so is an offence and offenders may be fined for up to $5000. It is important for the public to know upfront the final price of goods and services that they have to pay. The following illustration shows the acceptable and non-acceptable price display format: Price Display Format Acceptable? $107 Yes $107 (inclusive of GST) Yes $100 + No $100 + GST No $100 + 7% GST No $100 + $7 GST No $100 ($107 w/GST) No If two prices (i.e. both GST-inclusive and GST-exclusive price) are displayed, the GST-inclusive price must be prominently displayed. Quoting the following clauses but not the GST-inclusive prices is not acceptable: "Prices stated are subject to GST""Prices stated are exclusive of GST""Prices stated are before GST" Where a GST-registered business intends to give a discount equal to the GST amount to the consumer, it is incorrect to advertise that there is 'no GST' for the goods or services. Such advertising is misleading as there is a GST element in all the goods and services supplied by a GST-registered business. Exception An exception is made for businesses in the hotel and food & beverage (F & B) industries only. Due to the imposition of service charge, these businesses may have operational difficulties in displaying GST-inclusive prices. Therefore, they may display GST-exclusive prices for goods and services that are subject to service charge. However, a statement informing customers that prices displayed are subject to GST and service charge must be prominently shown.

Furniture retailler price tag has to include GST by law. They cannot display this price tag then then issue invoice add 7% GST. Even the price tag say exclude GST, also cannot. If they act blur , call IRAS If they say don't such thing. Ask them to read this http://stprdstaff.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/singapore/story/furniture-retailer-fined-displaying-taxless-prices In the first case of its kind, a firm was fined $4,000 for displaying prices that contravened the rules of the Goods and Services Tax (GST). A district court heard that Silver River Furniture advertised its products in The Straits Times early this year with prices that excluded GST. Officers from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (Iras) who visited its showrooms in Macpherson also found price displays that featured the footnote: 'All prices are exclusive of GST.' Prices of items featured on the firm's website also had a footnote saying that prices excluded delivery and GST. Company director Ang Thow Kok, 50, pleaded guilty to committing the offences in two press advertisements, and also at the showroom and on the website. http://www.iras.gov.sg/irasHome/page04.aspx?id=824 For GST-registered businesses GST registered business must show GST-inclusive prices on all price displays (e.g. price tags, price lists, advertisements, publicity brochures, website). Prices that are quoted, whether written or verbal, must also be GST-inclusive. Failure to do so is an offence and offenders may be fined for up to $5000.

Hdb Unit Tio Chong-Kong. Owner Want To Sue Hdb

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/flat-owner-takes-hdb-court-053803641--sector.html Flat owner takes HDB to court By Romesh Navaratnarajah: In a landmark move, the Housing and Development Board (HDB) has been taken to court after a flat owner filed a case against it for acquiring his flat due to alleged illegal subletting. Chew Teck Fatt, owner of the five-room unit in Bukit Batok, wants the right to be fully heard based on all the evidence gathered. But the HDB feels that the court does not have the power to review its decision and that it can compulsorily acquire a flat that has been illegally rented out. According to facts of the case, HDB acquired Chew's unit after its officers discovered from tenants that he did not actually live there. Chew denied the allegations, explaining that the third room is kept for his own use. He added that several appeals were made to HDB not to acquire his flat but they were denied and resulted in the court action. In its defence, the housing board said that tenant Zulkeple Husin signed a statement in March this year verifying it to be correct. This is disputed by Zulkeple, who felt the document he signed only attested to the fact that HDB officers visited the flat. At issue now is whether there must be continuous physical occupation of the property or whether Chew lost interest in the flat and illegally sublet the whole unit. Chew also questions how HDB arrived at its decision when it did not give him any opportunity to address the whole issue. He noted that the court action was a last resort, adding that he fully cooperated with HDB and hopes to see the case resolved. -

This kind of agreement is both party gentlemen agreement. HDB don't recongize. Law don't recognize. First , you need to find out the reason why they need to extend. If they are selling and buying. Most of the seller will face this issue. Second, are you ok with the seller. My seller ask for 1 mth extend initial then increase to 2 mths. Then at the 2nd appointment, they told us , they need 3 mths. Due to the flat they buying has some delay. If you are not hurry to shift, it will not impact you much. But if you had a dateline. U better make it clear to the seller. PUB .. tell them to cut theirs when they shift out. Don't apply

First Timer Seeking Help.. Hle, Grants..
therat replied to tulipz's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
I don't think HDB consider allowance. They are using basic salary. When you submit your salary, you use 2.5k payslip or 3k payslip? HLE is depend on the doc you had submitted. -
