Hdb Door Lamination

Hi all,

I just got my hdb flat, but the doors for all my 3 rooms look boring( those yellow plywood type). I thinking of changing it but it still can be use so i dont want to waste it. I am thinking of laminating it instead. Does anyone do this before? How much does it cost to laminate each door?

if dont like the design - can only change new ones - $200+ each.

if you dont like the colour/tone - can revarnish/repaint them around $50-$100 each.

thank you for yr reply. Lets say i decide to change all my 3 bedroom doors to new ones? Must i keep the original hdb doors and change them back when i sell my house? Which type of doors is good? E.g. Plywood or Nyatoh or........? U know any good place to buy doors? Thank you.

No need. if main door, must check if fire-rated door and this is lots of $$$$.

resale flat is normally as it is condition (as long as reno is legal and allow by HDB), unless illegal modification then have to revert back to the original state. And this can be made as a request between seller and buyer.

as long as got doors can liao(when selling).

the nyatoh ones are $200+ comes with varnish.

those cheapo dunno simi wood types - $100-$120, but you need to paint them.

if yours is a more than 20yrs old house - better get the doors from your main con. cos the doorframes 99% off alignment, doors needs some mod before can fix.
