Which Credit Card

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

Which credit card do you guys link your bills to?

I just got the everyday card.. but not sure should I use it to pay all my bills as the rebates seems very little?

anyone did a research on which card would be offering the best 'perks' to pay all the bills?

Best to pay bills in cash. With credit card, there will always be temptation to rollover, especially if you are "tight" in some months. Unless, you are those very discipline type, always settle all your card bills in full and on time every month, then perhaps can earn that rebates and whatever points.

No sure which CC has got the best perks thou.

Difficult to say which is the best. Each card partner with different retailer for some exclusive deal so sometimes it's best to mix. I use everyday card if I am in carrefour or watson, UOB if I am at gardian or shell. I use diff cards in diff situations.

if your bills come up to $300 a month, go for the UOB one card

but anything more or less no extra, so got to really calculate :P

Why for $300 u will go for UOB one card? Is it bcos of the $20 Crystal jade voucher?

$300 for 3 consecutive months..get $30 cash (i think so..cant remember)

however, eg if u fulfill 2 mths requirement of $300 already, your 3rd mth u short of a few dollars, u cant get the $30 cash and all your previous spending will not get anything (wasted). So u will be eager to spend more to hit the $300 per mth requirement

in my opinion UOB one card is to encourage people to spend more..i stop using it after 3 months of experience :notti:

imho, different credit cards serve different purposes.

Citibank dividend card is best for petrol followed by

expenditure on food at 5% and 2% rebate respectively.

:dunno:

Me also prefers to pay all my bills in cash....

Though most of my bills are not due when I got my salary...bt I will always clear them on my pay day...

Then I will not spend all those money meant for my bills...

A potential pitfall if you pay by cc.

If you link your utilities bill to your cc, they will show up in your cc monthly statement.

yes the everyday card is the ONLY card you can credit your utilities bill to

for me, i usually charge my first $300 spending to my uob one card then others to my other cards

dividend card is not for me coz the rebates for bills are not good

it's only good for petrol or restaurant dining

for shopping at supermarkets (excl carrefour), i use citibank SMRT coz got 5% rebate

S&CC and starhub bill and installment i use uob one card (3.33% rebate)

the rest is dependent on the promotion at the point of time :dancingqueen:

credit card is a double-edged sword

if you pay the whole bill amt by due date, it's a good tool

but if you have a habit of rolling the balance, then you are better off using cash :)

i only charge a purchase to my card if i have the cash in my account

it's not good to rely on my next month's pay to pay off this month's expenses :thumbs up:

totally agree with you Apple 姐!

nowadays everything so exp.. credit card helps u get rebates from 0.5% to 5%. Different credit card serves it purpose well.

most importantly, dont roll the balance :thumbs up:
