me bought cheap brand from Cold Storage last time..

Yes.. steam cleaner can remove stuff like grease and soap scum without chemicals..

But.. it takes a lot of steam and it takes time for the water to reboil to recharge the steam. A typical cleaning session.. which normally takes like 5 min with detergent.. may take about 20min using the steam cleaner, cos due to reboiling time.

So.. in the end.. unless got industrial size steam cleaner.. bo hua lor..

we use the karcher steam cleaner occasionally (when we do the cleaning ourselves). Good for general cleaning, but definitely not for the removal of hard stains (of course, which detergents are still the best).

I use it for mopping of the floor. I like it for convenience, no need to "change water" or "squeeze the mop dry". Never tried target spot cleaning yet. (as demonstrated by the sales promoter)
