robina is made in malaysia right?

I got it from Lena at Flooroption, 512 Sims Avenue, 6348 0078

Yeah. It's made in Malaysia with German technology. Can go to their website robinaflooring.com to take a look.

They are the sole distributor for both Pergo and Robina.

Pergo's family range and Robina is very similar in terms of specs.

Ask for a laminate sample if you're interested to test it out.

I tried scratching it very hard with the sharp corner of my cleaver and there were fine scratches, not detectable by touch, no split wood. If you do that with tiles, your tile would probably have deep scratches :P

I tried soaking it overnight in a pail, no bloating.

I think if it can withstand these 2 tests, daily use should be no problem :D

2 options i can think of,

1) use and throw when it gets too jia lat

2) re-upholster for a new look, unless you really like the leather?

oops, it's actually 4 years old. owner provided receipt and 5 yr warranty card. so warranty is valid for 1 more year.

I think it'll be useful to reupholster it; even with the cost of the reupholstering, it would be less than the original price for the sofa.

thanks, my house is gonna be a white house :D

generally, LCD has a soft screen while plasma has a hard screen so it's more child-proof

LCD works better in daylight while plasma works better in night condition so if you like watching tv in dim conditions, plasma's better

plasma's colour saturation is richer than lcd

image sharpness depends on resolution. a hd-ready lcd and a hd-ready plasma are the same.

anyway, i bought plasma for 3 reasons.

1. i rarely watch tv and if i do, it'll be at night

2. the colour looks better too

3. it's $599 :D

I would recommend you to get quotes from Sun Sun Glass and Besglas.

Sun Sun Glass charges less for the glass, but their sliding mechanism seems expensive.

Besglas charges more for the glass, but their sliding mechanism seems cheaper.

So just get quotation from both and decide for yourself :)
