Looking For An Id/Contractor

Recommended Posts

Join 46,923 satisfied homeowners who used renotalk quotation service to find interior designers. Get an estimated quotation

Hi, I'm getting my new flat in Punggol soon and wish to do up the entire home..

I feel word-of-mouth and getting referred by clients of good IDs/Contractors will be a good start to get some quotations. Anyone here who feels your ID/contractor did a good job and deserves your recommendation? Can refer him to me? If there is a blog/photos to back-up, it will make the recommendation very much stronger than just mere words.

Appreciated~

Hi

If u r interested, u can contact my ID who did my 4 rm flat in punggol. I think their price is reasonable taking the fact that i did the entire house reno with wall coverings!

If u r keen, u can contcat her at 91251654, joyce from junwang decor. Grt day!

Rgds

I was looking around in punggol and renotalk

Forum for sometimes. I notice one particular

ID company, Ciseern have quite a number of

Poor feedback and workmanship so so.

Today, I notice the original forum in renotalk

about Ciseern was removed. I suspect the company

had request to remove as a lot bad comments.

If it is not true, why they remove from forum?

Dear all,

I am from Ciseern and would like to clarify some matters.

First of all, the tread on Ciseern was closed by Renotalk's Administrator and not at the request of Ciseern. The reason may be because there is an investigation of defamation going on.

We are suspecting that someone is using different usernames to post negative remarks to defame Ciseern. So far there are 3 usernames being investigated and others still going on. The 3 usernames are 1) magma 2) sufferer87 3) truth0007. The findings are: -

1) magma posting on Apr 7 2011 at 11:17pm & truth0007 posting on Apr 8 2011 at 12:01am shared the same IP Address 116.15.72.181

2) truth0007 posting on Apr 8 2011 at 3:58pm & sufferer87 posting on Apr 8 2011 at 8:46pm shared the same IP Address 116.15.191.59

3) sufferer87 posting on Apr 13 2011 at 6:48am & truth0007 posting on Apr 13 2011 at 9:04am shared the same IP Address 49.245.92.234

With such findings, we strongly believed that the 3 users are of the same person, or from the same computer or at least from the same internet environment. Further actions will be taken after we got reply from Singnet Broadband the identities of theses IP Addresses.

We had already requested Renotalk Administrator to put Ciseern's tread back and reveal the same findings. Meanwhile, as investigation is still on going, we will not comment further till investigation is completed.

Thank you for reading this and do post truly.

CiseernAdmin

i realise that those thread with company names are usually those who have past clients

or existing one who are renovating with them...

treads like "ID or contractor to recommend" i suspect that there are a numbers of ID pretending

as past client and recommending their own company!

Are business that bad that u need to do this???

To those ID pretending as client, IF your track records are clean, start a tread with your company name

and ask for feedback... this way, we can better tell the reputation of the ID company

I would like to clarify that these users (magma, sufferer87, truth0007, buoyant9090) belong to the same person.

What was written in this forum was made out of impulse due to miscommunication between Ciseern and me.

I sincerely apologise for my actions and would like to withdraw all remarks made against Ciseern.

Well....this is Renotalk. It's a forum. Half the recommendations/complaints cannot be trusted. Even those with photos can be faked. Google Images is your best friend.

Self recommendations are like everywhere. Likewise, complaints may be attacks from green-eyed rivals.

It's like part of the game. No need to be angry about it. Be smart, be alert and think for yourself is what that matters.

Hi all,

This is my very first post. I am looking for an ID, but bad thing is I have only a vague idea of what I want. I need an ID who is good and patient and willing to listen to me.

I have screened through some of the forums but I guess it is best I get first hand information and feedback from you guys out here. Some information and disclaimers are below:

1. I am really new to this forum, I am not scammer/renovator/collector of market data or whatsoever. I am really in need of an ID, and a good one. I can PM you my personal details if need be.

2. I am looking to renovate a brand new flat, just gotten my keys couple of months ago, it's a 4-room 90sqm flat.

3. My email is sporzboi@yahoo.com. Any direct recommendations to this email would be very much appreciated.

4. I'll try to check back at this post (I dun even know if I posted in the right post) but I do check my email much more often.

5. Thank you so much for your feedback and recommendations. Really appreciates.

I'm new here and but have been reading and learning from everyone so I figured it's my time to contribute and give back to fellow forumers. After reading lots about the good and bad contractors/ID's out there, I feel I have to put forward Vincent from Chiam Soon Seng that was recommended to me by 3 different friends. They all used the same contractor and all referred him to me. Now that I'm about 75% through the renovation process, I can see why. In the beginning, I did the usual 'shopping around' and asked for 5 quotes from different companies (tiring since some didn't even respond after I chased them several times). As suggested by some postings, I did an 'apples to apples' comparison and found out that not only is Vincent's worksmanship commended by my friends, his price was also the most reasonable! I had decided on the style and design so I only needed the contractor services. On top of the pricing though, the thing I liked most about the process is that they are flexible and very, very patient - very important for a first time home-owner like me who doesn't know as much as she thinks!

Timelines have been kept and budgets respected which is, from what I've been told, not very common in the industry. Not only is Vincent's service and attitude fantastic (he always picks up his phone or calls you back right away - even I don't do that) but all his sub-contractors are friendly, timely and professional. I am always hounding the renovations but they work and work and I see big changes at the end of each day.

I have yet to see the carpentry, which Vincent tells me is his company's specialty. I'll keep you guys posted as I go and add some pictures soon.

PM me if you need his details. (I don't work with or for the company. I'm just a happy customer who believes in good service.)

Hi, can pm me on Vincent details and a sample of his work? Thanks.
