we are not spending too much on our wedding but it kinda wipe out a big part of the savings unfortunately. its not a very grand wedding but as little as we can, but some things cant avoid. if you are chinese with traditional parents who insist traditions, u will understand.

i understand, chinese traditions must not break so got a lot of guests esp from parents :( so big chunk of budget goes to reception

I think there are some ID firms that specialise in a minimalist look. You can check out this story of a HDB renovation: http://stories.cromly.com/stories/article/house-tour-loon-and-mels-minimalist-and-muji-filled-home

If you want to save more money, going with Muji or Ikea to help them plan out your space can be cheaper as well. Ikea sells every type of kitchen cabinets, stove, hood, etc. imaginable!

Hi Fi5hbone, but does IKEA/MUJI charge extra fee for that? do you know roughly how much? because if its not much diff then I'd settle with ID
