I have laminated flooring throughout the whole house and just bought a Philips vacuum cleaner. The saleperson told us to get the heads that have rubber wheels and rubber parts instead of metal so it won't scratch the floor.

That should help.. don't have to buy super good one la.. parts are more expensive! but do the same jobs!

i'm also looking at Miele after doing some research on the internet. Seem like the brand gets a lot of good review. where di you buy yours? seem like the small neighbour shops don't carry this brand.

Miele vacuum cleaner? I hardly think it's worth it. Please don't go for brand name. I will only buy Miele for their ovens and well known honey comb washing machine.

I am using a Rainbow system and I swear by it, for all the functions that I use it for. E.g. I vacuum my mattresses very week.

If it's for normal hard floor, get one that has very good suction is good enough.
