  1. I saw 2 new models from LG website , the desciptions of the new technology that emulates real hand washing , it has a direct drive motor also. Anyone has brought and care to share ? I hope it is really as good as hand wash because most washing machines depend on detergent to remove/clean our laundry.
  2. For condenser model, my understanding that Bosch has a model WTW86560BY that is maintenance free(don't have to manually throw the water from container).
  3. Is this the 1st time you're getting a washing machine and dryer? Whether yes or no , here is my suggestion by asking yourself: 1. Determine how many time you need laundry in a week 2. Determine whether you want to hang your laundry outside your house. 3. Do you want to wash your clothes and same time dry it? This usually for someone who doesn't have time for laundry. 4. Do you want to save some untility bill?? with some of these, you should narrow down your selection. Opinion 1: if you hardly use the dryer, then I would advise you either don't buy the dryer or get the combi model. This would save some space and $$$. Opinion 2: Seperate washer and dryer if you use both very often. in many cases, dryer will consume a lot electrical energy. if you've better budget, then you should choose dryer with 4 green ticks(watchout the price tag). Minimally, I'd choose a 3 green ticks dryer. my2cents..
  4. Nope Macnukem. RX-A is the newer range, my understanding that it's available in US and Australia. Me too, I'm waiting for Rx-A 3000 , would like to try out.
  5. Go for Philips e.g. FC8734. cheaper and good. Most accessory are available in major store. If you want better vaccum , the price is above 1K . My older Philips vaccum cleaner last for 8 yrs.
  6. Thks , this help. Look like a seperate dryer is more suitable for us.
  7. bro, since yours is combo, is it true it's not 100% dry? I cannot trust the salesman 100%
  8. Oh ya, the sales person also said that it take longer time and not 100% dry for combo model. If this really the case then I'd rather spilt it. Anyone has any recommendation for dryer (7kg) with energy efficiency and product price below $700?
  9. Yup, no doubt about this. In our case, our dryer last for almost 10 yr and washer about 8 yr, the main reason I guess is we used the washer very often then the dryer. However, I'll be gald if the combo set can last for 5yr and above, that is worth our $$$
  10. For Dryer, we perfer 5kg . We often use the dryer to (kill) sanitize bacteria for our comforter, quilt cover and etc, which is heaviler to hang outside. I saw Counts and Gaincity selling Electrolux EWW1273 which has 7kg washer and 5 Kg Dryer, I wonder whether it's really able to cope with 5kg drying as I saw some webpage from AU only mentioned 3.5kg drying. LG has a model 1210rdsu where is capable to handle 12kg wash and 7kg drying , the features look great also but I don't like the price. also I'm not sure whether it is reliable and durable. Anyone can share or feedback on Samsung and LG ?
  11. I'm yet to decide whether to get a combo or seperate it. My Dryer had dead for few months , I've not have any issue until recently because of the weather. althought now the sun pop up more offen but I think I'd still need a dryer in case of Raining day. I was told by Saleman that any combo model would have the same problem on dryer, which it not 100% dry, is this true? Our laundry are fully load per wash in most cases . Anyone care to share which model to look for energy efficiency and good price? Also any Combo model to recommend?
  12. Any bro or sis care to share, thanks in advance. I'm looking for a replacement of my 10 years old faulty dryer. Any recomendation for reliable model (6kg to 8kg model) and save electrical bill? I've just checked the link from NEA but it seem like all models are before 2010. Where is the best place to view most of the brand and model?
  13. Don't mind you share with us what is your air-con brand?
  14. 5kg should be ok, unless you've a lot to dry or you need to dry Comforter, Just note that Dryer consumed a lot of electricity..just like Air-con..
  15. Is the price the same between these brands? I've use both brands before, I find Electrolux quality are better interm of electronic. However, I can tell you that you must look for a machine that will swtich off after washing or drying, this can safe some power consumption. I known Electrolux equipped with this feature. Brandt also ok if you want a simple and does the washing, it's still a good assistance. There a lot washer with many many features but eventually you'll be using 1 or 2 function only.
  16. In most cases it's still depend on yourself, the main fartor is how many unit you want to on and how long?? if you thinking of using it no so offen e.g. 1 time a week for 3 or 4 hr, then this would not make a lot different between inverter or non-inverter. if you decide to on the air con every nite for e.g. 8 or 10 hr either 1 or 2 unit then it's better to goes for inverter . Most people go for Japanese brand here.
  17. I can't recall all but compressor was 5 yr. I think if other parts are not cover and usually it spoil earlier then the cost of repair would be high. Anyway most manufacturer had 5 yr on compressor. Sharp Fridge also not bad , nice and cheaper too.
  18. I've encounter problem after about 2 yrs , the temperature sensor multfunction and one of the compressor is damage because of the sensor. Feel like giving up but somehow still survive, sometime the compress noise a bit irritating.
  19. In most case you've to chck how much to repair, if repair cost is half of the new set then you can consider to replace a brand new set.
  20. Anyone know how much is system 4? so far only Toshiba put some product info on the web, check this out http://www.airconwarehouse.co.uk/pdf/Toshi...%20Inverter.pdf
  21. Usually I'll go 637 Veerasamy Road to buy, there're many shops and price wise definitely cheaper then Rochor.. I got my osram PLC 10w at $3 each.. it's cheaper???
  22. clipsal is ok and also cheaper then Legrand.
  23. Inverter spoil faster? Bullish, don't buy from this shop.. I think sale talk, I'm using inverter system for many many yrs, never break down le, but have to services regularly , whether inverter or non inverter are the same..
  24. Yup, Designer price.. but frankly, a lot lighting shop open and decommission, so very hard to get you a proper guide. I had have to shop around to look the light that we like, so sometime not choice have to put some effort on it.
  25. I brought mine 8 yrs back near South bridge Road, their price was reasonable but I don't know whether they're still around. I can't remember the shop name... Have you visited parkmall ?
