Rubbish Chute

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm looking to change the rubbish chute in my newly bought resale 3rm flat.

Any idea if i should change my wall tiles first or the rubbish chute?

Also, does anybody has any contact for floor polish? My newly owned flat

is currently using Terrazzo, and i'm hoping to see if i can polish it to give

a new look instead of hacking the floor.

Please help. Thanks! kids2

market rate around $180 including installation for a stainless steel with very tiny gap.

sometimes you got to let your contractor "KNOW" the market rate mah.

should i or jus let the contractor settle everything?

sometimes , you just need to let the contractor earn some money while at same time letting him know that you can actually get a similiar item cheaper elsewhere. Meanwhile halfway thru the reno, you are bound to add certain things here and there, thats the time WHEN YOU ASK HIM FOR FREE or at a very low price.

I think u have to see the chute to compare the material. Heard some offer u cheap cheap, but the material maybe not so good.

The one my ID install is stanless steel chute with boltless & slim & air-tight.

But HDB got put standard price is $180 for baseline. So, u should not get more that that, unless they give u 18K gold plated :notti:

I also interest in maintaining the polished marble floor, any1 see any small tool that can do the DIY polishing ourself?

MaCe,

my hubby bought from one hardware shop in our neighbourhood then got the contractor's workers to install for us. We did told the contractor that his quotation for the rubbish chute (+ installation) was really too ex and eventually they allowed us to buy from elsewhere n gave free installation. At least yrs a mere $40 difference, ours was almost double and I jokingly asked if my rubbish chute wld be gold plated when I first saw the quotation .
