Where To Buy Smokeless Charcoal

Always wanted to do barberque at home. Does that means no smokes?

I bought a pack from cold storage - it says smokeless on the outside - but when i actually used it, still got smoke....

Found charcoal from a old provision store...$5 for 5 kg

I am thinking of using charcoal stove to make soup so that I can save on LPG bills and also because some say, soup tastes better cooked that way...

Just wondering if anyone can provide lobang to buy cheaper charcoal (apart from NTUC and Cold Storage - which i find are a bit expensive)and preferably those that are smokeless ( today I tried starting fire and gosh....soo sooo soooo smokey).
