That is a restful place! The expansive walk-in is indeed drool worthy! Hi Songz, I do change it each time because they will be covered in dust (In my case at least). If it is very light dusting, I wouldn't change it. you'll know what I mean when you see it. You can't shake the dust off the duster.

Long overdue house updates So we've been living in our house since early March 2014, which is almost 4 months now. I'm sure I share other homeowners' sentiments when I say that one of the best feelings you can have at this stage in life is living in a space that you can truly call your own. For those of us who have put extra effort (and $$$) into planning our renovations, the feeling is that much more fulfilling. The Mrs and I are really enjoying our home (as some of you have rightly pointed out) and these days, that's all we really do - enjoy the house and each other's company. When it comes to decorating and buying other household items, we have been pretty slow on that front as we are rather careful to only buy stuff that we need and which won't end up as clutter around the house. Plus, since we have a baby on the way, we have to keep our floors as clear of stuff as possible. For that matter, we have been hoarding up on baby items instead! So in the next series of pictures, you will notice that our house has still been kept pretty bare, even minimalist. I would however, like to fill up the walls more, with our pictures, art etc. (I have a certain aversion to bare walls). Arming myself with a wide-angle lens, here are some pics of the house in its current state, at different angles. MASTER BEDROOM One of our favourite spots in the house. Nothing beats chilling on the bed and watching a movie or tv series just before bed. A little view of the curves on our wingback bed. Adds a nice stylistic touch to an otherwise plain headboard. Made use of the original MBR recess area to put art. This way it makes the space look purposeful, as though it was a design idea built into the renovation process. A view of our 'luxury' item, a no holds barred walk in wardrobe, but by this time full of clothes. We're running out of space. Help! We're thinking of putting the baby crib in the WIW at night, this way we can attend to our baby easily. When our kid(s) grows up, we can then think about placing a boutique-like display cum storage cupboard in the middle of the WIW. Showcasing the carpet we recently bought - adding a little texture to an otherwise cold looking room. Our Simpsons-esque caricature based on a photo taken on our wedding day! Anyone interested??

Haha game of thrones? Awesome! My wife and I both love the series. We have always joked about me wanting to live in a batcave or a dungeon so it looks like it's going to happen! It is currently my most loved feature in the house and I really hope it works out in execution. Crossing my fingers that there won't be any technical issues.

first of all, your ID needs to be comfortable with it. some groups of sub con will not interact so much with each other. For e.g, the doors or windows with the air-con. But definitely, your schedule of works need to flow nicely and correctly. the sequencing must be correct. some Id who is helpful enough will be able to plan it out for u. There are some who needs to work closely with though. Examples, the tiler and the plumber, or the electrician and carpenter. Do up a detailed schedule and stretch out the days just in case there are any delays. you don’t want to be caught in a situation whereby the electrician delayed the works and the painter and carpenter will have to reschedule their installation days. Sub-cons have their scheduled worked out as well, if you delay, sometimes they are not able to come on the specific date you want. do not put any valuable things or items in your house unless you are there to supervise throughout the whole day. if anything goes missing or damage, no one will admit and you will have a headache with all the finger pointing games. Give yourself more than enough time for the project. Hope these helps!

Referring to decoration, many people may think of flooring decoration, then considering which flooring is more suitable for them, wood flooring or laminate flooring, who can offer the best laminate flooring, are there American walnut laminate flooring or Brazilian cherry laminate flooring which bring exotic feeling… No matter what it is, it’s all about flooring and people seldom think about the accessories like skirting. Actually, skirting is also important for decoration, and different skirting colors may bring different effect. So how to select the right colors for skirting? Follow my four suggestions below and you will find the answer. No. 1 Consideration of the interior lighting conditions Skirting color is tightly connected with the interior lighting conditions. If it’s bright inside the room, any color of skirting is ok and that does not matter much. But if it’s dark inside, you’d better choose skirting with bright colors which will lighten the room to some degree; otherwise, the whole room will be enveloped with dark atmosphere. No. 2 Consideration of the room area In small rooms, warm colors bring depressing feeling while in large and wide rooms, cold colors make you feel void. Therefore we need to make a selection according to the practical conditions of our room. For small room, choose cold colors like white; for large room, choose warm colors like earthy yellow. No. 3 Consideration of door frame colors Another criteria for choosing skirting color is to select the same colors as door frame. No matter what the color is, as long as skirting color is the same to door frame color, the whole room will appear harmonious. And if you don’t want them to use the same color, then choose the similar ones. Remember, never try the different colors because that will make your room look weird. No. 4 Consideration of furniture colors Generally speaking, skirting is rarely focused unless it’s extremely striking. Want the skirting to be obscure? Just match its color with the furniture whose color takes a majority part of the whole room. After so many tips above, do you have a clearer picture about how to choose skirting color?

What is popular must be well proven, vinyl is a commoditiy product in the world market for over a century. Why take risks for something new and not proven yet?Plus, consumers always fear the distributor will close down, especially for an unknown product.Thereby, play safe,1 person may be wrong but so many are using vinyl, you can't be wrong, can you? They dun get popular for nothing.

Hello, after having heard lots of horror stories I thought I'd ask around here if anyone has used a reliable aircon servicing company that operates in the West area of Singapore? Clementi/Toh Tuck area. What sort of price for cleaning and gas refill? I really don't want companies that try to upsell you on annual packages or cause you more problems than you had in the first place. I just think that some of my units are not as cold as they should be and haven't been serviced for more than a year so they could use cleaning and gas refill. If the maintenance guy comes on or close to appointed time that would be great too - ended up waiting more than 2 hours before for people. If I get all 4 units done in my flat, is there usually some bulk discount? No self-promo pls!
