They were slightly delayed as the plumbers hadn't done the kitchen plumbing when they arrived otherwise they would have been faster. So I think your carpentry can go up in 2 days as you have more. haha My contractor is hassled by us every day...

Mine too. just that the home was in bad condition (unlike yours) so I'm forced to renovate. parents loved the place so we bought it for them. Put up before and after photos ok? I'd love to see how the upholstery turns out!!!!

Personally I will just ask for it to be changed and retiled. It's not tough to change really. Tilers can do it easily.

WAH your layout is NICE! Though you have a curved wall in your living but your main door opens into your large living.. and the rest of the rooms are very angular. nice!!! If you don't have any ideas... Surf around the web. Just go to Yahoo, search for images for bedroom, kitchen, etc and start collecting photos of what you like first. And also read the forum for what needs to be done. You can also approach one or two IDs (to test water) first. They will give you quotations and such. DON'T SIGN for anything yet. Just let them "teach" you some lingo. hehehhee That's what I did. When you're ready with your list of things to do, then you can start your real shopping for contractors/IDs. HAVE FUN!

The feeling is quite unbelievable really. heheh THANK YOU THANK YOU! These photos were taken earlier in the day. The only coloured room in the house belongs to my brother. All four walls in maroon. The rest of the house is white with white doors... Our kitchen cabinets are all done. White with bits of grey. This is what the shoe cabinet at the main door looks like. By the end of the day, the rest of the debris had been cleared. The Air conditioning units have been serviced. I wanted to take photos of the completed toilets but the painters had covered everything in order to paint the pipes in the toilet. The lights are also up but I didn't have the time to take photos of them. The bedroom doors are also up by the end of the day and the main door is also up. They are waiting to be painted tomorrow. By 2pm tomorrow, everything will be more or less done and the cleaners will come in to polish the floor tiles.

I'm really glad you did the post-dated thing. She probably is taking advantage of the situation cos she's the experienced "auntie" here. Seriously since you haven't met the sellers, you might not know what she's telling them. She could be telling them that YOU are the busy ones, you cannot meet up and might portray a bad image of you guys. I certainly wish you luck in house hunting... I hope you find a place just as good as this one... with someone better marketing it
