Tis pricing is commonly used by ID firms, consider market price liao... Price from;/- ABC contractor = cheap Direct electrician = cheaper

Its shouldn't be a prob if the drainage outlet from ur air-con blower is at least 4inches higher than the up turn... Most of the HDB flats have tis prob.... Its wiser for u to do servicing of the drain pipe anually by the professionals... (To pump the excess water off to avoid chokage)

Dirty Grout Lines On New Tiles!
de_Pierre replied to happysnowball's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
My tiler is bery naughty, say tis is his "tan chiat" selling point... dun wan disclose to me... He also mention can apply to wet areas to act as water proofing membrane... so sickening... My apologies... (i seen he did the application, i suspect its "water based lacquer", which leaves on fine thin layer of lacquer w/o any texture) If got chance, i sure take some of his liquid n compare wif the water based lacquer.... ^^ -

de_Pierre replied to sir_ddt's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Tis is the price tad almost all ID firm is using (so call market price bcos electrical pring is very open)... If u can get directly from the electrician, u can at least save 10% or more.... -

(tis quote is from some where in tis forum, http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=17599 ^^) Its all depends on 1's view n luck. To compare is healthy, Compare too much will get high blood... ^^ Watch ur health ar... ^^

Sure not approved 1 la, if there's no proper connecting of sewage pipe, how can be done? Even the HDB rules are fixed, whereby it writes can be done, but the site is practically cant be done (no matter EM/EA, we're talking abt high rise flats), no way to argue with the HDb officers...

Dirty Grout Lines On New Tiles!
de_Pierre replied to happysnowball's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Its the same material for grouting, jus purely add some colored powder only... All tilers should know wad is it... 1 packet is enuf for whole hse groutings which cost merely less than $10... Colors is constraint but if ur tilers is **** hardworking, u can get any color u wan.... I doubt the tilers got time to do for u FOC... ^^ In the market, theres a type of chemical which leaves a thin layer of lacquer to protect the grouting/ cement... Its abit costly but it can protect the grouting/cement from being stained... at least 90% useful... F.Y.I. No contractors will charge anything less than $10 unless there's some hard feelings during the reno... wads tad $10 compare to the big sum of reno done? jus go ahead n ask for it... ^^ -
In singapore, notin goes cheaper yearly... Only rise n rise!!! Imagine 8 yrs ago, 1 pack of cigarette merely cost abt $6, now going to $12 aldy.... jus imagine... from no GST, till now GST 7%.... sigh....

Dirty Grout Lines On New Tiles!
de_Pierre replied to happysnowball's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
TIPS for all, If u r using homogenous or ceramic flooring, its better for u to use "colored cement" to do the grouting (uniform color as ur tiles)... Reason is some tiles tends to lose its base color when touches water (water or vapours from cement beneadth)... Therefore the grouting might got dyed... "colored cement" = white cement + water + colored powder Even the wall tiles grouting will also turn out bad... For white wall tiles, before u confirm choosing, try asking the supplier abt it... (Bcos some white ceramic wall tiles tends to dye the grout, as wall tiles r being soaked in water b4 laying) i kana once b4... In the end, my owner n me lose some money to redo the grouting by asking 4 ah neh's to dig the old ugly grout(3 days), left the wall tiles to be totally dried up(abt 2 weeks) then re-grout again... -

de_Pierre replied to boonkhim's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works

erm, i think u better read the guide carefully... Installation of toilet bowl means replacing the old bowl to a new 1... Not construct a new toilet bowl... If construct new toilet with new toilet bowl can be done without permit, i wonder where will all the sewage goes... ^^ The architects no rice eat liao... Bcos we can be architects too... kekeke (^oo^)

Hi everyone, i'm advertising myself... ^^ Pm me for details ar.... Cheers (^oo^)

"Solid surface" contents = Resin (chemical) + Harderner (chemical) Resin = Acrylic n chemical contents Produce Method same like making jelly... whereby resin + colouring is the material, Harderner is the "Fire" to boil n harden the resin... can be shaped into any kind depends on the template... Acrylic contents in Resin is to make the product shines, looks more glossy n elegant... Its harder compare to common resin, therefore can withstand scratches better... *All "solid suface" is not scratch proofed... Pricing for raw acrylic is more EX then common resins... Therefore "solid surface" with more acrylic % will derived high cost price... Touch ups can be done with professional skilled workers despite of any material... So long can get the same colour(resin from the manufacturer), joinings can be done perfectly... Pricing for local market = *material cost + *labour cost + company's overhead expenses *Material Cost = raw resin + acrylic % + manufacturer's origin + shipment to SG *Labour Cost = skilled or unskilled workers? For cutting n joining skills in local company *Company base = Advertising + salesman + office rental fees + many many more... This is the chart for the pricing of ur "solid surface".....
