How long does a typical oven last before it does anyway?

I see a lot of recommendation for Brandt. Can someone recommend an oven for regular usage to cook and bake? Eectrolux, Brandt or Borsch? Or any other brands that you feel is good. One of the criteria is to have 3 layers of glass in front so that the oven is not hot to touch when in use.

Found the resale unit we got has drywood termite in one of the built in cabinets. We gave consulted 2 pest control companies. 1 suggest to spray chemicals to kill it before hacking away. The other said not to agigate them or they may spread. Just tear down the structure. We are already living in there. Can somone share your own experience on how to get rid of them effectively?

How to keep the gap between my quartz counter top mould free then? Currently it is sealed with silicon.

Any recomendation where I can find them? I dont like what I see online. I need them to come in slate base too.

Tempur for me. Their pillows are the best! The mattress is indeed a little warm but if you buy the cooling egyptian cotton mattress cover, prob is kind of solved. Some people tell me that to get the memory foam feeling, they get a topper but i don't think it can compare to a mattress that is fully memory foam. Going to get a bigger mattress in 6 mths time and not sure if I should keep to Tempur. I read latex is less warm. Anybody has comparison feedback so far?

We're toying with the idea of replacing the tiles in our living and dining room to hardwood instead of homogenous tiles. I read that SG's humid weather may not be suitable for hardwood and maintenance is much more than homogenous tiles Is the cost also much higher? Would love to hear from a house owner using hardwood for their flooring.

I went to them to make my curtains 4 years back as they are located just opposite my place. I've forgotten the name of the person that attended to my probs but he has an attitude problem and was very rude. I'll not go back to them again the next time I need new curtains.

My old canopy/built in cooking hood is of width 700mm only and there's no more replacement anymore. I have no space to fit even a 720mm in as it is cut out exactly to this width. I have been advise to remove and redo all kitchen cabinet to replace this hood but this is an very expensive option just for the hood. Can someone advise what other optins there are and is a hood very crucial to everyday cooking with light stir frying?

Tecno and turbo brands were recommended for my specs as mine is a canopy type of hoods and Fujioh sadly doesn't have 1 that fit the sizing. May I know which is a better brand between these 2/ Or any other brands to recommend? I've decided to change both cooker and hood.

Which brand of hood is good for frying? to suck out the oil and all effectively? i need a canopy one and got recommended a slim FUJIOH one and the ladt said it's the same but FUJIOH suction is better. What about gas hob? Any to recommend too? I cook a lot, have 2 young kids and I steam, stir fry and hubby cooks steak once in a while and it'll be a mess. Hope to get some help soon, thanks!!

My place isn't new and about 10 years old. I am not the first owner. I want to service my cooking hood and the brand is Elba, how can I go about doing it? Any recommendations for company? Thanks!

Neogarden is good but serving is small. It'll be just nice or nice food will be all gone.

I can tell you they anyhow quote kind. They're just opposite my place and I made curtains with them before and when I went back to try to make 1 more 2 years later, the price was rubbish. They can just dropped and it was still high. I just walked away. The guy that came and fixed my curtains back then was also very rude. Avoid them at all cost!

My estate wants us to remove the wooden/PVC blind as they get black after a while. Their advice is to replace with The grey partial black out kind as in the link above (http://www.mingsliving.com/#!blinds/c158d). So now, we're considering to remove totally or to a new replacement. Anyone has good recommendations for blinds company or maybe even just for removal only as we won't be able to do it ourselves. TIA!! =)

i heard quite a few bad experience with Propnex agents too.My bf who is an agent also faced probs with a few of them. i think you should contact Propnex and see whether they can help or just blow up the issue to the press then.
