Hihi, a quick update on our hacking process. The house looks really spacious right now cos we hacked down many walls to make space for a new bedroom and an ultra big MBR. Our balcony. Hee, guess the workers are really making themselves comfy in the house. As you can see, our storeroom has been hacked away and now our mbr joins up with the adjoining bedroom to form an ultra big space! Our MBR WHO WANTS TO USE THIS TOILET???!!

Any ideas whats the difference in cost if you opt for a normal setting? No slow closing or whatever? Coz I can't imagine the kitchen cabinets being slammed from regular usage...

Just bought mine last year september. 27. Was lucky that I didn't follow the idea that "prices has hit a peak, will drop soon..." didn't even have to pay cov. phew.

I just got an Electrolux 8kg front loader myself so cross fingers for the both of us!

I prefer undermount too... looks more sleek. Considering it for my kitchen.. but I heard this kind of sinks is more expensive?

haha ya... I sort of got a sense of that from your reno. he's not like the detailed guy that keeps to schedules... more like artist? ha... But we really like his designs and his ideas, especially how he did the space planning for us while incoporating our fengshui needs.. and also we have some leeway in terms of the handover date.. (not telling him that ) Thats the same for us! One of the best thing about the unit is that is big and squarish, unlike some flats with oddly designed living rooms etc...

Hommage near Macpherson is similar to S&C I believe. Good pricing but they have limited pieces on display. They have a lot of catalogues though, so if you are ok with buying through pictures you should get some good deals. Maybe you can compare between the two?

For front loaders, european brands like elctrolux and bosch are quite established. After sales service are good too though I read comments that service may be a bit slow..

Depending on the material you choose (fabric or leather) it can range from 3k to 5k... A tip from my recent trip there, they will be having a 25% off sale during the GSS. So if you can wait it might be a bargain.

Just back from work and wanted to share some before pics plus the hacking that is currently underway.,, Our living room... picture showing our balcony... dining area... this is gonna be converted to another bedroom kitchen.... The house we bought is really old... haiz.... everything needs to be renovated.

Bukit Batok. Yup. We are one of those blocks that will have this second door. The other alternative to the lift upgrading is to have the lift positioned at the middle of the stairwell, meaning we still have to travel up a flight of stairs, which i think is ridiculous. Thanks Mickey, we have been keeping close tabs on your blog actually hah.. btw your house is shaping up real nicely!

Dear all, Our renovation has just started last week and we are really excited to share the progress of our house with all of you. The forum has been a really valuable source of information and also an inspiration for the both of us..... After sourcing for many many months, we have finally decided to work with Loyd from Dhome as our ID. His ideas are very refreshing and he is able to do constructive space planning for us even though we had alot of restrictions right from the start due to the fengshui of our house. Also, we were impressed with his previous work and so we hope to create a beautiful home under his guidance. And here comes pictures Here is our original floorplan.... with inputs from our fsm. Has anyone purchased from or heard of Zenith? Its located in Sungei Kadut. Seems to be a new establishment. Quite like the sofas there. Showroom pieces are of really high quality. Not really cheap though.. mid range prices... May want to get something there but scare products delivered might not match up... anyone has any feedback?
