  1. This depends on what kind of glass door u r doing right? If normal shower screens don't think is this price. Mine is framless sliding which should be more ex than normal swing door type is cheaper than your price. Think u better compare apple to apple, just giving size & thickness alone prices can varies....... u can try call 9832 6166 to enquire (did my both hse, gd)
  2. haha my old flat shower screen also hav this stain marks problem. so I the glass supplier to help me solve this problem. He recommend me to paste a frosted film on it so I need not clean it oftenly. So for my 2nd flat, I hav the frosted film on it. I did not clean it for a yr & the glass still looks good. so now we only clean it during the spring cleaning. And one more plus point for the film, it can hold the glass in place in the case the glass break. one point to take note, the frosted side must be clean to prevent stain to be stack on it.
  3. wow u should not post two similar topic leh, but once again u can try xavier 9832 6166 who did a good job for my both flats for glass & mirrors works.
  4. regarding to the price range differences, I had check with my glass supplier. He say its really varies, 1)Is it really 10mm tempered glass framless shower screen? 2)Is the shower hinges they using is make of brass or stainless steel?(brass & stainless is ok, some are those bathroom holders which looks like stainless steel or polished chrome) 3)The way of installing? (cheap suppliers will remove spring inside the hinges so it can be installed easily without fault-but the door will not be able to close itself at a angle of 15 to 20 degree) but good thing is it will not spoil cos the hinge is already spoil by them ! 4)Are they using stainless steel screws? 5)What's the height & length of the shower screen needed? 6)Types of handle?(can hang towels?) 7)Any warranty? 8)Installed by bangadash or chinaman foreman? (at least a local or malaysian foreman in charge of chinaman still ok) 9) & so on...... the rest can't remember lol
  5. You can try calling xavier 9832 6166, both my new & old flat glass doors & mirrors done by him. Sincere & good recommendations
  6. open concept is nice if the designer layout it well, but for fengshui matters its not good. thats y master will ask people try to avoid toilet door facing direct bed or try keep the door close. & if u do big business at wc, smell will comes out if hav no door at all right?
  7. that bath tub look nice only dont think its practical. & sg toilet so small, unless u staying landed, but if landed should buy those big long tub with spa I seen total black toilets before looks nice & classy, even the wc & sink also black, lighting dim yellow lights, but for me i prefer bright, so my toilets r white but also classy with glass bowl & stands & glass doors. & I use ikea white plastic shoe rack for my storage items as it will not rust or wood willl not last. cheap & gd plus neat design
  8. for those whose seldom cook, just buy those design u like or those which r less costly. most impt of all dont buy those with safety valve, which is good if there r wind which blow off your fire & it will auto shut off your gas. my 1st hse with safety valve works very well but new hse I bot again with safety valve at a mistake. I cant turn on the fire easily, need to press real hard & long for the sensor to feel the heat so it wont cut off the gas supply. its from techno, & the repair guys say its like that so kids wont hav the strength to press it, I told him my old one works well without pressing so hard & for so long. than I told him next time buy a hp with buttons also like that so kids wont call or play game lor!
  9. ya 10 mm is good enough, I regreted it for my kitchen door using 12mm thick, old hse use 10mm much lighter & smoother. should had listen to the supplier recomendations...............
  10. I think u need the kerb, if not after u spend $$ & yet lots of water flow out for there, unless u using framed type than I surpose no need. but at least u need two drainage point: one for the shower area & another for the wc area!!
  11. I still have my glass supplier contact, he is very frank when I ask him abtfor my mirrors & glass works. the mirrors & glass. I took his words for it & had been 3 yrs now no complain for the mirros & glass works. my 1st sengkang flat mirror is done by them too, when i moved, the mirror still brand new.
  12. heard there r slight difference regarding the finishes of the glass edges, tempering by different suppliers also plays a part. think also depends on the size & different design of the layout of the shower screens. ask them properly. mine comes with 2 yrs warranty n its less than $500. its being 3 yrs & still working properly.
  13. err, from the pic i look at the doors, it should not hav certain weight resistent for a 4 yrs old kid unless they use different hinges. maybe its the rubber at the sides causing the resistent. My both toilets doors r also frameless glass doors, its good n look classy than bi-fold doors n comes with 2 yrs warranty.
