Finally Sign With Him After Shortlist/view More Then 20+ Id...
bepgof replied to luvhenny's topic in Renovation Packages
Wedding/buy house/reno are 'huge capital expenditure' periods in one's life phases. Live within means, keep spares for rainy days. Fasten the belt and bite the bullets first, always. Sunny days will come. Then you can lend 'umbrella' to banks. Credit cards charges at daily compounding interest rate, is equivalent to about 24% pa rate. It is another 'Ah Long' who takes away yr umbrella in raining days. Or switch off the 'tap' when you're in need for water. https://www.mlaw.gov.sg/content/ipto/en/news/announcements/statistics.html There are no 'cheap' things in Singapore. Don't believe? Do you often experience what others buy always cheaper than what you have bought? Consumption/spending is always between 'needs' and 'wants'. Defer your consumption, after some time, you'd find you were right - no needs and no wants. Once bought - already history, don't compare. No u-turn allowed. When younger, i liked Ikea's original pine - colour fades fast and now felt the wood has 'hollow' feel. Now I love solid teak's natural color and the feel without nails, Scanteak - but i don't like those sharp corners. Tastes change. -

Wow, very hardworking. No free lunch. Don't conclude anything before delivery, and after the rain showers follow with sun shines. I said before, IDs' quotes are 'copies from the same book'. Soup change, ingredients remain unchanged. Color here a bit shade there a bit, talk here a little, twist there a bit...pictures look different. Personally, i prefer 'gong gong' IDs, who don't 'color' things. -

Best, aircon system (trunking) comes in b4 false ceiling. If trunking is against the wall, then there should have no issue....cosmetic issue or maintenance access issue more important? -

Water Sipped Through Tempered Glass Shower Screen
bepgof replied to crazytiger's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Swing-in door? Swing-out door? Sliding door? Glass sitting onto kerb? A 'good' design should be 'swing-in' door, glass 'inside' kerb, not 'on top of kerb'. Showering, door gets wet, if swings out, floor get wet. If glass on top of kerb, whether slide/swing in/out, sooner or later, 'water leakage' appears. Good luck to you. -
Ideas Needed Living Room Wall Facing Main Door
bepgof replied to MrWhiteKnight's topic in Living, Dining & Storage
A very personal choice decision-making.....no point look for so many IDs, the ideas have to come your owner, else a 'home' is not a 'home'. IF I WERE YOU, and if situations allowed, I'll make a 'live plant wall' as east window draws in sunlight (hope window not blocked). Anyway, you need knowledge/skill/experience in maintaining on-going, proper drainage .....assure you...very 'fulfilling'... You'll never get 'tired' of this wall.... https://www.google.com.sg/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8#q=plant%20wall%20images -
After that got 'easy to huat'? 28 or 2.8 deg ? https://www.google.com.sg/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8#q=tilted+door+images One degree tilting already very 'jialat'. Perhaps residential door design should follow that of air-bridge's, can tilt at any angle till you 'huat huat huat' or 'can't recognise own home'? https://www.google.com.sg/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8#q=air%20bridge%20images

Don't 'hope', do it. What you really need to do is to plan/act/ensure your pockets par par for days/weeks/years ahead. Clear mortgage loan by 45-50 yo, then go holidays. Start considering buying life/investment/medical/hospitalisation insurances, as you start to have 'dependence' who depend on you. Human nature has 'fears within' and 'submit' to common current norms/rituals for community recognition, and ppls do face pressure from peers or seniors for behavioural compliance under certain situations, like moving house. The first house of your own doesn't come simple & easy, do something making it 'memorable in life' that catch your heart, than merely doing 'what ppls done that meant to them'. Do something 'you meant to do'. Those whatever procedures deal with 'cleansing' with different races/religions/cultures - different ppls hold different meanings. I need only to cleanse myself!

Need Advice: Hdb Bto Open Terrace "covering"
bepgof replied to binka's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
HDB has plenty of time, you don't. Get a Penthouse, do what MCST bylaws allow. Get a landed, confine to BCA/URA regulations..... Be constructive = fit to environment -
Some takes pineapple as bowling ball then 'Roll' and shout 'Huat ah'. Seow right? Some takes raw rice with salt, put this corner a bit, that corner a bit - fishing? Placing FDs into various banks? Some burns incense paper as if borrower O$P$ to invisible 'ah long'. Some asks some KK picking 'asupicious' day open door/window. Backside itchy. Me leh, 'open ceremony' by taking some cardboard & copi, slept there one night or two, enjoy great sense of achievement b4 anything.

Head 'drips' over time cos of valve mechanical slight misalignment. Valve is the 'heart' of the whole tap. Some 'heart' can be replaced while some not. I prefer replacing whole tap head these days...... Water pressure plays a part too. Low pressure (during rush hour), it drips. One way i 'discovered' - off the hander in a 'fast & quick' manner helps.

I've removed various kind of tap heads, intended to repair, eventually ended up whole set replacement. Your turn now.
