No human being is able to know 'future', supernatural forces otherwise. Bazi involves no supernatural forces. It is basically a 'model' integrated with some theories and 'procedures'. Theory is a structure designed to explain the underlying cause and effect relationship in a given situation, through PAST set of observations. Examples: Yin Yang, WuXing, are theories. Theories explain WHY. Model is a representation designed to understand the main WORKING concepts of theories. It often involves 'procedure' , or 'calculation'. Model explains 'how to'. Bazi, ZWDX....etc are models. Note: The 10 heavenly system and 12 earthly branch 'system', has evolved from purely a numerical system invented by the Chinese, to a 'model' with many subjected values attached to it. These values include 'directions', 'metal, wood, water, fire, earth', '12 animals', 'YY', ...etc We, human, 'know' things through 'learning' by all MEANS - book, tv, radio, coffee shop hear and take, told....etc. Symbolic (culture, friendship....intangible), relation (power distribution, politic, behaviour, interaction between ....), techno-structure ( systems, task, process....)approaches.... Bazi applies techno-structure approach as frame-work, block by block and piece by piece. It aslo applies 'interaction' part for 'relationship' calculation. And also symbolic approach (the 'values' attached to branch/earth...etc). The big issue is the 'input' method. GIGO. Garbage IN garbage OUT. It also bases on an important yet could be misleading underlying ASSUMPTION concept of 'future trends' will be repeated same as the past. 'Things won't change over time?' - each of each know the answers. Things change so do values (like culture, rituals), meaning of words and many. I can make an academic 'research' report concluding that bazi can't tell future. So don't use it as a tool for planning. Use more 'sensible' and reliable data & information as inputs for planning - do take note the change 'patterns' of past data/info toward present and future, over same subject. Also, beside the techno-structure, don't ignore the other 2 approaches I mentioned, they do exist though hands can't touch, but can be felt. Most importantly, they CHANGE things.

Talk is super easy, 'satisfactory' application is super difficult. In real life, every situations are versatile and dynamic. If situation involves human then it will be 'more dynamic' - human behaviours are very unpredictable. FS Model examples: Bazi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, XKFX, So many these evolves frequently......why? - Model is mixtures of theories and involve 'calculation' and procedures. Everyone can simple come out any calculation and procedures and proclaims it a model! The main concerns are how accurate at end of procedures and calculation, that is basically all readers ask. However, readers should ask further : What "components" are involved in the procedures/calculation and if such mixture of theories and components able painting an actual unique individual picture of PAST and FUTURE , or just a 'GENERAL' picture that applicable to everyone, to certain extend? Just my opinion, by looking at 'components' selection procedure alone for each models above, make me laugh. Not mentioning the calculation (the reverse engineering technique + future estimation technique). Ok, Bazi & ZWDS deal with one's destiny, while XKFX deals with 'residential property' selection. An analogy here about calculation of present and future value of money. FV=PV (1+r) to the power of n. FV=Future value PV=present value r= interest rate in the future, period n n=period, in term of year We can calculate FV of, say $100 which worth now, 10 years later, with interest rate of 10% FV=$259.4. Meaning the pv of $100 worth $259.4 10 years later with interest rate of 10%. You see, from above simple 'analogy',- we need to know input components like : 1. Next 10 years 2. Interest rate = 10% for whole 10 years period 3. Present value of entity now. Do you know your worth/situation now? (Models take DOB - Bazi & ZWDS. Direction & time - XKFX) Do you think your life destiny (past & future) just governed by a single factor, r? What are the right 'factorsssss' and their respective weightage to the end result at a particular point of time? Can you really assure r is "fixed" at 10% for next 10 years? This "ESTIMATION' is always the fundament issue to all models. No one knows WHAT exactly will be happened tomorrow, but based on assumptions that it will be the same as the past + some variations! Do model able to tell 'WHAT' - snapshort, at a particular past and future point of time? My little brain tells these models can 'listen' and 'see'. Don't believe and act to models' explanation: Wrong inputs selection, wrong interpretation calculation, wrong model assumptions - cost your life!
