  1. or just install a prototype for show only lor... cannot use one. like those in showrooms.
  2. yah.. G is good enough. unless cannot cover the area u intend to cover or u intend to do a lot of internal transfer, then no need to go N. save quite a bit of $$ also if staying with G.
  3. adsl modem built in, models will be quite limited so u need to have a look around. abt the coverage, hard to say. depends a lot on where you intend to place your wireless router. there is a chance a wireless G is able to cover the whole unit, that's the case for my parent's place. best if you can test it out. yah, backward compatible. by default the wireless n router should work in a/b/g/n mode unless you specifically set it to n-only mode. problem for wireless b is that u cannot use wpa encryption in your N or G router, only wep is supported which is easily crackable.
  4. there's a few ways to do it assuming u are not using the mio modem/router from singtel. if you want a setup a wireless environment, buy a wireless router and then plug the adsl modem to wireless router. after which all your pc/laptops can connect wireless-ly to access the internet, provided they are in range. or you can get a wireless router with the adsl modem built in. this way, you don't need your adsl modem anymore. get a N router if you want to have better coverage. my preference is linksys or dlink.
  5. ok lah. good for those budget contraint.. i have a number of frens, installed a hood, in the end nv use.
  6. then why not get those slim type? cheaper also.
  7. if u are getting a windows pc/laptop, go for windows 7. if you've used vista before, 7 will run a lot smoother.
  8. there is this shop, http://www.mirrormadeforu.com/ I never used them before, just happened to pass by their shop. maybe u can try.
  9. how to check? if they dun want to disclose, there's no way to find out till something happens.
  10. that is because the data is for resale transactions roughly about 3 months ago. you'll see the data for the market now only in the 4th quarter report.
  11. for my case (resale), cov paid in cheque to hdb. receipt was given. i paid on the day of my 1st appointment but there is a 10-day allowance after the 1st appointment for me to make the payment if i choose to. as for the exercise fee, my agent wrote down the cheque numbers on the OTP for the deposit and exercise fee. also the purpose of the cheque behind the cheque.
  12. if i am not wrong, most of the units in the block are 3 room units. the 2 corner units will be 4 room. that's why after the MUP, the 4 rooms also have an extra utility room.
  13. hi guys, requested for a quote from jason and got it after 2 weeks. would like to check with those who have signed up with him. normally how much discounts does he give off the 1st quote? thanks

  16. where did u get your laminate flooring from? can share the contact? robina is made in malaysia right?
  17. i was at their showroom at eunos yesterday. tons of colourful chairs.
  18. Thanks for the reply. Actually his carpentry and some other services, the prices are all right. But the demolishing and hacking fees are a lot higher compared to my other quotes. Demolishing and hacking should be straight forward so shouldn't be of much different. 1st time I see a quote, I will get a shock. Hehe Anyway, I've emailed him my feedback. See what he reply then maybe meet up to clear things up.
  19. really disturbed to read about your experience. can you pm me your id firm? hope you'll have a smoother progress from now on.
  20. well, that depends on the OS that the TV uses for you to surf. I believe most of the time it should be some form of Linux so should be safe. Unless they manage to fit a windows OS inside the TV then the virus problem will come.
  21. no point racing also... just sit back and enjoy your tv.
