hey what's wrong with taking some nice wedding pics for memory's sake? just that i disagree with spending an excess amount on it well u can still take up photography-only package if there is no wedding dinner. this kind of package is quite affordable... my friends (a couple that work as designers) really had their wedding photos taken in some construction sites with containers in background. the photos look great!

i know many forumers use those melamine cleaning sponge for Daiso to clean grouting. maybe you can try, probably no soap scum for this..... and perhaps, perhaps, after a few weeks, you will stop cleaning it daily....................... wahahahahhaha this one is funny but i'd prefer Bondi in his original look cos he definitely looks better than Hello Kitty!

it's okie ba... we often turn many reno blogs into something else.............. nah, nowadays banquets don't really earn, cos banquet prices have increased SO MUCH over the years but not the ang pao money~ no inflation nia! and i heard about this newspaper/magazine paper thing before. so scary! just btw, not sure where you heard this "HK style" of opening red packets from. i have attended enough weddings in HK but i have never heard about this in my whole life! Vietnamese bride??? i'd never have thought of that!!

i supposed there will be a sea of replies responding to her letter in the next few days..... KBW already made it clear that while he is studying the possibility of BTO in mature estates, it will be impossible for many of the areas as they are already heavily built up. she is really sleeping and dreaming

as of last time i checked, Lei Gardens at Chijmas can only have maximum 3 tables, but that's before their reno last yr, not sure about now the ambience at Chijmas is good... very nice and cosy

my parents are actually quite opened about going without banquet, but mom gently reminded that "we should still have a nice dinner with close relatives and friends". after counting, their "close relatives and friends" already made up 8 tables, so we might as well have a wedding banquet~ but i know of friends who were "forced" to have a banquet and have to cough out additional money cos the parents are not going give ang pao money from their friends back to their children (easily a few thousand bucks!). one friend almost cried when she talked about this additional financial stress on her

my cousin is married to a Dane. they had a seaside buffet dinner (with space for "dancing floor" ), and just took some photos around the hotel where they had the dinner. i guess pre-wedding photoshoot is quite an Asian thing? i believe there are plenty of pple who would be happy to forego the wedding banquet if not for the parents.........

friend you forgot to put in the photo.... you mean there is a gap between the cabinet and the cabinet base with tile finish?

nah, everyone in HK knows this guy is a cheat. he just lost a very high profile law suit in getting $$ from Nina Wong's inheritance. UOB probably knows that very soon he has no money to pay for the monthly installment, no need to waste effort to sue him btw just fyi, it's not true that fS is entrenched in every HK-er's life. i am not and most of my friends are not but somehow i found many SGreans have this perception. those TV stars do not represent the mentality of common pple there

thanks for the info.... d.a.r.n i missed the PC show (again!) must make sure it's loud enough for both the occupants and the visitors outside~

oh ya think most top up in the range of 2~3k... 1k only enough for ~12 photos another choice is go to JB bridal shop... same price but in Ringgit.... LOL nowadays the cheapest package i have heard is $2688~2788. pple typically pay about 2k to get all the unedited softcopies. it's still the same... the shop will still try to persuade you to pay as much as possible... your negotiation of 1 hr is considered quite good liao. i know of pple who negotiated over repeated visits to the shop to achieve the same result our strategy is to choose only 1~3 photos from the same background... one should be able to keep within the package number of photos with this strategy... cos even if you get all the softcopies back, you'd realise a lot of shots look repeated, so no point to pay so much for similar photos

LOC is an Amway product, check their website... my mom has been using this since i was a kid~ their dish washer (called Dish Drops i think) is very good also. long-lost sis, if you really want, do let me know, i'm thinking of asking my colleague to get for me (who does regular purchase from Amway for his household stuff). it used to be MLM only back in the 80s/90s but my colleague said now can buy direct leh (since you can't do MLM in Singapore anyway). i also dunno cos didn't ask in detail LOL

I remembered Gallery Hotel has quite good feedback, got one thread on sgbride forum on it just btw i enquired Park Hotel Clarke Quay before, they have a ROM package that is for 5 tables at a small function room. price wise is quite okie. not sure how good is the food, but at least the hotel is very new and nice (just opened last year) and Part Hotel is an established hotel chain niah~ i have quite a numbe ofr friends with Bliss. good and practical choice Thank God your sis is well~ sounds very serious leh!!! it's the dust ba... i thought those corners that are not so dusty do appear glossy to me~ was just talking with hubby that in our next reno (dunno when? ) we can have blue tiles for the backsplash, like those Ikea show kitchen...

hey haven't talked to you for so long~ i was also busy too *sob* like what bro Topspin said, Borax doesn't totally eliminate the problem, it can just help to length the mold cleaning interval i've tested for a month so far. mold came out on outside of the shoe cabinet after ~ 3 weeks instead of a few days. but for wardrobe, improvement is not so significant (from ~ 2 weeks to now ~3 weeks).

my problem is that i have very sweaty palm, so it's not the problem of getting used to touch screen.... the screen can't sense my finger as it is wet aiyooooooo oh man! tell me about it.... sis May_dream knows my battle with my moldy house well just wipe no use one... need to use bleach or some other methods... do a search on mould/mold in RT and read all the threads... there is a wealth of knowledge in there. and i think the location of your wardrobe could also be a factor... is it near some moisture source? like my home... ikea study table got mold, but the exact same table at my sis' place is okie.... my home is more humid than my sis place. sigh. wiping mold has become my bi-weekly/monthly rituals *cry*
