  1. oh... that time sam said can last around 9 months. haha.. kk, i will sms you soon. remember the special rate for me hor.
  2. hmmm.. you mean "this contractor" is yourself? your forum nick "tanhs" is similar to "the contractor" email.
  3. hi aron, how often should we get our air-con serviced? i have been using them almost daily for the past 8 months since move in. =) please advice.
  4. i think these toilet small flies are attracted to water puddles in your bathroom. maybe u can try to wipe dry all wet spots before u leave ur bathroom after each use for the next 1 week. see whether the situation will improve. if not, there could be possibility of water blockage underneath ur floor trap.
  5. waaa...very expensive... i suggest u do more homework on ur ID /contractors research...
  6. nice window grilles and door. how much he charges for one veneer door?
  7. i think your 3k is made up of good branded items like Grohe mixer and etc? 一分钱;一份货。 So, probably ur 3k accessories will last you longer than those less than $1k accessorices of China brands. don't worry too much.
  8. Hi all, I realised i have not really given SDS a good write-up for his good work on my reno few months back. Here it goes: Our 8 weeks of renovation work has finally completed.. Although the journey was a bumpy one as we have expected, we are definitely delighted with the overall work which is completed on time with reasonable standard. We can't let another day go by without thanking you sincerely for your prompt and attentive service, especially during the post renovation rectification work which we have encountered now and then. You have always been upfront, honest and open in your advice and quotation to us, which is the key consideration to us as we chose to work with you after our first meeting. Service like yours is rare in this business these days, and we do not want our appreciation to go unstated. Therefore, thank you so much for going to such great lengths to make sure that our renovation was valued for our needs and thoughtful to our budget. You can be certain that I will continue to patronize Summit Design Studio for all future home renovation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- Although we have moved in for over 8 months now, I am really glad that SDS has been very responsive to my watapps messages when i need his help at those minor post reno thnigs (i.e. wall paint touch up, door frame paint touch up, plumbing work and etc). i realised the biggest value that he has to his customer is his fantastic "after-sales" service, which many of us will realise the significance when we actually move into our new place. 2 thumbs up for SDS!

  10. all my stainless steel items from ikea are rusting after moving in 9 months ago... but i was expecting it, especially it's from ikea...
  11. i wonder how many air-con units i need to install in mbr itself make the room cold, especially with such a big lobang for the cold air to escape...
  12. i did a simple one already $300 for just a height of 1.5 metre. ID quoted me around $900 for full height from floor to ceiling. But my quoted material is simple cushion only. From the way i look at your bedhead design, waaaa got crystal and liners. Black mirrors somemore. Tt's why so expensive. But $4500 for the whole thing? To me it's just too expensive. I will probably considering it if it's $2500 max.
  13. can i ask if the foreign workers still crowd ard the void deck and multi-storey carpark during friday, sat and sunday nights? last heard from agent that the town council is working on it to resolve the crowd issue around the void deck and roads. but i just could not forget the images in my mind and the experience of driving thru them during my house hunting last year...
  14. not sure ur long is how long. mine is 8 ft 1 piece. the only joining piece is for the L-shaped corner.
  15. wanna comment that the pozzi brand shower mixer and kitchen sink tap that i bought from One-Stop are very lousy. water flow is pathetic, especially the shower mixer, which result in very small water power for the shower spray.
  16. with all due respect, i think he is asking advice on how to reach out to his potential customers and etc... And not asking about the motherhood attributes which i believe he knows much better than most of us here since he has already taken the first big step in taking up the course. =)
  17. hi bro, can share ur contractor /ID contact for ur reno? ur inbox is full.

  18. i bought the toshiba GR-R66SDAZ model from EverJoint @ AMK in Jan'11 this year. last week, i realised the white plastic trim holding the tempered glass panels were cracked at the corners. 3 panels were affected. I dunno the reason. Anyone experienced this? Not sure if the temperature we set too cold. anyway, i just called the warranty hotline and the technicians will come down this friday to check. Update u guys again.
  19. hi bro, ur inbox full. wanna ask u any comments on leef deco reno work? thanks.

  20. i bought a small portable one (like a size of a mini fridge) from NTUC, which need to put ice cubes into a tray so that the air from blower will be cooling. i must say it's a waste of $$$. unless u r referring to those big heavy duty (like a big kitchen fridge size) one which i have seen a lot of shopping using in China (Guangzhou & Shen Zhen), they are very powerful and colling. but i dunno how much it costs in SG here. and the electricity consumption is also scary. by the way, off topic a while, did u engage Leef Deco for your reno? i couldn't find ur t-blog. my brother & sis-in-law is about to sign with them, and i wish to find out more about the reno work. If not convenient to share here, you can PM me. Many thanks.
  21. i stayed in kovan for a year. bravat is the last brand i will go for. mixer leaking. mixer knob lose and few came off. shower spray leaking.
  22. hi gimz, unfortunately no. if i leave the bank, my loan will be converted to the bank commercial rate which i think lingers ard 1.5% to 2%.
  23. hi, i think it's perfectly fine to have L-box with clove light around the perimeter of the room (i.e. living room), follow by a ceiling fan at the centre. i did that for my living room and 3 bedrooms. they look good. =) my t-blog posting on the above topic
  24. heyy skyline, congrats for ur reno completion (i presume u 25-jul-11 is the HO date). hope to see more completed pictures from you. did u go down to SDS open house 2 weeks ago? my family went down at ard 7 plus pm.
  25. haha, yea... i very kpo in family & friends' reno now. so just help them document their journey. my own house is ok. time flies, and we have been staying there for 6 months already. fortunately all things are still in tact. nothing much to add on to the house le, if not my wife will nag me for buying rubbishs again. =) how bout urs? i always remember u having a ultra BIG wardrobe and bed. haha
