I think it could be customised by some shops but not sure where.

Wow that looks really bad. But would u mind sharing how much you paid for the sofa which is featured in your photograph? And are there any warranty given for the sofa? It looks like PU, not leather as the material looks really too thin to be leather.

Need Help: Where To Find Good Range Of Bedside Tables
edenstrauss replied to JazzPer's topic in Home Furnishings
U could try IKEA if compressed wood is acceptable to you. I came across one really beautiful white bedside table which I would like to have if I've got the space for it. Otherwise, u could try littlewode at Wingtai building in tampines. Theirs is made of rubber wood (definitely solid wood but are rubber trees that don't produce anymore latex) which is supposedly eco-friendly. -
If HDB permits the usage of hollow block, I think u should consider it.

I noticed that Lillian Too's WOFS.com boutique carries pixiu too. But it seems like both versions in her store are meant for the same purpose.

I came across Lillian Too's video clip for Astrology 2011 on You-Tube and it's very interesting when she touched on how Malaysia had the dragon's eyes and pearl whereas Singapore had the dragon. And that Mahathia had created the dragon eyes & pearl without any fengshui knowledge. She even suggested merging both Singapore and Malaysia, which was what MM Lee had suggested himself before! Check out this clip : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Zs1KBWQbb0&NR=1 So this thread should be used as a cross reference with the earlier topic that says "Mm Lee: Fengshui Is 'utter Rubbish'" Enjoy watching the clip!

So what did the medium say about pixiu? That they are moving among humans?
-
Actually, I didn't mean any negative connotation when I call them celestial beasts. Celestial means heavenly... so because they are ferocious creatures so I classified them as "beasts"... Like Beauty & the Beast who has a heart of gold even though he had a very fierce appearance Wow I didn't know that they can be seen around us... but do u have any idea what they do around us? Do they speak human language? And is it good or bad when they move around us humans? I thought that they belong to another world totally where the deities are... or the world of naga. Didn't know that they could move around us humans

Based on what u've mentioned about mediums, I assume that the medium who enshrined your deities is a taoist. U might want to consider consulting the taoists priests from the following reputable Taoist temple here in Singapore: Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple No 15 Arumugam Road Singapore 409960 tel: 6-744-3187 website: www.shtemple.org.sg I've PM-ed you other important details. Please check your mailbox. Best wishes.

Pixiu looks really fierce to me. They are celestial beasts. I've ever seen 4 pixius guarding the entrance of a shop that sells jade at waterloo street. Both my sister & myself got so scared of those 4 guardian angels that we decided not to go into the shop or even walk past it. Just saw it from the corner of our eyes & "siam" really fast. Can feel the "sha-qi" even just by looking at them from a distance. And what bepgof observed about pixiu is true; evolving to be really cute miniature animals. I just thought that it might be catered just for us folks who are scared of the larger versions?

U can call up Fatt Chan Metal Industries to check with them if they are interested in taking up the assignment of changing locks for window grilles. If u r good at handiwork, u could infact buy the right type of lock & get it changed on your own. (I'm assuming it's the crescent shaped type of lock)

Hi Reno23, U could get your floor plan scanned & downloaded using imageshack.com. Aside to mae29, please do share your insights & thoughts on the fengshui consequences of the following actions (and any other issues which r relevant becox it sounds very interesting): a) leaving doors opened b) distance b/w flats & lift I didn't know that these factors would mean "competition" for fengshui b/w neighbours! Incidentally, I am putting up in a flat where there's only 2 units at my floor. Those neighbours staying diagonally across from mine would leave their doors open almost 24 by 7 (even when there is nobody at home). But after we tilted our gate, they stopped doing that and would open their doors only when they r at home and close the door when they retire for the night.

Would u be able to seek advice & consult the temple that enshrine those deities for you the very first time when you placed them on your altar? Are your deities enshrined by in the Buddhist or Taoist methods?

This is a chinese new year decorative object or something symbolic that u can hang in your house even throughout the year. Those rich people in the ancient times used to have such nice decorative stuff that's symbolic in their homes. Just hang it up on your wall at home.

Hi bepgof, I also agree with muffin on point #4 But the best option from my perspective is that if you do not know much about how to utilise such fengshui figurines, then it might be good to do without it. Not sure what will be implications later on. My dad has pixiu facing his main entrance too. But I recalled they have 4 horns or maybe it's 2 horns with some decorative details. Duno lah...

Hi muffin, the mortgage loan is generally a huge amount. We followed the 30 year maximum repayment period so we had first hand experience in dealing with a hefty loan... If u could, better try to finish off paying ASAP. Unless u r expecting a huge lump sum cash coming from a lucrative investment that allows u to pay off ALL at one go in the near future. But the longer u drag, the more funds go into paying off the accrued interests. This scenario here doesn't apply to those seniors from the older generation like my parents & aunts, uncles. They bought their flats at maybe $15k - $100k during those days; can easily clear and still earn tonnes of money when they sell off their flats.

Full Length Mirror Placed On Wall Behind Door
edenstrauss replied to edenstrauss's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Hi mae29 thanks for sharing & offering such valuable advice. What u've mentioned triggered off what happened 10 years ago when I first had my flat audited by my taiwanese geomencer. He made me bring down & relocate my mirror in the MBR becox I placed it facing the mirror. In other words, manifesting the supposedly bad energy that flows out of the toilet. Maybe I was such a vainpot becox I was looking at my own face & fiddling with my hair while sitting on the toilet bowl & leaving the toilet door open! -
It depends on how deeply u sink into your sofa too... Go for what you're comfortable with becox at the end of the day, you will be the one watching the TV.
-
If you could stretch your purse strings, try to work towards reducing the principle amount ASAP, i.e. within the shortest period of time. Otherwise, the accrued interest could end up becoming a killer (or already is for some of us)... becox the principle amount would just roll over with interest. And so much CPF $$ & cash is applicable goes into paying off the accrued interest. So the lower the loan amount and the higher the monthly repayments, the better it is

Hmmm, there might be a very high chance that the toilet bowls & basin just might be "recycled"... Acceptable for those who doesn't mind their history...

Full Length Mirror Placed On Wall Behind Door
edenstrauss replied to edenstrauss's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Hi muffin, thanks -
Due to space constraints in my bedroom, I've got difficulty placing a full length mirror without facing it when I sleep in bed. However, I would still like to have a full length mirror placed on the wall. For the purpose of looking at myself after dressing up. But if I were to install a full length mirror on the wall which is directly behind my bedroom door, would there be any adverse fengshui effects? Psychologically, it felt wierd because it's akin to hiding behind the bedroom door and looking at oneself... "sneaky" sort of disposition.

Flying Star Location In Storeroom Or Bedroom
edenstrauss replied to Z_Dash's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
Hi my friend, He has a mini handbook at half the size of A4 paper, which is filled with all these readings on stars & interpretations of directional fengshui for homes in 2011. And of course, he introduces his fengshui products as "cures" in that handbook. So like what u have mentioned, extremely commercialised & so good at making $$. I came across this book & a few others at my parents' place becox both of them swear by tan khoon yong only. My dad is crazy about inviting the God of Wealth every year and he had been doing so based on tan khoon yong's advice written in his annual publications.
