  4. Hi Bro, When I was reading your post. It seems like we type it ourselves. Haha We went thru 7 BTO and gotten nothing at all. The waterway was the last straw and after that we decide to go for resale. We managed to find a EM in Pasir Ris as going thru the same process now. I am sure your renovation will be beautiful. Do keep updating the blog. Looking forward to your dream house update.
  5. Hi all, woo hoo we have finally gotten the keys of our EM. been looking for a house since Jan 2010. After a search of 1 over year. we finally gotten our own sweet place. Renovation is next..... another long and painful process.
  6. i redid mine 1 week after the announcement. it increase by 10k. however the original one was done 2 months ago. And in the past 2 months there are relatively high transaction in the block. So i recommend you to study the trend of resale in your block to see if ur valuation is reasonable. Anyway its juz a bet of $180. I will say just do it and see how it works out.

  8. Hi bro, i agree with what you are saying. I think at the end of the day, its something that we cannot save on. Better to go thru a proper FSM before we do things wrong. My keys will only come next year as we postponed the 1st appointment until Dec. Meanwhile, trying to find more knowledge before we go to the FSM. I am a little skeptical and careful when it comes to "professional" such as car salesman, housing agents and so on. Before I OTP my this unit at Pasir Ris, optioned for a unit at Punggol. During the viewing done by my gf, the agent says, good unit, good proper family not near rubbish chute so we paid 1k. But during the 2nd viewing, my mother found a lot of problem with the unit. 1) MBR window beside the Rubbish Chute 2) Electrical Room below the unit 3) 5 years old house but only 1 owner. In the end, we forfeited the amount and the attitude of the agent changed quite drastically. A little scare of such things. So try to learn as much as I can before we approach a real master. Hopefully can understand more.
  9. Generally, the valuation should not have gone down yet. Actually i was looking at the HDB webby for the resale prices up to Sep 15, some rich bugger purchased a unit at my block for 556k, the few units before him was only 480-490. So technically, the valuation should still go up unless as what you say, the valuers "follow" the new HDB directions.

  11. Hi all, Here is a question that i am facing, like to seek your advice on what you think. My unit facing is 207deg which is suppose to be facing south west. Regarding plotting of the fengshui pie chart unto the house. Should i align both the pie chart and house floor plan to magnetic north? or should I align the floor plan to magnetic north but keep the pie chart align with the south west facing the house facing.

  13. I am a 1st Timer but after 4 times of BTO, we kinda give up. Initially the plan was to purchase a small 3 room while we wait for the BTO. However the new rule made us have no choice but to get resale straight.
  14. we also Option on the day of the announcement. However after thinking hard. decide to go for it. The owner is sincere and we like the layout. Been the best we seen in like 15 units. Not sure if we can find better ones in the future. You think about it. think 34k is still not a ridiculous amount.
  15. its not impossible. Try to find that that is about 10-15k COV. but the valuation is done 2 months ago. 2nd floor ones. then once u option. Get a revalue. If you are lucky u may not have to pay any COV.

  17. RB, gratz to getting a home u like. i think u got a pretty good deal. the location is the best in Tampines and price would stay high for that location. i seen a few units at 127, 126 too but didnt take thwm due to high valuation for 2nd floor, 560k + 60k...
  18. Regarding 天地人, i heard about another school which says 天 - this is the life that you are born with (8 zi) which is quite fixed 地 - Feng Shui 人 - The person own karma and hardwork in this life. If a person has a good 天 and 地 but do a lot of bad karma, their fortune and good luck may drop after a while.

Credits back to geomancy.net new house take key Not sure if it is allowed to post. hope this is useful to all who are opening their new house door after taking over the keys Initial Opening of Door for the first time Procedure: 1) Door open by facilitator - ALL call out " PING AN FA CHAI ", then throw in PINEAPPLE (x1 pcs); then facilitator hand over the keys. 2) Prepare RICE and GREEN BEANS - Husband & wife (no outsiders except for own or family members can be around) to sprinkle ALL over the house Mix the rice and green beans together. (Leave a "cup-full" of green beans - for later placement at the living room area). During this procedure, make sure that no outsiders are inside the home. For example, if it is a condo, the condo facilitator must leave the apartment. Own family members can remain eg. parents). The purpose is to "sow" wealth into the apartment. Thus, it is not a matter of sprinkly lots of rice/beans but rather, try to sprinkle all over the apartment inclusive of the toilets/yard. .......
  20. Hi CoffeeMan, Yeah, kitchen should not be under toilet and also cannot be beside toilet or basin. Thinking of knocking off the wall in the Study room to shift the kitchen nearer to that corner. But at the same time, that will make the 2nd bed room not suitable for staying as sleeping above the stove will make the person moody and hot tempered. Feng Shui is so interesting

Trying to understand more about it myself. hi edenstrauss You wanna show your floor plan? I learn something about the centre of the house and a toilet should not be there. But many new "condo" layout hdb have 2 toilet at the centre of the house
  22. Hi All, I hear from some people that the Feng Shui of HDB EM is not good generally in Singapore. Is that true? Have you all heard anything about it? I remember reading that the place where most light enter the house may be the mouth of the house. For my case, since the main door and windows along the corridor is always closed, can we say that the mouth of the house is at the balcony/living room side?
