  1. Hi, you can add the ["IMG"] tag before the link and the ["/IMG"] tag after the link so that the image automatically shows up. (Remove the inverted commas) Btw, your place is at the newer clementi flats opposite NTUC?
  2. Just to share, according to my ID, cannot use actual bricks for brick wall within a HDB flat, cuz it is too heavy, won't be approved by HDB.
  3. The prices should be exclusive of installation. I bought my fans at a similar price from another neighbourhood electrical shop without installation.
  4. After informing Supreme of the wrong flooring, within 4 hours they are back to remove the flooring and make good what they have done wrong. Gotta praise them for their promptness!! And boy do they work fast!! Within 8 min all the skirting is gone!!
  5. Writing directly from the flat now. The place is a hive of activity with the wet works ppl here doing correction, window ppl installing windows (duh), electricians installing lighting fixtures, GC Ppl installing air con! Laminates are done but guess what, they are wrong!!! They mixed up the laminates in the rooms and the living area!!!
  6. Our ID told us yesterday that he is targetting to hand over our house to us by 15 September. The only problem is, our dining lights will only be dispatched from the retailer on 16 September! So we will be without dining lights for prob 2 weeks! Will prob also have to get (ie. pay) someone to help us install the lamps. Another shock from yesterday was my vanity light arrived at vpost yesterday and I got slapped with a astronomical shipping cost, as volumetric weight is >10kg. End up the lamp is not that cheap after all... but bo pian, cuz the Singapore seller does not have it in the colour I want.
  7. Purchased mine during the expo sales of one of the major brands. Quite worth it. Bought the rest at Kong Tai in Jurong West. Very reasonable prices, and they allow multiple deliveries as well. Comex this weekend should be a good time to get the HTS, TVs, Sound bar etc.
  8. What type of sofa are you looking for? Budget?
  9. Looks like you have a lot of carpentry... quite expensive right?
  10. Juz wondering... Is Maximum Credit better/cheaper than Kong Tai?? I bought my things from Kong Tai...
  11. Hi there, you can check it out in Million Lighting in Park Mall. Do scout online as well as prices in Singapore tend to be inflated.
  12. I was juz reading back and noted that you were still looking for tmyour pendant light. You found it yet? If not, Motto has something quite similar, not exactly the saame shape, but same with black powder coated aluminum like what your ID designed. The lighting shop above macs in the Shaw Plaza in Balestier also has something similar.
  13. The last time we were watching election results 3 months ago, we were in our Goodwood Park Hotel hotel suite after our wedding banquet. So watching election results again today on CNA is kinda Deja vu. While waiting for the returning officer, here are some updates. I think we have seen most changes in the flat this week in the entire renovations! - Toilets, showers and the sink in the toilets have been fixed! Love the toilets! tested the showers as well and happy to report water pressure is v good! - halfway through the painting. Love the colours we eventually chosen. - cement screed is up! - laminates are in and will be done next week. Finally things are moving faster!
  14. Not bad! I like your white kitchen! The blue wall in your room - what colour is it? Very bright and cheery. Think v close to what we chose as well!
  15. Yes, Singapore Customs charges GST based on the CIF (CIF = something can't rem what, insurance and freight) value. If the invoice value of goods does not include insurance and freight charges, the postage charge paid for the goods is to be taken as freight and insurance charges, and is to be added to the invoice value of such invoice for calculation of GST payable.
  16. What style are you looking for? I actually like the tables and bookshelves in Scanteak. Can also consider Bludot, which is available locally in Pomelo. http://www.bludot.com/
  17. Wah, be careful, don't fall off the bed! You'll fall from pretty high! I also bought from Royal Fanco! One of the best prices around and Henry is so friendly! Even delivered personally.
  18. Adidaem, you using high end TOTO and Grohe bought at shops like Water Atelier leh, with designer discount, the savings are substantial. We are using the cheaper ones, designer discounts won't work in shops like Royal Fanco where the better deals are found, cuz they are already giving us a good price, and even with designer discount (if they accept in the 1st place) the savings are minimal.
  19. I am not with ArtistRoom, but just to share... Tiles, the ID will def bring you to see. For tiles because the ID will know the amount of tiles to get etc, this one have to let the ID settle. I dun recommend to go with the ID for furniture or toilet fittings selection. Yes, it seems like you get a better price, but likely the ID also get a commission for bringing their clients to their recommended shops. Best is to settle all these yourselves.
  20. As quoted from the acticle... Loosely translated, "When replying to Wanbao's query, HDB said that the grills in HDB balconies must be consistent and syncronised." Seriously, do you see this in the normal HDB flats? Go look at the EMs and EAs with big balconies, how many of them have a consistent window grils? Not to mention Parc Lumiere is a DBSS - is HDB applying different rules to DBSS? Maybe they are, but that I don't know, cuz I didn't buy a DBSS, but I've seen invisible grills in City View @ Boon Keng as well.
  21. HDB's issues seems to be that Legate is not an approved contractor. Legate no longer have a monopoly in invisible grills. THere are several companies that does this now. No mention on whether the act of installing it is legal or not. But if you really want, you may comb through HDB's regulations on whether it is possible or not. But if ppl can get away with not having grills at all, why is it illegal to have invisible grills? Don't make sense.
  22. Chilli Padi - Peranakan caterer. Used them for my wedding. Love the food. Good stuff.
  23. Yes you can... have seen it in quite a few places.
  24. Oh, Defelio, any pictures of your kitchen too??
  25. Hi Defelio, can you let me know how much your wooden blinds for your living room? Are they custom made? Do u know how much it cost per sqf?
