I had miscalculated. After the L-shaped wall has been erected, I found the study area too cramped. The reduced study was supposedly for my workstation as well as the game station. Now I had to ask the contractor to trim the shorter side of the wall by 30 cm at least.

It has been seven (working) days since renovation works have started and here's the progress so far. The wall near the kitchen entrance has been extended. Tiling for the 2nd level toilets have started and the wall between the kitchen and the study has been erected but ...

If you don't mind me asking - how much was the cost of the electrical work? As for the arrogant ID - at least just give the name of the company - so that reno members can be careful. They don't have any right to curse customers. I went around asking quotation from the so called big companies - but most marked up their price sky-high because of branding. The free gifts are all shams - I did a rough calculation, we actually pay for all these "free gifts" if we were to agree on engaging them. I had the impression these big companies can offer better deal - but ...

It's very simple and the effect is good. Yup - good feeling - because renovation works has finally started but there's anxiety at the same time. There are many uncertainties and things we didn't plan to do or change need to be changed. Sigh ...

Wow - 47K is a steal for jumbo flats. The last time I went round looking for one (just a few months back), COV was ridiculously hover between 60-100K. Congrats!

Hi mae29, thanks for the well-wish. It may look spacious but actually the centre portion is like dead space.

Got the keys yesterday - and most likely hacking is under way now. After really inspecting the house, some good news and some not so good news. There are some things we plan of doing but now need re-thinking. Will post some photos of the house - in its bare state.
