i agree attitude is the most important. For renovations, there will sure be screw ups, defects, rectifications etc. you will need to communicate clearly no matter what. if you cannot work with the guy, how cheap also useless.

i think it shd be okay bah...fengshui is mostly about the house itself. Where you put your dining table shd have little effect on the overall fengshui

jialat sia...to be frank, if I die because of such thing, I sure will come back and haunt the people who dump their stuff there. my experience is in my old house (at outram park, now demolished by govment already). It is the old style flat, with a long straight corridor. Around twenty households side by side. one day, there's a thick smoke coming from downstairs. my mom got scared so she locked up the whole house. That time, I was small, around P2 and very pissed that I cannot go out to play turns out that the furniture on the floor below us catch fire. Luckily, no one got injured. No one was ever caught for putting the furniture there either. Moral of story: please spare a thought for others. don't anyhow put stuff in corridors!!
