Current market most of the new model Plasma or LCD come with at least 2 to 3 HDMI input. Looking at ur case x-box (don have HDMI), Starhub HD Digital Box (Yes, If u are getting it free) and DVD recorder (Yes, most plyer have) so total 3 HDMI cables u require. But u have to check ur Bose Music system whether they do have HDMI input and output if not maybe u can consider to change other HTS (but not Bose sys pls, don get offend.)

U dont have to plug in the Red, White and Yellow cables (Analogue Phono) but do u connect the Digital Coaxial to ur sys??? When u mention LCD got sound is it the DVD sound or only the TV channel sound? Or worst case did u press ur LCD "AV" button.

Hi I am not a pro here but jus share my point of view. 1) U can turn on ur HT whenever u watch ur moive, concert & gaming provided u dont blast ur neighbour's hse. But karaoke I am nt veri sure cos that belong to BMB. (I cant sing) 2) Rear spks sound only when u watch moive or any 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 channel music but still depend on ur source. For me I advise when listerning to music use only ur front spk, turn off the sub, rear and centre spk unless u are playing 5.1 channel music. 3) Yes rear spk is veri useful when u are playing action moive, try "Saving Private Ryan" or "Pearl Harbour" in DTS format u can hear the bullet shoot pass u. 4) ???? Same as the front and centre spk lor. I think those who put their rear infont is mainly due to they didnt plan their cables layout intial and they don wan to fork out extra cash to relay again. It really depend on u whether u are more in moive or music but majority play safe they invest in moive (5.1) cos they also can listern to music if they want.
