really nice view! unblocked. which flr is yr unit on? so good lei, yr 5 rm got balcony and svc balcony, very envy. my one is oso 5 rm, both oso dun have. plus my kitchen is yr kitchen size or smaller oso and i still have to separate the area inside my kitchen with tempered wall glass to make my own svc baloncy. hee, yr mom hinting u she wan to move in and help look after yr kids next time is it? so she buy the bedroom set!

hihi, wat brand, model and size mattress you buy? the shop unit is 3-22? is yr mattress hard, firm or soft? tks! hee.. we went into sealy and simmons shop at imm le. but did not go into the rest. actually i try hor, i just sit on the bed lei. we also don't now how to try beds. even when i try to lie down for a while (1 min), honestly, i don't feel much difference between the beds. the sales person say must lie down maybe 30 mins then can feel the difference, siao, where i will wan to lie down on each bed for 30 mins. me and hubby not scare of pushy sales people but feeling lost more on the price and hardness/firmness/softness of mattress we wan. i tink the softer the more expensive? is tat true? i guess reno is more of we see but bed is we slp on it everyday so very impt. but i hope its not going to be a heavy investment, resources very tight already.

Sealy (number one selling), Simmons (popular among our generation) or King Koil (cheaper) mattress.. Any one have any comments?? I'm having a headache deciding which mattress to buy..

ok, after we move in we organize ons bo? haha, at least u can still eat macdonald can! yr mattress from sealy, is it posturepedic (or something) one? how much? coz i looking for mattress now but all so exp. saw one from sealy posturepedic (i think) at IMM showroom, we think its ok but it $2400 after discount. i wanted to buy from simmons or sealy coz popular brands ma. but all so exp and very broke so i dun noe shld buy king koil anot, its so much cheaper. *headache*

haha, segar downstairs got bbq pit rite? ONS ar, i love bbq. we can do pot luck bbq where everyone bring some items for bbq. so good, tat was my initial budget, now my reno amt is double tat. tat's my only complain abt my reno, e rest all i like but everything i like needs $$$! gg to eat bread n water for the next 10 yrs le.

Inside my tiny kitchen looking out. The walls are gone! Yay~ The top part of the recess wall is being lengthened using the plasterboard or fibreboard or chipson board or wat (i dun noe le) at the top slightly so that can run lights inside. The inner surface of the recess wall will be wallpaper. Chose all the wallpapers design last week. Actually I did not choose la, the ID showed me the 2 that he liked and I fell in love with both of them instantly. Hee..

oriental? i thot that one is call marina mandarin lei. hehe.. shld b la and i hope they are sending their best guy so that if any problem can settle on the spot. u got sound very fierce and angry with them anot? must blow yr top one! ask to speak with their mgr. i got a friend recently order kfc delivery, then delivered 2 hrs later (after she call 3 times) and wrong type of chicken (suppose to be original, they gave her crispy) so she super angry call and wan to speak with mgr, then scold them upside down and they give her free lo. mayb they can give u free 3 mths subsciption for all the hassle. hehe.. its not the main window right so leave it first ba. haha, dun remind me abt cleaning can. i hate housework!

Hubby went new place to look see today. Sanitary arrived and plumbing will be done later (Thursday). Excited that its finally into the painting stage then I wun see those patchy awful walls le. Will go up to take pics and chk out later. More pics soon! Having my exams at 10am, super duper stressed now. Trying to memorise the concepts. Sighs, I hate studying! If only I need not study then I could have spent more time to shop for lightings with hubby and ID whom went themselves. Double sighs!

ya lor, i oso laugh so loud until my hubby tink i mad. i will be home every weekday night before 9pm to watch the show! haven't watch a funny reality drama from media corp for sometime. recently one so far fetched storyline.. why they like that har? i go hold his hand automatically, my hubby still tell me 'ey, yr hand very heavy lei' OR 'ey, hand hot lei, sweating liao'. idiot rite. i tell him, last time u hold my hand to show ppl i'm yrs, then now i auntie liao, u want to dis-associate yrself with me when we go out is it! haha..

My platform living room. the wall and floor are going to be carpeted. Taken during the evening, look at the hot hot hot evening sun coming in. Walkway to bedrooms. Close up of the above. This area is kinda wasted, was troubled by it as its say big not big say small not small kind of area. Will wallpaper that facing wall and ID was suggesting getting a mirror from Ikea to hang it there plus maybe a tall decorating piece to put standing in one corner. Aircon is mounted on that wall as well. Standing in middle of the above area looking towards the bedroom doors. The first door is son's room, second door is my MBR.

was watching the first episode today and totally enjoyed huang biren and zheng binghui's bickering. i tell my hubby that everyone bound to go through the 3 stages that each couple in the drama is facing - newly married, marry long boring and catching mistress! how i wish we can be stuck in the newly married blissful stage. i wonder which party starts to change first in a marriage? i cant remember for mine. but being a woman, i will definitely says its the MAN that change first. coz he nv holds my hand when we go out now lor!

haha, i have no idea but my new common toilet tiles are black also. havent move in yet, still renovating. my ID own home toilet floor tiles r black too, he did warn me says water stains will be obvious. plus i'm using polished types so it wld b slippery too. but look nice is impt to me la so nv tink so much. maybe both of us may end up lamenting at this time next yr in choosing black!

ID gg to lights craft at jln sultan to see got nicer ones anot tmr. i oso lazy to compare prices lei. tat day i oso specially bought a tap from another shop. my sanitary mostly from lookz except wc fr ssc and tat one tap from sparco. v ex oso - $220. heart pain. but nice nvm la, try to tink of it as money well spent! when u look at it, u feel happy. but can i ask downlight is got wat difference? actually i noe nuts abt light lei. i'm only looking for my breakfast counter pair of hanging lights and bedroom pair of hanging bedside lights. e rest wat plc lights i leave it to my ID to go buy. he says costs quite std one. where u intend to have yr banquet n budget? if u have it at cheaper places like restaurants higher chance of having excess lo. if those high end hotels a bit harder unless u got rich relatives n frens!

to tell the truth, when i got married super super super budget coz i was only 20 yrs old surviving on hubby's single sign-on salary and i refused help from my parents (they wanted to rent a condo for us to stay till we are can save enough for a nice and renovated place) so me and hubby bought a 3-rm and moved in, had a kid and stayed for the last 6 yrs. we did not renovate at all and only bought furnitures from ikea. everything in the flat was old but we used them lor. it was in worse condition then my current new flat old tiles. but i guess it depends on priorities. last time my priority was to save and spend it on the baby. but now both of us working can have something better. just a pic of my old tiny home. took this when i wanted to sell the place and place on my own blog for free advertisement - 3 rm at teck whye lane. er, it didn't help to sell the place la, agent is still the best route. hee.. slowly slowly ok. yi bu yi bu lai, maybe can renovate better later on if u still decide to stay there (with the swimming pool just edited coz u dun swim haha, mrt and near parents). else, yr next place la!

MBR old toilet tiles. New homogeneous tiles laid. Its of rough surface type. Wall and floor tiles are of same material but wall tiles are rectangular (300 by 600) and floor tiles are square (300 by 300). Common toilet old tiles. The colour is similar to MBR toilet tiles colour but its shiny type with some grain lines running across the tiles, a bit like hotel marble pattern la. But its homogeneous also la, no money for marble. Maybe got chance stay in condo can consider. The wall tiles are also rectangular (300 by 600) and floor tiles are square (300 by 300) but the floor tiles are plain black shiny tiles instead. Woot~ I like..

alamak i tell u i cuckoo lor! i was confused with yr lighting shop and bubblepearl's lighting shop. she bought hers at edison lighting house. but then i went today to singapore lighting mart (yr one) thinking its where she bought. HENG, i go in nv ask for tony (e guy whom served her) can! still tell my ID say that i met a forummer whom bought a very nice light at singapore lighting mart and overall lighting cost only $1100, somemore svc super good, same day deliver and exchange. when i asked the price for the similar light at singapore lighting mart, it cost $1600! then my ID still ask me, sure correct shop anot? i still proudly say 'YES, maybe she got another design but looks similar!' hahaha.. stupid me.. i oso hope so there, if they have a station there BEST liao! very convenient!! i gg to stay long long time so not too concern abt value now. but hope it wun be too noisy or dusty when they r doing it. the swimming pool i tink shld be soon. got a colleague whom is active in the Residents Committee and he stays at senja so he say shld be soon le. reno already abt $50k so another $20k for furniture, appliances and furnishings lor. hoping it will be real good too, its like my 2 yrs salary lor. can understand, u still have to save for the marriage, at least i'm over that. marriage costs a lot - photo, dinner, ang baos. but high chance dinner can recoup la. i know of couples make a lot of money out of dinner lei, honeymoon fully paid for by the ang baos! but parents bugging me to have another kid, i say no money, all my current savings and future money (loan) is on the house already.
