I use the same laminate for your toilet for my whole loving room! It's my favorite !!! But mine is applied horizontally as my contractor say the size can't fit my length. Complicated.. But it turn out nice too luckily ..

Yes! Pls tell us what u mean by "touch up". I believe it's just paint over the joint. I guess painting over will not really last.. But better than not painting right ?

Somebody pls advise my above doubt.. What can I do to the black joints between my white laminates? I understand that ABC trimmings are only done up cabinets doors and drawers as normal practise. Which I don't understand why abc trimmings why cannot do at joints. I don't believe it cost a lot . Can I paint white for the joints? It's an eye sore for me when I see my pretty white laminate with black joints !!!

Anybody knows if something can be done at laminate joints? My laminate joints are black lines... My laminates are whites.. My carpenter say he can't paint the joint white ..?!?! Is it true? The contractor keep asking his carpenter to paint but I can tell the carpenter not willing.. He came out with reason like because the laminates are gloss, so painting joint is not nice as its obvious .. And won't last.. But.. I would rather have white painted joints though it's "obvious" , than black joints! I got a feeling he is bull**** me.. And not willing to do this additional work.. My htb say privately to me "forget it, we paint ourselves, what's so difficult " Actually I have other cabinets in while Matt ( not gloss) but looking at his attitude, I think forget it. Small thing I will DIY lor. I dunno how come servicing can be so difficult meh? I'm in service job, doing sales, and I go all the way out just to make sure my client is happy with my service and gets the best deal.. Even if it troubles me a litle more, with more requests, I'm delighted because when ppl commit a sale with u out of so many competitor out there, we ought to give our best. Read a lot of stories from renoblog that renovation is not done properly, and stuff. I'm glad mine is "ok, reasonable" and a lot of times my contractor agrees to change whatever I'm really not " happy about". But if I can live with the outcomes, I usually won't insist on the change. I totally understand how horrible it is to work with "fussy customers" as well. Hence alot of times, I'm tryin not to be one. Im pretty perfectionist by nature (me and htb are virgo) and it also happen me and htb are very easy going people. Lol. Well, my Reno is still ongoing.. Will try to finish up ASAP. Pending things: Kitchen pink backsplash My beautiful settee!!! Stay tune for the fabric I personally choose.. (I hope nothing goes wrong this time!!) I'm v particular about how it is going to turn out! Changes to my living room cabinets Full length clear mirror **** room (I know tinted is nicer but I want to create a bigger room effect) Mbr toilet to do up the basin tap.. Lights are 80% completed. We have yet to paint our Nippon momento walls for mbr and living room! Bought the color code "luxury pink" and I regretted! Sigh. So will be getting something else. Lookin at "night aura" for bedroom wall "Champaign Gold" for living room. Have not finalized yet. Big headache will be curtain in living room. Our living room has got huge windows and curtain will be v crucial to create the overall outlook of the house. All along I'm thinking of greyish light blue... But I dunno if I shd stick to conventional colors like "yellow gold" "beige" Later I'm gg to expo (maybe) to get the tv, washing machine, fridge etc. and perhaps gain city too. Hoping there's 36 months installment plan for the expo fair! :-) Catch up with more pics soon!!

My living room. Initially I don't want feature wall as I find it unnecessary .. Hence I combine my shoe cabinet/feature wall/storage into one whole pc of cabinets as shown above. 5 room living room is huge .. Without some cabinets or feature wall may be too empty.. And I dunno how to decorate. Hence I thought this is good money spent. The design turn out different from the photo I wanted, i was really upset initially. Now I'm feeling better as it still look ok after all. This is the magazine design I wanted. The drawers are horizontal with metal casings. What we discussed was not to use the metal casings as its costly and also it doesn't look that nice ... (I find it nice though but comments from contractor and htb was its not nice) I insists on horizontal layout .. Though I want to open like vertical cabinets as I have shoes... So I show photos of how to make cabinets look horizontal from outside, but open door in vertical manner. Quite cleverly, a few photos I found on the net and renoblog shows this method. However when my cabinet was half way done.. I realise there's no horizontal at all.. And there's no white for the 4 layers of cabinets! I was initially very upset. Turn out it look half as good. Contractor say if I'm not happy he can redo all. I guess my method may end up lookin messy.. So I only suggested few changes: - make the 3 white display cabinets thicker border to stand out (the 3 squarish cubes above) - the side of the cabinet and bottom backing to be white laminate (which was done wrongly) - ventilation at the bottom for my shoe cabinets (which contractor forgot) Workmanship is Good! -

My half complete kitchen. So pretty... I will probably buy some hello kitty utensils to match as I like hello kitty... It's with pink backsplash.. Haven't confirm on the pink- light pink like hello kitty, or darker and similar to my laminate color. I'm afraid the pink will be Overwhelming if I pick shocking pink (like my laminate) So I may pick lighter pink in the end! It's actually almost complete however I haven't took pic. My drawers are Blum hinge.. And with th anti slam features from Blum. Hope it don't cost me two bombs!!

The open shelf wardrobe is htb. Size just nice for him and he don't want sliding door. The dresser besides is mine. Will be full mirror.

The bed is not centralized as it is too heavy to push .. Haha... We going to pick a dark color behind the bed.. For the wall.. Likely to be the Nippon momento series - night aura ( greenish dark bronze) Actually I already bought the color "soft luxury" - its a pink texture Nippon momento paint .. But I regret .. As pink, orange , yellow wall.... Too colorful?! My idea is to have 2 standing lamp to be added on. Will make my round bed prettier :-) don't ask me why I pick orange bed!!! Cuz it's on promo set. I would prefer the dark blue bed. Sigh. It's sold.

My half done mbr toilet vanity. Wanted the typical hotel style - dark brown cabinet and white porcelain squarish basin but htb don't like. So I pick something white, marble lookalike.. Gloss... With a gold basin which we bought... And simple big mirror. We keep it simple, hoping the cost will be lower !

My house is almost done. I must say its very very nice. I think the way I plan my bedroom (space planning) is perfect for myself and I'm v pleased! - dressing table build near toilet (I need wash hands during putting on make up) - whole row of wardrobe for myself which I think is big enough for me. I've a lot of clothes. - a smaller row for htb. Just nice he don't need too much space. - dressing table is not worth it to Built in, hence I combine this with my bedroom tv console (so that I don't feel the pinch) one side is dressing table ; the back is used as tv console. The DVD and Scv box will be hidden in the dressing table drawers (as I don't need drawers for dressing table. I have a separate cupboard for that.) - bed is king size round bed. There's a lot of Walking space as I shift the dressing table/tv console 30cm further back. - room look big as I try not to separate the room into 2: wardrobe room + bedroom yet there is clear partition. For my living room, htb insist on the layout of sofa. He wants to be able to view the main door while watching tv. Most neighbors do it facing back. Kitchen: cut cost, we only do L shape. Anyway it's super tiny we cannot really do the another side. If done, need to do very thin cupboards at the same. Things I'm not happy: V ugly air con pipe. I was really upset.. Though I read a lot on renoblog, I didn't bother about it cux I thought gain city and my contractor around should be ok. End up pipes are running all over my pretty bedroom and it's such an eyesore. I thought that's the best way as contractor and gain city agree... But when I see some creative post by neighbors on fb, realized it can be done better! And my Aircon should place above my toilet door as it not only looks better, it's nearer to my wardrobe area ... Living room cabinets are v nice, but sad to say .. It's different from my design which I requested. Don't ask me why, I got nO idea!!! But it look nice too, though my original is nicer ( but complicated as I make some request to it) so I think the contractors just "make things simple for me" He said if i don't like it, he can re-do for me.. But I guess I just accept the already very nice cabinets ba. Workmanship by the 2 workers - perfect. My contractor puts 2 very experience old shi fu to do up all my cabinets. Fine workmanship, I can't find any flaw. Cupboards are neat, all close well, very delicate finishing. And their aesthetic is good. Maybe is my contractor effort. U know when u choose laminate, and roughly say the layout u want, u just gotta trust them with the overall outlook. And I must say its better than what I expect! The whole wardrobe looks very classic. Contractor is able to give me some advice on choosing laminate ... Almost all are carefully chosen by me. I went down to lamitak office to collect the big size Sample to be sure... Collected a lot! HAHHAHA .. And I never regret any piece.but luckily my contractor told me I should keep my wardrobe one color. (I combine with white print).. He say my brown laminate is leathery, not nice with the white leathery print. It's true on second thought. Now I have a very classic wardrobe! Some hiccups: Kitchen: Dunno why my kitchen quartz top need to be 4cm (instead of 2cm) due to they make the cupboard too thick at the top. So need 4 cm quartz top to cover. Tiny mistake.. But I'm ok. Dish rack: I asked for laminate (not frosted glass) but frosted glass was done.. And luckily! It turn out v nice! Cuz he didn't do whole frosted glass, it's with laminate border. He suggested gloss white laminate but I prefer Matt. Now I regret. Haha. Waiting for my pink backsplash :-) And the skirting for living room tiles, I wanted dark walnut color, but lighter shade was done... So he said he can paint dark for me if I want. But light turn out prettier as it match my doors! Lol... Shall post more later... Gg bathe now :-)

I also saw this brand and really like it. Super unique special and slim. Just that overall dont suit my theme. And my htb dont believe such a thin piece is lasting. Haiz.
