  1. but most of us work around town right? so the person who last use will keep it or we do consolidated 'order', JW will consolidate all the drilling 'order' then take the drill when SK's turn come we do the same :) can just buy one set of drill bits enough liao
  2. they didn't use drill, just hammer to knock the nails in :) but just to clarify, it's not the installation of the unit that they did this it's the little bits of wire holder that they used hammer
  3. wah this is exactly what i had wanted :) but stile say they don't do it for silestone guess i'll have to save this pix and over it
  4. oh okay then there's a lot of time for you to decide on what you really need my viewing distance is around 3m, watching 42" and it's just nice if too far no point getting HD liao coz can't tell the difference which vale are you in? me also in SK, an EA as well
  5. hahaha next time i see ah keong i shall tell him you say he look cute for me as long as the process is smooth (i don't have to take leave to oversee) and handover is done with all defects rectified, i'm a satisfied customer even their painter uncle also very good i was at my unit for air-con installation while the painter was painting after the air-con workers are done, the painter actually go and check the affected areas and told the workers that they need to patch up the chipped areas did not encounter the electrician coz i spent all my leave on the HDB rectification works but i believe should be the same guy, same as MaCe also
  6. yes agree that regular driving is the most important think i've got an advantage coz i sat in my bf's car for quite some time before i took the test so i'm familiar with all the traffic rules and regulations, no chance for the tester to deduct points so far find that i enjoy driving SUV the most MPV a little too heavy so start off a little slower
  7. ah keong only show me the lamitak catalogue coz i remember seeing that the only kind of laminates that are more expensive are those metallic ones he also didn't tell me cannot use, but i look at the price difference (at the back of the catalogue) and i auto 'remove' them from my want list i have to agree that the electrician is really :) but have to to ah keong for his patience of clearing the electrician's s.h.i.t work three time he gotta change the laminate for my wardrobe coz the electrician just suka suka put the socket bottom line for me, i can tolerate mistakes if they are rectified pronto just like what ho bee did
  8. think our society has become so academically-focused that all learners have to do is remember everything by hard and regurgitate during the tests this is really 'return-to-the-teacher' leh, they forget everything right after the test i ever kenna a stupid driver who blocked my way in the yellow box when i toot him, he actually turn and glare at me :) some time really tempted to take down licence plate and go report police YES. most women drivers are not as good as men as women lack spatial skills i.e. ability to judge space that's why most women can't do parallel parking well out of 10 times i see a 'stupid' driver, me and bf will say 'women driver' and 9 times we are correct :notti:
  9. one not say those who fail first attempt cannot drive lah try a few times still not so bad but 10 times :notti: think should ban those who fail 10 times from attempting again think i was very lucky to have a VERY good instructor he taught me defensive driving while i was still learning so during the test, nothing is really difficult for me loh can you imagine he actually made me stop at the holland traffic light (the slope up one) but cannot use hand / foot brake? this is what i call driving lesson
  10. erm 37" like a bit small for living room? yup with the IT show next week this price should be gotten with no problem, with a free dvd player also oh yah i keep thinking about WM = washer + dryer so thought $3.5k not enough best way of going about this is getting those you need first then get whatever you want with the leftover budget difficult to budget like this cause most prob your one budget will eat into another esp if you see a light that you MUST have but bust the whole lighting budget i believe in getting the one that you fell in love with rather than look at the compromise everyday and dui sim gua
  11. when i did my renovation with ho bee (a few months back) there was no restrictions on the type of laminate we can choose which are the kinds that are above $50psf? veneer is a totally different material so the price increase can be understood even buy ready-made furniture, veneer also more expensive than laminate
  12. they used to have a beech colour one but guess it's not too popular
  13. wah petrol of $30, from your place to my place don't even need $5 petrol wor crossing my fingers for foc installation last time installation was foc, though the workers wasn't professional cracked several of my kitchen tiles
  14. hmm item 11 of F is not stated for D do ensure that they'll make good the affected area after removing the sliding door and what is F1? 1.5ft is very small only leh you having total 34ft of kitchen cabinets right? think better to get your ID/contractor to put it down instead of 17ft top and bottom as for painting, do take note that colours from the different range of paint is different also, the quote usually is only for vinilex range, not 3-in-1 or easywash that means you can only choose from the vinilex range for G, means that you gotta buy your own mirror for common bath? thought your unit should come with concealed piping right? how is your ID going to change piping for whole unit???
  15. your bedroom lighting very romantic
  16. applefreak

    Change Door

the round part is higher than normal door? if yes then can just partition it up if not then you got to hack the area both requires a new door frame as well
  17. that's expensive i got the bangla to drill 10 holes for me, paid them $10 nia they did a very good job also think we should just get ONE good drill and lots of drill bits then share around here since most of us will need it once in a long long while
  18. if can pass sure got some skills liao mah cannot be can't drive but pass right? compared to those take 10 times still fail one, one attempt pass definitely better loh
  19. actually for the smaller stuff it's really up to individual for some it's a must-have while the same thing for others is a can-do-without
  20. wah $41 for how many holes? if you want to put heavy things, i'd recommend getting the 80cm initially wanted to elevate my microwave oven but don't think the 120cm can take it same as bunbun, me only put pots and pans nice, though got one pot is with soup
  21. think it's in a thread with a title like 'blanco sink' or something like that can't really remember
  22. not so much the price but the items coz from there we might be able to spot some items that are missed out but essential i remember a horror story of a fellow forummer whose contractor/ID played punk the contract stated kitchen cabinets but when handover, the inside is empty the guy said it's not stated in the contract so shelves inside is additional charge
  23. wow the fridge looks huge since you engaging FSM, maybe you want to ask if the wardrobe door can be reflective as it is facing your bed
