  1. Hi, I have the TV bracket and the screws, only need drilling service and maybe supply new screws with washers if he cannot recycle the old screws due to its hex head cap. An uncle quoted me $40. Is it considered expensive? Anybody has someone in mind that you can recommend? hwoha
  2. Most of my unsuccessful IDs accepted it gently except for one who replied "Maybe it's better that way. So we won't waste each other's time".
  3. Sorry for the noob question, can u install an LED T5 tube light onto the normal t5 tube holder meant for fluorescent/energy-saving T5 tube light? Or do u need a new holder?
  4. Incorrect info from ur friend. I bought my kitchen lights from them. They do charge gst leh.
  5. Hi guys, I have actually engaged A2Z for my renovation with a lot of uncertainties in the beginning as there is no reviews to be found about them here in renotalk or the internet. I decided to go ahead with them based on the price, warranty and the comfort level I had with the ID during the initial discussions. My flat is finally completed and handed over to me on Monday. I'm glad I didn't made a wrong choice. Overall, I am pleased with their works and attitudes. Workmanship is good. My ID Shawn Lee also deserved a mention. He has been very accomodating and willing to throw in a few small things free of charge, eg. helping me to install the curtain brackets I bought from Ikea, install an extra 13amp double point (after electrical work is completed), install the washing machine and fridge (which I bought too early and electrical work wasn't completed at that same so the Harvey Norman guys cannot install them). Every defect reported to him is usually rectified within a day or two, unless his workers are awasy busy with other works in which he will inform me and arranged another day for them to come down to do the rectification works. Moreover, he never push me for any payments which I have seen happening with many other IDs. The whole renovation journey has been quite smooth. Even my wife was very surprised and felt so fortunate that we did not have to go through the tiring arguments that we heard so often people have with their ID/contractors.
  6. Look for Shawn Lee to provide the quote. He might miss the agreed deadline to provide quotation but if you give him a reminder sms, he will usually provide it on the same day or the next day.
  7. Hi Jerome, Can you quote for the following: Washing Machine Samsung WF8692 Fridge Samsung 2-doors RT-59QBSL
  8. Hi Batman, Can pm me your good source? I am contemplating between LED and PLC down light. Prefer LED myself but may go for PLC due to my tight budget.
  9. Hi Tim, Have emailed you my requirement and floor plan.
  10. Hi RyanMelissa, I would like to have your HDB supervisor taking care of my flat matters if we have a choice. We have issues with our windows too - screeching sound, rusty, loose, rubber seals falling off and dirty (paint marks and white plaster or cement residues left on the window frames). My HDB supervisor told us that HDB will only rectify the screeching sound and rubber seals problems. They will not change new windows for us. Even for the rusty and dirty problems, either we clean them ourselves or we have to find our own contractor to clean them up....
  11. Hi, can I have isiah's contractor's contact too?
  12. Hi, Can I have ID contact nos? As I have a rather tight renovation budget, I need to find an ID who can help me save some money.
  13. Hi, Has anyone engaged A2Z Interior Design Pte Ltd before? Mind to share your experience with them? I find their resale HDB package and 5 years workmanship and after sales service warranty quite attractive.
  14. Hi TilerSeng, I have emailed you my floor plan on 10 Oct to quote for hacking and tiling works. I think either your good self or your colleague (the name is Alvin) replied on 20 Oct saying the quotation will be ready the next day but until today I still have not received it.
  15. Haven't seen your pictures yet but I am interested to know how much you have spent on your renovation cause my flat is very similar to yours, also a resale unit and is 103sqm.
  16. Anyone have experience with Jeanne Ang from PLUSH? Is she good? She has responded to my RFQ.
  17. Hi Ivy, I would like to have the list too. Can you PM it to me? Thanks.
  18. Hi Jay, I also bought my first flat under SOBF scheme. It is a 18+yrs, 2nd level flat and we will be viewing it next Tuesday. Btw, I think the $30,000 subsidy is only for first time applicants buying resale flats from open market. Not sure why ours are not considered "resale" flats even though they are bought from HDB directly. After all, they are still old flats, occupied by previous owners. During my flat selection, I asked the HDB officer why our flat is more expensive than the new ones. The price is enough to buy a new 5 rms flat in my area (Woodlands). The main reason he gave me is that our flat is readily available and we don't have to wait a few years for our new flat. If my wife isn't so adamantly wanted a flat of our own ASAP, I would rather wait for the upcoming Sep BTO and buy a 5 rms flat at that price. Given that it is very likely that we may need to re-do the whole renovation of our flat, I would rather HDB hack away all the tiles for free and help me save on the hacking/hualage fees which from what i understand can comprise of a substantial portions of total renovation charges.
  19. Hi, Can pm me your contractor's details and contact nos too? Hope to see your pic soon.
