  4. Wow really? Took me awhile to decide cos all the whites/offwhites that were available looked so similar. Then it took abit of effort convincing the bf. but actually I duno how it will look as a huge slab. I hope it won't be too bling looking cos im trying the scandi look

  8. Not yet but definitely planning too! I also saw a sofa at comfort design which hommage carries too tho I haven go check out the prices. Btw that dining set I mentioned earlier, 930 was 1st price quoted, when we bargain briefly, he say 900. N that is with him knowing that we were only going to start reno n not buying yet. Im quite sure when we go back n also purchase sofa n the rest, he should be able to give further discount
  9. Is the spotlight shelf a movable one or nailed to the wall?
  10. Hm I'm not sure of the solid top brand but I can try to check. The laminates r mostly for EDL except for 1 from Admira. Those were the only 2 brands at my contractor had.
  11. For dining sets at HN, check if hommage carries them. There was a set I saw in discount at HN at 1699. (Orig price is supossedly 2099) Hommage only 930
  12. Hi pinkwhale, where'd you source your tracklights from? Whats the width of each light? Thanks!
  13. Just add some candy motifs n it'll look like the house in hensel n gretal
  14. Lovely cozy home How many seater did you get for the sofa?
  15. Hacking completed! From Main Door Before: Uploaded with ImageShack.us After: Uploaded with ImageShack.us From Living room to Kitchen: Before: Uploaded with ImageShack.us After: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Much bigger & brighter than before!
  16. Im also getting subway tiles with white grouting in the kitchen too! Dirty grouting was a concern but since we will hardly cook, shouldnt be much of a problem.
  17. Thanks greglhc! Came across that before but forgot about it. Per the calculations, 24btu for the common area is totally not enough (apparently I'm short of like another 11 btu unit) but just did a measurement of my current (mum's) home & realised that its also the exact same aircon as I'll be getting (specs n all). The common area here is 45.4sqm & a 24btu actually makes the place quite cold - ironically it makes it too cold that we hardly use it. Now I'more inclined to get it too, once I get the stamp of approval from the bf!
  18. Managed to get 2 quotes, is there really a difference between G23 & G22 copper pipes? Aircon uncle actually advised against installing living room aircon. Is 24btu really too weak for a 50sqm area? comprising of living, dining, open kitchen, entrance area & corridor to rooms. But actually I dont need to to be freezing cold.. just to provide some cool air with we have large group gatherings, cos we also have a ceiling fan in the living to circulate. The rooms are: 9btu for 13sqm 9btu for 12sqm 9btu for 18sqm(but after putting wardrobe will be left with 16sqm. he suggested 12btu but i think no need. Tho difference b/w taking a 9btu & 12btu is about $90).
  19. That's the problem.. he's a regular...
