  1. Make sure you don't spray and wet the passer by below mah
  2. Drawers take more time to construct & more parts to install & adjust. So likely cost pfr will be higher. Better check with your contractor to avoid any misunderstanding.
  3. The telescopic hood has air vents above that must not be covered or blocked. Else will not be effective. You can get more info from the sales staff. Some telescopic hoods has air vents at the front - activated when you pull out. Some have air vent at the top. Like the AT1490X. Where the air vent is will impact your top cabinet design.
  4. Wrt Brandt hood, are you referring to the Brandt telescopic hood? AT1490X? Max airflow 1000m3/h. You can compare with other hood u have in mind.
  5. The picture is to illustrate the full height or tall kitchen cabinets. You are blessed with the possibility of a real kitchen island. The island can be placed straddling between your (old) kitchen and dining area. So your guests can move around or if you choose, to sit around the island.Cheers & all the best in your discussion with your ID.
  6. I just installed white quartz and its true stains are more visible. But you can wipe it off relatively easily with cif. I'm using Cesaerstone snow by the way.
  7. Not sure if this will work. Have the island at where the dining table is in the layout diagram. Then extend/ connect the dining table towards the left (where your entrance door is). The wall in the kitchen has to come down of course. If you worry not enough storage, you can build full height cabinet in your kitchen across the long side of your kitchen. Your island will have provide enough countertop space. If not enough, make it in to a L shape so the short wall you can have top & bottom cabinet & give you more countertop space. It really depends on your lifestyle if it will work for you or not. Cheers!
  8. Or you can relocate the wash basin to opposite the toilet bowl. Thus freeing up the original wash basin area to make it into a shower area.
  9. I have the Spin and I like the fact that you don't feel the wind hitting you. I find that more comfortable like natural breeze. Well, I guess you have to test it to see which you like. Sound wise - it's quiet even at highest speed. You can't hear the motor or blades rotating etc.
  10. Must be FS. I recalled someone said shoes cannot be placed higher than the person? I would second having taller cabinets. Can keep other stuff and need not be just shoes. The shelves are adjustable).
  11. Toilet accessories like towel rail, toilet roll holder, toiletries rack, hand spray etc can add to quite a bit. Unless u go TB. Renovation cost depends on how much built in you require. The more carpentry, the more it will cost.
  12. Nice layout. I see the possibility of an open concept kitchen with a real island (not peninsular type). With both wet and dry kitchen. Or extending the dining table to the island to make this the focal point of the house.
  13. From the pic, it looks like the top part is laminate and below is glass.so there are two layers of different materials but same thickness so it seems seamless and not obvious when you stand in front of it.
  14. The mirror cabinet should be enough for your toiletries. Get the biggest that can fit the space. For the under sink vanity storage, you can remove the drawers if you need to do maintenance of the pipes behind. It's a very occurrence though.
  15. Has anyone use Dekton? http://www.dekton.com.sg/colours/aura/
  16. I have a L shape kitchen too and the hob and sink are at different side. Most important is to enjoy the new house. Cheers!
  17. Is there any reason why the sink is not directly under your dish rack? You would need some elbow room while washing and it is easier to keep the plates right above you then stretching your arms to the left to do so, dripping water in the process. I know you can enjoy the view while washing the dishes at the current sink position, but I go for practicality. (Sorry if the comments sound harsh and no ill intention - just sharing)
  18. The Amazon free shipping for purchase above US$125 has some dimension restriction. Suspect the sink is too big to qualify. You can try email or "chatting" with their CSO to get waiver. You may not succeed the first time but you can try agin. Good luck!
  19. The top up is for the blum runners & it does not matter whether if its big or small drawers. The cost of runners depend on the length & weight bearing capacity. $50 is about right unless its internal drawers.
  20. Not trying to poison you but would second the choice to use Blum drawers. It's a small price for something you will use everyday. Nowadays go out one dinner you blow more than that amount already.
  21. I'm using the Baron W888 for 2 months now and I can say I'm happy with it.
  22. Hi zzzmonster, can you show me how your telescopic hood is installed? I have conflicting accounts with some salesman telling me must not cover the hole above the hood while others say its ok to house the hood in a boxed up as long as there is a small gap at the side. Many thanks for your time and if possible, can show me a pic of how this is installed inside the top hung cabinet? If there is a vent, where does it lead to?
